So, I've been on the regimen for almost 2 months and have just introduced AHA. I've been using it in place of my nightly moistoriser for the past 3 days, however, the areas I've used it on have turned bright red!

Is this normal? Will it fade after a few more days while my skin adjusts? I haven't been outside at all so my skin hasn't been exposed to the sun.

Advice please smile.gif

Hey smile.gif

I'd like to introduce AHA into the regimen to help with red marks, scarring and uneven skin tone etc, but I'm not sure when I should introduce it! I'm about one week into the regimen at the moment.

Any advice?

Thanks smile.gif

Hello smile.gif

Just a quick question guys! I've been on the regimen for about 5 days and yesterday (day 4) I was hit with extreme flakiness! I've read Kim's post on dry skin / flakiness and the benefits of jojoba oil, but at the moment...I have none, so tongue.gif Does anybody else know any other good products to deal with flaking? Or any good home remedies? I read something about virgin olive oil somewhere...so if anybody has any information on the effectiveness of that, I'd appreciate it! Also, how long does the 'flaking' period last? Is it a constant thing, or is it just present during the first couple of weeks of starting the regimen? Here's hoping it's the latter...!

Thanks smile.gif

Hello smile.gif

Today I purchased my products for the regimen which I shall list at the bottom smile.gif I'm from the UK, and have posted detailed comments (and in a week or so, evaluations too) on these products in the UK regimen supplies board. I'm super excited now that I have everything and can finally get the ball rolling! And will endeavour to keep whoever may be interested in my blog fully updated with information, evaluations, pictures - the lot wink.gif I'll be starting tomorrow - a Wednesday (19/8/09) - which I'm feeling rather dubious about as I would have liked to have started on a Monday rather than mid-week. But as they say, beggers can't be choosers!

I'll post the first bout of pictures tomorrow and keep you updated from then on smile.gif And as promised, I'll share with you the products I plan on using and the regimen I will sincerely try to adhere to tongue.gif

Products (as written on the packaging): 1. 'Simple || Regeneration || Age resisting || Day Cream - SPF 15'. See 'http://www.acne.org/messageboard/Moistorisers-t245556.html' for more information on this product, my evaluation of it and other UK moistoriser products.
2. 'Simple || Regeneration || Age resisting || Night Cream'. See 'http://www.acne.org/messageboard/Moistorisers-t245556.html' for more information on this product, my evaluation of it and other UK moistoriser products.
3. 'Simple || Kind to Skin || Moisurising || Facial Wash'. See 'http://www.acne.org/messageboard/Facial-wash-t245554.html' for more information on this product, my evaluation of it and other UK facial wash products.
4. 'PanOxyl Aquagel 2.5%'. See 'http://www.acne.org/messageboard/Panoxyl-Aquagel-25-Qui-t245131.html' for more information from other acne.org members on this product as well as a direct comparison between said product and rival product, 'Quinoderm 5%'.

Regimen:

1. Morning: i) Wash face with 'Simple || Kind to Skin || Moisurising || Facial Wash'
ii) Pat dry with an OLD, WHITE towel (strongly suggested because BP can bleach!)
iii) Wait 5 minutes, wash hands, and then apply 'PanOxyl Aquagel 2.5%' lightly to the affected areas.
iv) Wait 15 minutes, wash hands, and then apply 'Simple || Regeneration || Age resisting || Day Cream - SPF 15' - first to the non affected areas and then to the affected areas, careful not to mix the two. I'm still sceptical that the BP, despite being dryed, would be spread to the non-affected areas of my face through moistoirsing.

2. Evening: i) Wash face with 'Simple || Kind to Skin || Moisurising || Facial Wash'
ii) Pat dry with an OLD, WHITE towel (strongly suggested because BP can bleach!)
iii) Wait 5 minutes, wash hands, and then apply 'PanOxyl Aquagel 2.5%' lightly to the affected areas.
iv) Wait 15 minutes, wash hands, and then apply 'Simple || Regeneration || Age resisting || Night Cream' - first to the non affected areas and then to the affected areas, careful not to mix the two. I'm still sceptical that the BP, despite being dryed, would be spread to the non-affected areas of my face through moistoirsing.

Thanks for reading and I hope you all are able to benefit from my experiences, opinions and evaluations posted within this blog and subsequent posts associated with it accordingly smile.gif

First off - I can't spell moistoriser (I think) and I cannot be bothered to check the spelling so please don't point out to me that I've spelt it wrong (if I have)!

I'm on the hunt for a couple of good moistoristers which I can purchase in the UK. Preferably two different ones i.e. one for the day with a good SPF factor and one for the evening which is hydrating.

Anyone know any goodens'?

I used to use Nivea lotion non-greasy for normal skin and that was OK. It has no spf factor though. It didn't leave an oily or wet feel to the skin and absorbed rather painlessly. However, despite being extremely inexperienced in the field of moistorisers (and surprisingly, female!), I'm inclined to think that there's better one's out there, and I want to find them! (As long as there in the UK wink.gif ) Also, as with my other post on facial washes, I'd be deeply interested on other member's opinions on the Nivea moistoriser I commented on as well as their opinions and evaluations of other moistoriser products.

Thanks again smile.gif

hey i tried that stuff. it clogged my pores damn it. but interestingly when i added jojoba oil to it, it didnt. however it balls up and you lose most of it in your hand :( I'm thinking about adding jojboba oil to aloe vera gel, as a night time moisturiser. any thoughts?

and a moistoriser with aloe vera sounds good. idk a lot about aloe vera, other than its extremely soothing! which can only be a good thing after what the BP does to your face XD so give it a go and let me know what YOU think of it :)
