I'm currently on Femcon birth control. Is it better to start spiro during the placebo pills or it doesn't matter? It's a low dose of just 25 mg to start.
Anyone have any luck with such a low dose?

I was interested in getting some opinions from those on this nutritional forum to shed some light on the validity of this testing.
I just got back my report from the Nutritional Microscopist I saw a little over a week ago. He is trained under Dr. Robert Young, author of pH Miracle, and is a big proponent of eating an alzalizing diet. He took a dozen or so blood samples, live blood and then dried blood, put them on slides, and reviewed them with me under his microscope to point out concerns. Some of the major findings were: 1. stacking of red blood cells, related to poor protein metabolism, altered pH or acid imbalance. High diet in strong acids from proteins and carbs. 2. "aconthocytes" RBCs with pronounced spines/thorns, significant indication of tissue acidosis and body's inability to remove acid waste through the urinary tract, therefore it builds up in the blood causing the cells to break down. This causes congestion in filter organs (skin). 3. "fibrous thallus" or "colloid symplasts" indicates yeast/fungus. Diet too high in protein, carb, or use of prescription drugs. 4. "Bulls eye cells" fermenting RBCs indicating yeast. Diet too high in carb/simple sugars; sugar intolerance and/or imbalce; endocrine/pancreas stress. 5. "hemolysis" disorganized RBCs from acid producing diet, poor assimilation of nutrients, not enough good fats and green foods. 6. Disorganized granulocytes. Stress on WBCs from yeast. 7. blue/green crystals from fermentation of dairy products. 8. heavy metals seen in dry blood samples. could be due to environmental pollutants, cleaning products, personal care products, water pipes, acid music, acid thoughts, etc. 9. low alkaline buffers in dry blood samples. Deficiency in minerals. 10. skin challenges appearing as platelet-poor plasma perceived to be skin holding toxins, not excreting acids efficiently 11. circulatory imbalances perceived to be possible magnesium deficiency. 12. hypercalcemia perceived to be too much calcium in blood, possible electrolyte imbalance 13. bowel toxicity 14. carbohydrate and sugar intolerance There's quite a few more, but you get the gist. Is there any validity to any of this? Before this test, I considered my diet extremely well-balanced. Low sugar, low gluten, low diary. low sodium, no caffeine. I did drink red wine 5 - 7 nights a week. The past three weeks I have tried to maintain a 70/30 balance with alkaline foods vs. acid foods. I have had no gluten, no diary, no refined sugars, no HFCS, no corn, no eggs, no caffeine very limited red wine (once per week). His suggestions were increase hydration, water with pH booster drops or through water ionizer. Avoid all dairy. Reduce alochol. Avoid caffeine. Make meals 70% alkaline. Cleanse to detox the bowel. monitor my pH using pH strips. Also recommended a few supplements in the form of powdered greens, drinking clay, grapefruit seed extract, mineral salts. Any feedback would be appreciated!

I just bought my husband Mark Hyman's UltraSimple Diet book and Detox Box for Xmas as he has moderately high cholesterol and wants to drop 15 pounds and detox his body.
It's pretty much a 7-day detox of avoiding toxic foods, preparing and repairing digestive system with healthful foods and supplements, enhancing circulation through yoga, etc. Seems pretty restrictive. Anyone tried it? |
