This is what finally helped me. For the first time in 6 years I have no Acne. I don't wash my face in the morning.
[AT NIGHT] -Wash face with Olay Dual Action Cleanser+Pore Srub -Neutrogena Alcohol Free Toner -Then I put on Aczone Medication. -10 Min. later I put on Tazorac Medication. -Another 10 Min. Later I put on dabs of Clearasil 10% Benzoyl Peroxide. The Aczone and Tazorac worked OK for me but after I added the Benzoyl Peroxide to my regimen it really helped. I went through years of acne and many visits to the dermatologist. My skin has finally cleared up. I have noticed that if I forget to use the Benzoyl Peroxide a small pimple will pop out. For now I need to make sure to keep using it. Maybe in the future I won't have to keep using medication, hopefully. |

REALLY!?
I was lead to believe that if you use ACZone along with Benzoyl Peroxide that your skin will get stained a yellow color that stays for about 2 weeks.... Maybe I should add BP to my regimen! I've used BP wash and BP cream alone on my face but that was like 10 years ago. I use both ACZone in the mornings (at night sometimes to spot treat pimples) along with Tazorac at night. Do you put any kind of moisturizer on your face prior to using Taz? I currently do however I might consider sans moisturizer since I've been on Taz for 1+ years and my face isn't as sensitive to the Taz anymore (ie-- I don't shed like a snake!). I find that I am constantly getting a pimple here and a pimple there because of the Taz.... and maybe I can go 3-4 days tops w/o a new pimple. I'm so pissed especially when my GF is always questioning me "why do you use all that medication on your face yet you still breakout!" while she uses ProActive and has perfect skin... I tell her she just has good genetics and it's not the ProActive! Congrats to you my friend! |

I used Tazorac and Aczone but would still get pimples here and there. I first use Olay Facial Cleanser. Then I use "Neutrogena Oil Free Fresh Moisture" right before I shower, then after showering I will put on a alcohol free facial toner. About 5 min later I put on Aczone. 10 min later I put on Tazorac and then another 10 min later I put on the Benzoyl Peroxide. All of this is at night, I don't do anything in the morning except brush my teeth and wipe off BP. My doctor never told me about the BP but because I would still keep getting pimples even with all of his medications I decided to add BP to my regimen. I didn't know that BP and Aczone can stain your skin. I ounce put on BP right after Aczone and remember waking up the next morning with orange rings on my face but they washed off. Ever since I make sure to put on BP about 20 after the Aczone with Tazorac in between. For the BP I buy Clearasil 4 Hour treatment in little thin white bottle. I think I'll mention to my doctor that I added BP. |

Nice!
I spot treated one pimple on my face with some BP and fortunately my skin is the same color! I further re-read the ACZone info and realize that it was a percentage of ACZone users that had "side-effects" which caused yellowing of the skin... so please disregard my previous reply. I'm going to implement the BP into my routine thanks to you and hope for the same results that you got buddy! To make sure I have this right, I only spot treat pimps with the BP, and not layer it onto my whole face? Thanks for the tip and best wishes with your newly discovered clear complexion! REALLY!? Some smaller ones even after 4 days. Everyones skin is different but I hope you will have success. Best Of Luck. - Sorry for the short response but it's 12:51AM and I have a Chemistry exam tomorrow P.S. Last week I was lazy to use the BP and a pimple came out |
