anyone use 5% or even 10% glycolic acid? I purchased some of the 5% glycolic cream today because my once non inflammed acne became a bit out of control these past two months and I was looking for something to clear it fast.
also, any side effects like drying or redness??

I would appriciate any info or personal experience on dairy causing acne breakouts or flare ups. I have head dairy can be badfor your skin due to the horomones but I am not sure if this is true. I love dairy products and often crave cheese. Some nights I will eat a whole block of cheddar by myself. But staying clear is more importnant to me. Please give me some info!

SO. I a pretty upset. My face usually only has non inflammed acne but this weekend while at a festival I discovered that the left side of my face began hurting. I went to the bathroom to investigate and there were three huge under the skin looking welts on my face all very close together. WTH!? I have never broken out like this since highschool! I have enough trouble dealing with my non inflammed acne and then this shit pops up litterally out of no where. I put some bp on it last night and all three got a bit smaller in the morning, they can to a head and i know ewww they popped in the shower. They are getting alot better but I dont want this to happen again!
I went back through my week to figure out what I ate and realized that I ate a ton of that cheese in a can spray u put on crackers, i mean almost a whole bottle! Do u think this could have broken me out? If so then I want to stop eating so much dairy and limit my sugar. Any tips on how to kick my dairy obsession in the butt? I mean I love cheese! LOVE IT!

I recently went on a search to find the best makeup primer for oily and acne prone skin. I rea reviews like no other. I mean seriously for everything. Before I buy it I search the internet looking for hundreds on reviews on products I am interested in. in the long run it takes time but saves me so much money knowing whats a good product and whats not worth my cash. So, in search of the best primer for my oily skin I found that smashbox got great reviews, however it was pricey at $30 a tube, and some reviews stated it broke out their faces. Ugh, so smashbox was a no go. Thats when I stumbled upon a review for another primer that isn't suppose to be a primer............
It's Monistat chafing relief powder gel. Ok I know what you are thinking...ew. Ok but this product is not for yeast infections lol. It is used for chafing and chapped skin, it just happens to be made by monistat. So I am reading these reviews from women who have used this chafing gel as a primer on their face and I was quite intriged. Women said it provied them with a silky makeup application that lasted all day. And for us girlies with oily skin that can be a life saver. The gel contains Dimethicone the main active ingrediant in any other primer and many people comared this primer to the famous smashbox photo finish primer. I went through many reviews, all mostly postive, before I decided to take the plunge and purchase this. yeah it was a little embarassing walking through walmart in the feminine care aisle and getting it but whatever those people probbly would never see me again. The monistat chafing reflief powder gel was $5.50 so wow huge savings compared to any other primer. I hav now been using this item for a couple days and I cannot tell you how glad I am I got this! It smooths my skin and controls my oil all day. My makeup does not look fresh all day but for like 12-13 hours its good! It sucks up the oil and somehow I really believe it has taken away some redness (other reviewers mentioned this too.) Seriously ladies you have got to try this if u want you makeup to stay all day and control your oil. just apply it after your moisturizer but before your foundation. only a small dab will work for your whole face so i can imagen this will last a long time. I AM SO IN LOVE! and for the record it has not broken me out at all. If anything my skin looks and feels smoother!

ok so I ned a primer for under my makeup. I want something that makes my makesup last and look smooth for that airbrushed look. Also something that controls the heck out of my oil and doesnt break me out. I have heard good reviews about smashbox photo finish but I am scared to try it bc it conatins silicone, as do most other primers. Silicone may cause breakouts so i am worried. Anyone know of a good primer?

Haha, I'm such a dummy. I just saw from I do not have acne's profile that your avatars are of Caridee English. I should've known, considering I used to watch Top Model. I was just thinking, wow, this girl looks like a model, she's so pretty. I didn't even think of Caridee. 15 Oct 2009 - 18:52
