I wrote a while back about a product I loved that helped my acne and clear up my acne scarring and discoloration. No responses LOL but I'm sure a lot of people don't use it.

I think the key ingredient in it was squalene and that really hooked my skin up acne wise and skin discoloration! One con I found was I noticed some really tine blackheads *hardly noticeable unless I hunted for them* here and there normally where I never got them before but i'll probably buy something from that company to combat that.

Has anyone ever used Squalene for their acne prone skin? If so have you noticed your skin becoming more supple or firm?

I'm currently using origins Plantidote line, the cleanser, treatment lotion and face serum. *its for redness, sensitive skin and skin inflammation, i'm assuming they mean acne*

Its been maybe 3 weeks now and I find that my skin looks really good and has a glow to it. It also stays really hydrated that and the fact I'm not breaking my no-topical rule makes me really happy too *i have a no salicylic, BP, also a no retinol, retinyl palmitate rule (anti aging stuff). I'm surprised that is has so many essential oils in it and i'm not breaking out but actually clearing up. With that said...

Does one in their 20's need a serum (i'm 26), I really thought this was just a special moisturizing one *or just one for redness* until I noticed a week or two in that my face has a certain look to it, this for me happens when retinol or retinyl palmitate is involved. I called it a plumping action and because I have a round face it makes my cheeks or cheekbones just stand out more. * I just don't like the look though my skin does look really nice*

I know this sounds really picky considering my skin is has almost no acne on it right now and I'm prone to be moderate to severe under the right or wrong conditions... but I don't like looking weird, or just off IMO. *off because certain favorite hairstyles don't seem to "look" right or the same.

Does anyone use origins mainly the plantidote line or even a serum on their face? I guess I'm trying to figure out if 1. this serum is really plumping up my skin or its just really THAT hydrated* I doubt its that hydrated* and 2. do I really need a serum right now?

This question may just fall under the use of anti-again products but I called the company and they said this was not their anti-aging line which just confuses me more. oompf.gif I put up some pics to help people try to see what I"m talking about, its mainly my cheeks, you see it more in the top pic then in the bottom.

Please don't be rude I just don't know where else to ask this question now, because a derm will probably just *rightfully so* look at me like i'm stupid LOL

I was wondering if anyone knew if chewing the capsule for fish oil would reduce its benefits and/or merely just make me sick. I can't swallow pills, I've tried and have problems even with small ones so swallowing these horse sized ones aren't going to happen LOL

Does anyone besides me even have a problem with swallowing pills?

I have really dry cheeks and I mean desert dry with an oily T-zone. I was wondering if I'm the only one with this skin type that uses two actual moisturizers on their face. I oddly use a shea based moisturizer with jojoba oil on my forehead and nose and it clears it up, but on my cheeks it breaks it out. On my cheeks I use lily of the desert's aloe vera and 4 drops of jojoba oil and on my cheeks and oddly chin it works and clears it up but on my nose, forehead and upper lip area I get a bunch of white heads from it.

Does anyone else use two moisturizers or take odd methods with their combo skin?

Does Turmeric when applied topically even out the skin tone , and if so is it permanent or only as long as I use it.
I just ordered the powder from amazon and was curious what experiences anyone had with it were.

I can't find the turmeric roots. confused.gif

I used to (for some reason) buy really expensive skincare stuff as a teen! So senseless. I think there are better night creams that Nightamins, but the smell just sells me. Sooo gooood.
