A month and a half on diacneal. No changes for the better.
Still too early? Maybe. I still think I should have saved my 30 dollars and my time.

Hey going over to europe for vacation and I'd like to pick up a few tubes of Avene Diacneal.

I am going to all the usual tourist destinations - France, Italy, Spain, Greece, UK.

Where might I be able to find Diacneal? And what might be the cheapest country to buy it in?

Thanks for your help!

Forgive me if someone has already answered this question in this thread, but I couldn't find it.

How much Diacneal should you use each night? A thin finger's worth is what I'm currently using for the past couple of nights, and my skin hasn't reacted badly to it. Is that enough? Is that too much?

Thanks!

Current regimen:
  • Cleanse: SpectroJel Extra Gentle Skin Cleanser
  • Disinfect: Dan's BP
  • Protect: Olay Complete All Day Moisture Lotion SPF 15, Sensitive Skin
  • Fight from the inside: omega 3,6,7,9; multivitamin
Acne history: Acne battler since 1988. I've had really severe acne when I was a teen where there was not one square inch of clear skin, with tonnes of cysts. That's calmed down considerably, but in my 30s, I still tend toward mildly inflammatory spots near my jaw line and on my back.

I've been using Avene Diacneal for a week now, and it seems to help me with my skin. I had a huge zit between my eyebrows and it wanished in 5 days. It works wonders for me, not for many other people though

Hello,

Could anyone tell me what is the proper way to use Diacneal. Do you only have to apply it on spots or on the whole skin? I've been using it for almost two weeks and haven't noticed a lot of change.
Thanks

You apply it all over your face, on a daily basis. Diacneal is a retinoid, and as with all retinoids, the effects take time - in most cases 2-3 months at least. I wouldn't expect to see any changes in just 2 wks.

My regimen:

a.m.
-Wash with Face Reality Silica scrub
-Face Reality Salicylic toner
-Finacea
-Face Reality Hydrating Emulsion or Cranberry Cream
-Face Reality SPF 30 for Acne Prone Skin

p.m.
-Wash with Face Reality Silica scrub
-8% Face Reality Mandelic Acid serum every other night
-Vivant Derm A Gel -Wait 20 min
-Face Reality Acne Med (5% BP) on chin/jawline only

I also get facials at Face Reality Acne and Skin Care Clinic every 4-6 wks.

can I use Diacnel while I'm on Accutane? I read it somewhere that I can't put nor do anything with my face while on Accutane but I'm still getting painful acne and the red spots are not disappearing. Please anyone know?
