So who uses it? What are results and side effects?
I bought some samples on like of the .3 because I know my face can be very sensitive. I apply it at night and right now it seems to be working but I know to wait longer because sometimes my face places games. Today I notice it was a little red but that may have been from the cold. It has been causing me to peel a little bit so that's why I use it at night. So far I like it. I also ordered some samples of the .6 to use when I'm done with the .3. Personal update: I have stopped using green cream. It made my skin smoother and healthier looking but it did not seem to help with my acne. I would still recommend that you try it because it might work. I have switched over to Diacneal which really seems to be working. I broke out at first but now things seem to have cleared up and my skin is a lot smoother and more even. Right now I have no active pimples, just healing spots and some comedal acne. |

Yeah. It's very hard to find though. There's one seller who has it on e-bay and I could only find one online store that sold the sample .3. I haven't broken out either which is why it's nice. My skin does seem smoother but I've only been using it for a few weeks. It's a low concentration so I'm sure it takes longer to get the results of the .6

I just love Green Cream ... have been using it for about 7 weeks, and my skin looks SO MUCH smoother and healthier! Wish I'd discovered it 10 years ago, but it probably wasn't around then.
I use the Level 6 and will probably bump up to the Level 9 after the initial 3 months is up, because I have extremely congested pores ... they've improved a lot, but not enough to satisfy me. Don't go up to the Level 6 until you stop getting any redness or irritation whatsoever from the Level 3. UPDATE: I just wanted to add a little info here for people who are opening the thread for the first time. Green Cream is a high-potency retinol lotion. It acts on your skin in much the same way as a prescription retinoid such as Retin A or Tazorac, but is less strong and also much less irritating. Green Cream can help with: Mild/moderate acne, especially comedonal acne (clogged pores) Red and brown marks Rough, sundamaged skin Fine lines and wrinkles Because this is a highly active product, it is important to understand how it works and what some of the early side effects are (flaking, purging). More info on this is available later in the thread. It is a long-term treatment and requires patience. Results can be quite dramatic, but do not happen overnight. More info is available at http://www.greencream.com UPDATE #2: For anyone reading this thread who is uncertain about Green Cream because of the cost, etc. -- here's another thread you might find useful. I pinned it in the Mild/Moderate forum a while back. It discusses some of the different options available for clearing up mild/moderate comedonal acne. I am currently recommending that people try the Paula's Choice BHAs first and see how well they do with it before adding in a retinol product. The two work really well together .... and some people may not even need retinol. The PC BHAs are an excellent product and very cost effective. Clearing pores, getting rid of tiny bumps
------------
After almost 30 years of mild/moderate acne, I cleared up my skin (and eradicated years of sun damage) with a combination of a high-retinol gel called Green Cream and gentle exfoliation. Here's my regimen log Last fall, after intensive treatment with antibiotics for a bacterial infection, I developed a fungal infection called folliculitis ..... itchy red bumps along my hairline, forehead, and jaw. So now I fight folliculitis AND acne with: 10mg Accutane once every 7 days (maintenance dose, down from 10mg/day); Face Reality 8% and 15% mandelic acid serum; and Vivant Spin Trap C&E serum (contains propylene glycol). I use Kiehl's Abyssine Cream to moisturize when the weather gets cold and dry. STATUS: My skin looks great; clear, soft, and glowing. Folliculitis is mostly under control but still with me. |

I'm still liking it. These samples last a while too. I'm glad I bought them before spending the $40 on the bottle.

One of those $40 bottles lasts at least 6 weeks and maybe as long as 8 weeks for some people (I am using a bit more than they advise, because my skin has totally adjusted to it now, so I went through my first bottle in a little over 6 weeks).
I can't wait to get my hands on the Level 9. My skin is really smooth and even now, but my pores still need some help. EDIT: my 2nd bottle of GC L6 only lasted me about 3 weeks ... I was using it twice a day on face and chest by the end of that time.

Green Cream is not a BP product; it's an over-the-counter retinol cream. It comes in three concentrations, Levels 3, 6, and 9. I believe that the Level 9 is the most powerful OTC retinol product available. Green Cream was formulated by a dermatologist, Dr. Nia Something-or-other, and is sold primarily through spas and online. You can get more information on this website:
Green Cream home page International users can get it on eBay ... there is at least one seller who ships worldwide. Q

First, I should say that I started out with really, really bumpy skin -- not inflamed, but little flesh-colored bumps EVERYWHERE. Like chicken skin. With gunk underneath 'em. And every now and then, they'd get inflamed, usually after a major pickfest, or during my period, and then I'd get real zits and sores. So then I started with the Green Cream. What's been happening since week 1 is that a batch of these little bumps comes to the surface every now and then. There's no inflammation, redness, soreness, or pus UNLESS the bumps are on my nose or chin, in which case I get tiny little microzits. On my cheeks, forehead, and jaw, I just get the hard plugs pushing their way out of my pores. Since I started using Green Cream, I've only had a few real zits, and those came up during my period. So yeah, there has been purging, and no, there has not been a horrendous breakout. And my skin is really smooth now, although there is still some deep-down stuff working its way out. Does that help? Q

Yeah, that's like the last frontier for me ... once I can shake the monthly breakout, I'm home free. Let us know how it goes. Q

Level 3 is for people with extremely sensitive skin. Most people start with Level 6. I have mildly sensitive skin, and Level 6 has been fine for me. And it has totally banished my bumps! Q

i'm in the same boat as amandakay_6. i still get zits from time to time but they usually dont last longer than a day. I think my problem is clogged pores. I have little reddish bumps all over my forehead, nose, and right next to my nose. my cheeks, jawline, and neck are basically clear except for the occassional red mark and my chin is where i get those few zits. are those little bumps clogged pores? i've had them for about a year and a half. i've tried tazorac, bp, and sa but haven't used anything of that stuff for about 7 months. right now i'm using olive oil soap and and i started using kissmyface aha moisturizer for the last couple weeks on the clogged pores. i read aha is good for clogged pores and little bumps but i have really sensitive skin, prolly from using proactive for about 5 years. the kissmyface stuff is only 4% aha. you think green cream would work better? the description on the website sounds like it'd help but i'm afraid it could make more long term problems like proactive did. does anyone know the long term and short term risks of green cream?

How long would you say one sample tube lasts? I have very sensitive skin too, so probably wouldn't use lots at a time. Shipping for one tube for me is 4.00. Do you think its worth it?
