You alright brother?

I cut out a piece from the Sunday Times supplement a few months back - just found it gain.

A person wrote in about acne scars - here's the reply:

The single most effective natural remedy to help fade scars that are the result of acne, accidents or surgery is Rosa Mosqueta, an oil made from the hips of the 'Rosa rubiginosa' plant which grows high up in the Andes. Its active ingredients have now been identified, and scientists found that Rosa mosqueta is a rich source of the essential fatty acids needed to make the prostaglandins (or hormone-like substance) crucial for skin regeneration.

You will find the same fatty acids in everyday skin and anti-wrinkle creams made from say, evening primrose oil or vitamin E, but the concentration in Rosa mosqueta is many times higher. It is also a source of retinol, a key cosmetic ingrredient that fades scars and blemishes and which works to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

I've looked for Pure Rosa Mosqueta Oil in a search engine - its widely available.

Anyone have any experience with this stuff?

Skin Biology replied to me about theCP serum/Exfol - but they also gave me the names of two other sites which offer between 40 - 70% Hydroxy Acid, which they said would be better for deep acne scarring.

The sites are: www.homepeels.com and www.makeupartistschoice.com

I've checked them both out, and I think Makeup artists has the 70% one.

You go to the site, click on 'Products' - and there's a table of acne-related treatements, click on 'Non-Glycolic acid - deeper peeling.

And you get the Home-chemical peeling kit. Now this is serious stuff - guaranteed down-time beteween 8-12 days. It ranges from 1-4 days peeling. Its their most severe peeling system - it doesn't say what percentage Hydroxy Acid it has - but its main ingredient is that - so I'd say its the 70% skin Biology were on about.

I'm after emailing them about some questions I have about it - I'll post here if you guys are interested.

Oh yeah - it costs $200 for a 4-day peel! - but hey, if it works who cares...

If it sounds o.k I may get it done over the Christmas Holidays.
