To celebrate the expiration of my suspension following derogatory comments, I am releasing my secret weapon, a very effective mixture of relatively "natural" ingredients. It is a facemask, to be used whenever possible. Here is a list of the ingredients to be mixed:
1 crushed pill of aspirin (completely powdered) 1 crushed pill of ibuprofen (completely powdered) 5 drops of apple cider vinegar 2 drops of rubbing alcohol 3 drops of tea tree oil Half a dice worth of honey Half a dice worth of yogurt Half a dice worth of olive oil Mix all ingredients into a smooth oily paste, and apply to face. You can keep it on as long as possible, I have not noticed it to be irritating. It is definately worth at least a try before you dismiss it. I highly recommend it for mild to moderate acne.

"I use Proactive," says Diddy in the ad, because it helps "moisturize my situation and preserve my sexy."
However, just months after the ads, Diddy says he started to experience breakouts and decided to file suit, saying the product has discredited him in the hip-hop community. "I look foolish on an infomercial promoting a product for skin care and my skin still has bumps on it," says P. Diddy in a statement. Hours later, Guthy Renker filed a countersuit claiming that Diddy has failed to "preserve his sexy" and carefully follow the product instructions. The corporation also cites Diddy's affiliation with Diet Pepsi, for which he is also a spokesperson, as the true source of his acne woes. In the counter-suit, Guthy Renker claims that Diddy's consumption of sugary products such as Diet Pepsi has neutralized the cleansing effects Proactiv Solution provides. Hello again
It could not be more simple. Skip ALL products. All you need is water and.... drumroll please... YOGURT! Rub yogurt on your face whenever you can/ leave it on as a mask and wash it off. And wash only your face with lukewarm water. Before you go out, rub a thin layer of yogurt on your face. Once it dries/ is absorbed it wont smell and it can't be seen. This worked for me, i suggest you give it a try for a few days.

Here is the deal, I moved 3 years ago and have been suffering from acne for the past year. Once a year I have been back to visit my very good friends who I am very comfortable with. So this last year I have had quite severe acne. This time of year is when I usually go and visit my friends. They have seen me with bad skin and ive never felt uncomfortable. Although since I this last year got into a new environment I felt quite uncomfortable with my skin, and was afraid I would be uncomfortable around my friends.
So I had very very few active pimples. Yet I had loads and loads of terrible looking, angry red marks which I had been fighting for the last month, and wasn't seeing any progress. So as I left my house, I had done nothing differently. In the car I was getting preparing myself to face my friends with my angry plentiful red marks. So I got "sort-of over it", when I met them I pretended like I didn't give 2 sh*ts about the marks. So we went out for honestly just a few drinks (I had 2, this is important for what is to come) in a very warm and humid environment. Alcohol (even in tiny amounts), humidity, and heat all make my red marks much much worse. It is not hyperpigmentation but more like scabs and inflamed areas. I went to the bathroom and hesitated to look in the mirror since all was going well. Then guess what happened, I couldn't help myself. I looked in the mirror and was expecting a complete disaster, and a thourough beating of the confidence I had built up so far. Here comes the abso-f*cking-lutely amazing part. I swear to god it was as good as gone, my skin was "normal", and I really didn't mind the few ones that were left. These were severe red marks prior to this experience in my opinion. I had had 2 drinks, more than enough to aggrevate the red marks, yet not enough to cloud my judgment, and it was hot and humid. I was almost going to faint, I could not believe it. This gave me a huge boost of confidence. I went to bed without washing my face/ yogurt mask or anything else. Woke up next morning expecting disaster yet again. Now the very faint ones had dissapeared!!! I have now had the best 5 days in the last year. I haven't thought about my skin once, well until i came on here and had to share this odd experience. I have decided to stay longer than planned So the bottom line (short version for lazy readers). I had been struggling with acne and red marks for the past year, and was in a new environment when I broke out. I got very self-concious, I used to stay in to avoid being seen etc. In the last month it was still bad and I had seen no improvement. Then I went from an uncomfortable environment to a comfortable environment, and even aggrevated my red marks, and they were pretty much gone in 24 hours. I really have no idea as to how it happened, but I am not complaining. Acne is now much easier to control that there are no open abrasions and wounds and marks and shit. I finally consider myself clear (according to myself), and I do not worry about my skin one bit. I came to the conclusion that this might be from self-judgment, although I do not believe it 100% since the improvement was far far too drastic. Has anyone had a similar experience? p.s. wasn't sure where to post this... Success story/Giving hope to others section PLZ! I will still lurk around forums every now and then. I have become quite the admire-er and extensive knowledge-bank on nutritional/natural approaches, so I will still contribute what I have time for, since I am now busy living my life to the fullest. Sorry for the long read, I haven't shared this with anyone except for the people who have read this before you. I could keep writing for ages out of joy and happiness.

Just plain yogurt as a face mask until it dries is very good for red marks. I don't even use the low fat stuff, just regular old plain yogurt.
Yogurt is relatively high in lactic acid which is a type of AHA. It is basically a milder and natural version of the industrial AHA made for acne. It also moisturizes very well. Anyone else tried this? Give it a try. It works very well for me. |
