Zit formed UNDER a hypertrophic scar, how to treat?

I have this hypertrophic scar on my shoulder caused by acne. Recently, it seems a new zit has formed UNDERNEATH the scar. It's causing the red scar to be a brighter red, and about twice as high off the surface of the skin.

Any ideas on how to treat this? I was thinking of calling my derm tomorrow, and thought posting it here might be a good idea until then. For the past few days, I've been using the usual product I use to treat acne--Tazorac-- and it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Mayyyybe today the scar was a little softer. Basically I don't know if the cream is penetrating to the buried zit. Thoughts?

Today my derm told me Accutane will treat my acne scars

This has got to be flat out bullshit, correct?

For acne, I've basically taken everything for it except accutane.

The reason I am seeing a derm is mainly to treat all my acne scars on my chest, shoulders, and back. My back is just covered with red marks, whereas my chest and shoulders formed hypertrophic scars.

For the hypertrophic scars, my last two trips to the derm involved steroid injections, I believe Kenalog. Only one raised scar was noticeably shrunk. So I went in today thinking I would get a 3rd round of injections.

The derm and an assistant concluded the shots weren't working and the appointment turned into a mega sales pitch for accutane. They told me everything they could to try to convince me to do it, but I have always refused to do accutane 1. because of how harsh a drug it is and 2. it's too late for me.
I told them, "hey, if this were 6 years ago and you told me accutane would prevent all of this scarring, then I probably would have done it then. But now that the damage is done, it's just not worth 100% preventing new scars. You know and I know that this is a medication that treats acne and not my scars."

Then they told me that the accutane would actually treat my scars. They said the red spots would go away (they might anyway over time, right?) and more shockingly that the accutane will actually help the hypertrophic scars.

I've never heard of this at all, including on these terrific message boards. So I am specifically asking you experts out there, is it bullshit that accutane can treat red spots and hypertrophic scars?

Any updates on body hypertrophic scar treatment?

Googling doesn't produce anything I don't know already and when I search these boards, any thread about hypertrophic scars usually has 0 replies. So I don't know if that means the threads are being ignored or if nobody has an answer.

Anyway, just checking in again, my chest/shoulder hypertrophics prevent me from ever really being in a great mood, so I'm just wondering if anyone out there has heard anything about new/interesting treatments for hypertrophic scars. Thanks.

Demoting self to Severe, have a question

My face isn't covered with acne, but I do get nodular acne I think. They are the worst things I get--huge, red, painful bumps under the skin that after a week or two form white heads which I always pop because I'll look like a fucking shotgun-to-the-face no matter what I do and red blends in better than white.

Anyway, there are these stubborn assholes on the front of my right cheek which I thought were going away, but the main bump is back... fucking great. So my mom asks if I want to see yet another dermatologist.

My first reaction was telling her that dermatologists can go fuck themselves and don't deserve any of our money for failing to treat me after like fucking 6 years of acne.

-I've tried 5% BP that you leave on at night for almost all that time.. who knows what the fuck it does, it certainly doesn't prevent/clear acne.
-I've tried Tazorac for the past like 4-5 months.. it treats acne better than BP but also doesn't prevent/clear acne.
-The moisturizer I use during the day has salicylic acid so that too isn't clearing anything.
-I've began using both oral and topical ACV for about a week and since starting it, new zits have formed. It doesn't appear to be doing much especially as the people that say it works say that they notice an improvement after like 2-3 days.
-In the early wars with acne, I was prescribed oral antibiotics but one of them made me throw up, another gave me daily headaches (right in the middle of class), and one was a low dosage so it didn't appear to do anything
-For a long time I didn't wash my face before applying medication. Then a year or two ago I started washing my face with soap. Then for like 4 months I've been washing my face with a cleanser meant to clean the face.

I've tried medication only at night, both in the morning and night, changing my pillow case every fucking 4 days, all while seeing the rest (99.999%) of the population walk around with perfectly clear skin, and like 4 inches taller than me. Put a smile on, my ass!

So the point to this post is, should I bother seeing another dermatologist who is just like all the others going to suggest Accutane? Is there any shot they can give me something simple that no other derm is aware of? Should I think about taking oral antibiotics again? Will they do anything?

Some things about me that make my situation with acne such a pain in the ass:
-The skin on my face is oily as fuck! When I wash my face or apply medication, I'm only dry for a couple hours. After that time, my face just oils up on its own and soon it looks like I have a fucking mirror on my forehead.
-Accuntane is not an option because 1. Even though it cleared my friends that used it, they don't endorse it because it almost dried their head off and both told me it fucked with their minds. And most importantly 2. I HATE HATE HATE needles and you need monthly blood tests on accutane.
-My chest and shoulders are covered with untreatable hypertrophic scars. I've tried a shitload of shit on them trying to get them to go burn in hell, but they're still there and haven't changed after any treatment ranging from chemically burning them with Head and Shoulders to the Hei Ba Gao shit from Jamu shop. So, even if my face acne gets miraculously cleared, I'll still be a lifetime gargoyle. Because of this, I refuse to take anything extreme to clear my acne. If this were 6 years ago and I was told something like accutane would prevent all these scars and shit, then I'd consider something like that. But since the damage has been done, I have no reason to put my self through the hell of acutane just to make sure my body has 90 red marks rather than 100.

So again to summarize, should I bother with another derm or accept that I'll be a gargoyle for the rest of my life? Thank you, and please don't hate me for the cursing... you can understand.

EDIT: Oh, also, my dad says like him, my acne will go away in my early twenties. Understandably, I think that's bullshit. I feel like I'll have acne for the rest of my life.

Tazorac cream... has this happened to anyone?

So weeks ago I got horrible breakouts on my shoulders from using my backpack. I applied Tazorac to make the acne go away/prevent scarring and I've been applying Tazorac to the areas ever since to make the remaining redness go away. Well, several days ago, I woke up in the morning and those same areas looked like a rash and were very itchy. Also, I saw that I had light-red marks (rash?) all under my underarms. For months now I've been applying Tazorac to some stretch marks located near my underarms... it's the area on my torso, right before my chest reaches my underarm, yet it's not under my arm.

Well those areas were super itchy and I couldn't sleep. Since then I've stopped applying Taz to those areas and have instead been applying Hydrocoritsone for the insane itching. Now, the redness under my arms is fading (still itches, not as much), the itching has gone from my shoulder areas, but now yesterday an itch developed on my anus, and today it's more so on the sides of my scrotum.

This rash/itch could be a result of something else, yes, but one theory of mine is that using too much Taz on the body caused a reaction. So, I'm wondering, has this happened to anyone else? Or do you know what this bodily itch is? Thank you.
