red marks make scars stand out more!!!

Ive had 4 pixel treatment, the doc went over the scars 2 times over, after the scabs/dead skin falls of, the skin looks tighter and i can clearly see the scars have been filled in, but a week later, my skin sags and goes back to its normal state and with the red marks, makes the scars looks even worse!!!!!!!!!!!!

i only have a few red marks on my cheeks, when i get hot or the blood starts rushing, thats when wen they kick in to action, i hate it!

what medicines? or what should i drink/put on my face daily to get rid of these red marks. and how often should i do this and when do i expect to see results? could sumone please tell about the lemon/water/rose water stuff u drink/put on ur face. how do u do it? when etc is all this safe to try after couples weeks after pixel laser?

iv read about TAMANU OIL, its costs about £18 here in uk, wow! shocked!

anything else? please giv detailed accounts, 10 years with scars and red marks has takne it toll now

after care treatment for Pixel

Hello all,

Just had 1st pixel treatment at the Private clinic today, thats in London (if u dont know lol)

anyway, my questions can be answered by anyone, so feel free to flood with ur suggestions

I was told not to wash my face for the first day, but i can on the the second day, but only gently. i was also told to put something on my face afterwards and daily, which i cant remmeber now. i cant phone the clinic now as its shut and also tomorrow and hence, have to wait till monday!

i was given, 'Aqueous calemine cream' which says it reliefs of mild sunburn, 'vasline' and was also told about using moisturiser, but i cant remmeber what to do, when to do it, how many of the lotions/creams to put on etc.

i was also told about sun screen, which i was told to put on when i go back to work! so thats a relief , as i atleast remembered one thing lol

i had so much information overload and on top of that, my face wa burning, so please pardon me lol

I AM STAYING AT HOME AND NO WAY STEPPING OUT THE HOUSE FOR THE WEAK!!!

so could u guys whove had the treatment tell me what do i do?

Erbium laser 2940 Full beam

Had consultation today, was told i had ice pick scars, which i dont think so because they are sooo shallow! anyway, he recommended erbium laser over pixel. he also sed that i may only need 1 erbium and 2 pixels or two erbiums and 1 pixel.

im a skin type 4. check out my scars in my gallery.

anyone had this treatment, how did it go? got any pics? what was ur downtime after each treatment?

Fraxel or Pixel Treatment

Hey guys, iv decided i wna do laser treatment as the chafing gel didnt really work on my scars! Jus need a bit of guidance which one to go for: Pixel or Fraxel (repair/restore)

i read a thread (which i cant find now) in which some ppl from uk (london area) had treatments done or having them done, could you all PLZ tell me which clinic u went to, which Doctor u saw, how much it all cost and post sum pics plz. and alos how much time uv taken of wrk. thnks

are all of ur scars deep? does the cost depend on the area treated or the amount of area treated?

money is no issue, as iv saved enough money! jus hope my mamager will let me take 6months off! lol coz i aint goin to wrk with patchy red/pink skin!

chafing gel feeling oily/wont dry up

Before u read, im a guy! So a simple reply would be great as im not a cosmetic person lol


I followed the steps: Moisturised, waited about 10-15 mins for it to sink in and then put on pea size Lanacane chafing gel (UK version) all over my face evenly. i waited for this to sink in/dry up for about 10-15mins, BUT IT HADNT, it was still feeling kinda oily as i tested it by slightly dragging my finger over my scar area on my cheek, but the rest of the face was so SMOOTH!. so i waited an another 45 minutes before it had dried up. I dont know why it took so long to dry up as my scars arnt that deep on my cheek are...probably jus under 1mm lol. but to b honest, my fondation didnt glide (like everyone raves on about) on my cheek area at all. Btw, i used my finger to put on foundation/conclealer to cover some red marks. Could someone tell me why it took so long? and how long did it take for u lot? thnks
