QUOTE(Legend @ Mar 28 2007, 08:59 PM) QUOTE(xxndnromeoxx @ Mar 28 2007, 05:03 PM) My general diet (I mix these around, take some out, etc etc.) 9 a.m. : apple, orange, water supps: 2 fish oils (FO), 2 green tea extract (GTE), multivitamin 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.. : Bag of mixed oatmeal squares, and wheaties. I munch on these between these times. supps: 2 FO, 1 GTE 4 p.m. : http://www.healthyharvestpasta.com/RHH_WG_Spaghetti.htm With Chipolte Salsa and A handful of cheese The one I have, has 360 ish mg of omega 3 (in ALA form). I eat 2 servings. Supps: 2 FO, 1 GTE 7-8 p.m. : Dinner (whatever family makes... mostly lentils, steamed veggies, and wheat based bread) Supps: 2 FO, 2 GTE -- 12 glasses of water a day as well. And somewhere in there if I am not full, 3 egg whites (no omega 3 or 6 in there), and 2 to 3 whole wheat with salsa/cheese or More cereal (dry). or glass of V8 You're seriously lacking protein. Of course you could make the argument that you may be getting the RDA amount to survive with no physical activity, but that's not really healthy. More protein = more muscle to protect your organs and less body fat. Also, eggs seem to be the only bioavailable source of protein in your diet. I'd even say this to a female member. You're a guy, you need more. You're quite right

Gone out of the country July 5th to August 5th Finally Clear! < Click link for regimen People always think the key to fighting acne is to avoid foods, but in actually it's usually what they're NOT eating that's causing it to happen. It made no sense to start with omitting the small things that MAY cause acne for SOME people. Start with the basics of nutrition. You're a human, not an accumulation of minor problems from every person! Not everyone reacts to the same foods. Not everyone has issues with wheat and such foods. Start with the basics of good nutrition and THEN see what happens, omit foods once you feel something is not working, but don't base a diet off of what to avoid, that will make you malnourished and very depressed when you have nothing left to eat! It is true that some people have issues with some foods, but remember, try it for yourself first :) Get to the root of the problem, because acne has a relentless and endless arsenal on the surface and it is sadistic. QUOTE Testosterone is a steroid hormone from the androgen group. Omega 3 fatty acids can also help to keep the production of androgens under control. Androgens are hormones that influence sebum production and are particularly active during adolescence, which is possibly why many teenagers suffer from acne. Androgen excess may provoke or aggravate acne by inducing seborrhea (sebum). In women, androgen disorders are frequently suspected when acne is accompanied by hirsutism or irregularities of the menstrual cycle. In men, however, acne may be the only sign of androgen excess.

QUOTE(T∑PLØ @ Jun 12 2006, 05:35 PM) A lot of the stuff people posted here isn't healthy at all. Here's what I consider healthy: Buy a bunch of varieties of organic nuts and seeds. Soak them in clean water for 6 hours. Eat them. Buy organic seel cut oatmeal. Soak it in clean water for 6 hours. Eat it. Buy organic eggs. Break them. Drink them. Buy organic vegetables. Wash them. Eat them. that's what I consider a healthy meal. Yeah, risking salmonella by eating raw eggs is super healthy. And, if I may quite bb.com QUOTE The human body cannot completely and safely digest a raw egg white. So, if you like to do the "Rocky Routine" with a raw egg or raw egg white in your drink, you are wasting your time, not to mention the threat of Salmonella. Avidin, which is found in raw egg whites, blocks the uptake of Vitamin B6 (Biotin) causing a vitamin deficiency. You must cook the egg white to neutralize the Avidin and allow your body to safely digest the protein and utilize all its Amino acids. |

mmm these are soo good! I got these recipes from The Truth About beauty by Kat James, I changed some things a tiny bit:
Portobello Mushroom Pizzas(not for those who avoid dairy): (makes one) get a large portobello mushroom cap, flip it over. Layer unsweetened tomato sauce, italian herbs, parmesan cheese, and onion and garlic slivers. Bake at 400 degrees F for 20 min. Take out and add mozzarella cheese and broil for 3-5 minutes. Soooo good, I acutally had this 4 times last week because they are so delicious. I need to stop before I get sick of it.

Same here teplo. A little tip on the egg though, the yolk is best eaten raw while the white is better lightly cooked as far as health purposes go. Really healthy stuff: - buy a juicer and make raw fruit / veggie juices. all the vitamins and none of the fiber, so you absorb it all directly and effortlessly. - buy legumes like lentils and mung beans, soak them for 12 hours and then sprout them by putting them in a colander with a towel on the bottom, rinsing them a few times a day until they are sprouted in 2-3 days. sprouting creates vitamin C, and increases the other vitamins in the legumes. this is also DIRT CHEAP. you can sprout nuts too, and grains. -wild alaskan caught salmon - put it in your freezer for atleast 5 days and make sure that the temperature is 10F or below. after that, defrost, cut into strips, and marinate in an acidic solution like lemon juice or apple cider vinegar, and throw in some spices like garlic and onions. eat raw. the freezing kills of any possible parasite you could ingest from raw fish, the marinating predigests the protein and makes the salmon extremely easy to digest. good for people with compromised digestive systems. -any berry you like as a snack - they're very nutrient dense foods, bursting with antioxidants. -white tea instead of green tea - even more antioxidants, less caffeine. ok well i know i may sound quite stupid asking this....but what does sprouting mean and how do you do it??? |

I eat lots of raw nuts and fruit for snacks like green apples, bananas, kiwi, oranges, almonds and cashews throughout the day.
My absolute favorite thing... ever is red lentil soup with onions, cumin, salt and lemon. Its kinda tangy and just delicious. I eat it nearly everyday in the evening. Other healthy things: Raw wheat germ mixed with yogurt and nuts Green smoothies (some fruit, soy/oat milk, flax meal, green leafy veggies like kale or spinach) Brown rice with sautéed or lightly steamed veggies and some soy sauce Dave's Killer Bread (yes, the brand is important. If you haven't tried it, it is the BEST bread and very healthy.) Tea (sage, white, green, ginger, etc) Brown lentils cooked with cracked wheat served with caramelized onions on top Salad consisting of, all raw, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and sumac (tastes really good eaten with dishes that are primarily a grain mixed with other things like beans) Hummus with vegetables Plain chickpeas food.... mmmmm. I eat all the above things regularly and then occasionally eat stuff like: Tomatoes cooked with okra (kind of makes a soupy/sauce type thing) served over rice Jute plant with garlic (kind of makes a soup/sauce thing) served over rice Cauliflower cooked with onions and tahini eaten with pita Pasta with tomato sauce ... I dont actually eat much variety when it comes to healthy foods. I do eat quite a bit of unhealthy food though. |

Yesterday I made sweet potatoes. I put it in the oven for 30-40 min , then peel the skin off and mashed it. I added 1tbs extra virgin olive oil and some stevia. It tasted pretty good. I ate this with 2 chicken breast , salads , avocados , and extra virgin olive on top. The green smoothie came out good for the first time! I added mangoes and peaches! then added some stevia. These made my stomach full for 3 hours.... was feeling very tired. Perhaps I should do 3-4 handful instead of 5-6
