hey all,
i was wondering if there's a general consensus about how certain forms of acne (blackheads, postules, cysts etc.) form? can we for example say, that blackheads are caused by x and cysts are caused by y? i suspect it might not be that black&white but i'd like to hear what you've got to say. i have mainly blackheads left and i don't know why the won't stop forming. i think that the less carbs i eat, the better. the strange thing is that it seems not overly important how much carbs i consume in one sitting but how many carbs i eat overall. this does not support the insulin theory, does it? insulin spikes are caused by to many carbs at one as far as i know. could it be candida? thanks for your input.

hey there! there's currently one question that makes me ponder. i'm eating a lot of fats lately leaving the amount of consumed carbs at around 100g per day. Furthermore, i think that i maintain my calorie intake which is around 2000 calories a day but the problem is, that i'm losing weight. does anybody have a clue why that might be? my skin is actually a little better if i cut back on carbs bot too much fat makes it as bad as too many carbs. the treshold is just higher with fats. any ideas? thanks

hey everyone,
the way i see it at the moment is that i break out from whatever nutriens i consume if it exceeds ~2000 calories a day. i can manage to stay relatively clear if i eat less than that but the problem is that i feel week and i'm losing weight this way. i'm 5"11' and weigh 140lbs but dropped to 136lbs within a week of eating the way i have to maintain OK skin. now my suspicion is that it's to do with digestion and my question is what can i try to improve it? thanks!

hey everybody,
there has always been this one question in my mind: why do we get acne while others don't? we know that many people cleared by following their very own healthy diet but still there're many of us who are not getting clear no matter what they try. that got me thinking. i agree that diet, stress and all these things play a role in the whole picture but i feel that they are just triggers. i agree with everything that you people have researched on the board but why can certain people eat garbage and not have skin problems? i don't believe when some people claim that it's the genes. are we really treating the cause? more likely the triggers... isn't the cause more deeply routed in organs that regulate hormones like the liver? if everything was alright then diet, stress and all these things wouldn't trigger symptoms right? i just don't see what else it could be because if e.g. high GI food is bad for us, why isn't it affecting other people and thus causing the same symptoms? the list goes on and on we all kow that. i just would like to hear your ideas on this issue thanks |
