So iam pretty close to being on this regimen for 4 weeks. My skin cleared up a lot. It was clear for a couple of days, and then i think due to intense stress with school i ended up with a pimple on left cheek (almost gone), one big white head on right cheek, a small on my chin, and a pimple by my brow (just got it waxed on tues).
And well so far iam, but iam peeling a lot, my skin is super sensitive, and i think with the bp and the weird weather that my skin is getting more dry. Well, i apply more mosturizer both during day and nite and during the day, i can still see flakes near nose, and worst by my hairline, it is to the point i want to scrap my skin off, and it really itches. At night when i apply more mosturizer i wake up with super oily skin and it looks like i have no flakes. Problem is, should i keep applying more mosturizer, get jojoba oil although im really scared to get it bc i bought desert essence along time ago and i ended up getting whiteheads ( i probably wasnt using it right before). I ask this bc i really want a solution because i will be going to vegas next wed. and i don't want to have flaky skin, and i want to be able to wear a little bit more makeup then i have. And i want opions if it will really help, or do you think i may have a problem with a breakout, or should i just wait till after the trip to get the jojoba oil and if i wait i will probably get dan's.

So since switching to the very strict routine of dan's regimen with nothing added or diff.
I decided to switch out makeup as well. He says to use the almay smartshade. Well, iam hispanic. I have relatively light brown skin, but i also have redmarks and brown spots, in addition to little freckles on cheeks and nose, and when i have acne on my freckles it looks like a big mess, and can't tell whats what.lol So, i was wondering if anyone who is hispanic or light brown skin color has used this and found it matched your skin? And do you all think this would be ok makeup for me? (rignt now i don't have much acne except for a couple of whiteheads left) And would i apply w/ foundation brush? i always apply makeup w/ brush but wasnt sure since of the type of makeup this is.

so i just came back from walmart and only one product of olays has zinc oxide. And i checked everybrand in the store too and none had zinc oxide either.
Olay complete spf 30 defense daily uv mosturizer w/ vitamin E,b3 and provitamin B5 (7.5% Octinoxate , 6.0% Zinc Oxide) http://www.olay.com/boutique/complete/prod...1?tab=ingrelist I did notice that the generic of olay at walmart called equate had zinc oxide too. There are two of these. One w/ the added vitamin E like olay. And one for sensitive skin. The vitamin one has a red thing on it. And the normal one had a green/blue thing on it. Equate Complete Beauty Lotion Spf 15 Active Ingredient (Octinoxate 6.0% and Zinc Oxide 3.0%) http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?...999#Ingredients http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?...uct_id=10403101 Are these ingredients comparable to the original olay everyone loves? Has anyone tried the Equate? I really need a mosturizer so someone please respond. Oh and one of the Equate ones were for sensitive skin and i believe that was the one without the vitamins(green).

So right now iam changing my products since, i still get whiteheads and an occasional pimple. I switched my cleanser from mario badescu enzyme gel cleanser to purpose gentle wash (b/c i ran out). And im sticking with the proactiv repair 2.5% lotion. But i think my problem maybe my mosturizer. My bf has noooooo acne! he has beautiful perfect skin, he just uses some body lotion around the corners of his mouth where it gets dry. And well he once asked to borrow mine and he said it stings. I use it and it doesn't sting, atleast i don't think it does. Anyways i believe it may be irritating my skin.
Iam using acne free green tea mosturizer w/ spf 15. I live in texas, where we get ugly weather. It will be humid one day, and rainy the next, and then hot, and windy and bit cold and then humid again. Anyways iam trying to find a mosturizer that will accomidate those factors, i mainly want something that isn't to thick that my skin gets all oily, but it can't be too light. Im not working right now so i can't buy anything over 20 bucks. And i preferablly want something i can buy in a store and not online. Any suggestions?

Today I was checking my email and I am super glad I opened it and read this. I started subscribing to Paula Begoun because of the advice shared by Snow Queen and it has really helped me with product selection. But this really narrowed it down.
In this article, she talkes abiout vitamins, drugs, diet, tea tree oil and sulfur. She also includes information about retinoid, SA, BP and if they can be used together. She includes a list of her top over the counter products that can be applied to the method that Dan goes by. I feel this answers a lot of questions that we commonly ask on these boards. Hopefully this helps a lot of you who are having problems picking products that are right for you. I highly recommend that if you havent read Snow Queens post about Biggest Mistakes People Make to Treat Acne, that you do. http://www.cosmeticscop.com/anti-acne-2009...mp;v=3aa2060240 |

you should try tea tree oil! i watched a video on it on youtube and went out and bought it at walmart, and it works faster than the buffering lotion...as much as i love mario badescu (: it's abot 7 dollars for 2 oz. 4 Mar 2009 - 11:31

i have used the drying mask in the past, which also has sulfur, and i can't actually say that it helped a ton but it did help a little. and no, i have some cystic acne on my back but i basically bought it for acne that wasn't whiteheads. what i do for basically all my zits is apply the buffering lotion and then the drying lotion which i found helps a lot(: 24 Feb 2009 - 15:13

haha it's okay. and yeah you should try the seaweed cleansing lotion! i like the drying lotion, but yeah it only works really well sometimes. the buffering lotion i think works well on everything. like anything from small zits to painful deep pimples to cysts. i love it. 7 Feb 2009 - 11:14 Last Visitors
