I went to a derm today because I wanted the red marks on my back gone so I was thinking a chemical peel. When I got there they told me that they suggested laser treatment and to go on acutane. I have been on Diane 35 for three months now and I have been very happy with the results. Though, what has become of the acne is the red marks. So, leaving the appoitment I basically told to go on accutane and then after do laser treatment but still be on diane 35 the whole time. That leads me to this question, is that right? to be on accutane you have to be on some birth control like diane 35. Anyway, I was reffered from my docotor because I wanted to get the red marks gone. She told me ( my doctor) that I should give diane 35 some time since it's a pill that takes some time to take full effect 6 monts or more.) She also said for my back it would take up to 18 months to see the red marks lightened and better looking I guess. So I have one person to say wait it out before I do anything one saying that I should take both diane 35 accutane and then laser treatment. My idea was not to go on accutane but to just to the laser treatment, so I could get rid of the red marks from the old acne and let diane 35 try to fight the active ones. plus, the laser treatment is very expensive so maybe it is better to wait the full 6 months for the diane 35 and go from there. ugh.. I haven't felt this low about my bacne is awhile. What would you do?

Hey,
I've been on diane 35 for about three months and I must say it has helped out my face alot and I only break out here and there . Nothing like before so I am happy with that. Though, my back. Oh god my back. there isn't really acne there. Well, there is about four active ones but it is filled with red marks from old acne. I have no idea what to do. I'm planning on going to the doctor to see what they can do. I know there is chemical peels and I think I may just go for that. But it so expensive. So my question is .. are there pills, creams that doctors give that have worked?.. or does everyone go for a peel? Insurence doesn't cover peels right because it "comestic" .. I'm from Canada by the way.. so if there is way to get around that please let me know.

Hey everybody,
This is going to sound stupid but I have been on Diane 35 for maybe a week I haven't finished the first cycle but for the first 4 days the oil in my face decreased a lot which I am thankful for. Though, just entering my second weak I'm starting to notice that I am breaking out. like huge cysts. I would like to say they are slowly going away but I can't really tell at the moment. I'm wondering if others have experienced this with diane 35 .. getting more break outs? I just wasn't expecting this. Also does anyone know if Diane 35 would help with acne on your back? I haven't seen much improvement at all in that area, but again it's too early to tell. I've been thinking that I should wait till June and then see how my face is.. I don't know I just hope this isn't the start of worse acne. Plus , I have so much red marks and light scarring on my cheeks due to acne before. I was thinking that I would aks my doctor to refer me to a derm to help me with this. Though, could I do that now or wait till the acne stops all together? Finally, is there something else I can be doing in the meantime to help with my acne? while I wait for Diane to work.. So really I'm just asking if there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Why the hell would the pill make you break out more .. when it exposed make them go away. Advice ,comments, support..? |
