Hey guys and girls @ acne.org.
I've actually taken the plunge seen a derm and been perscribed with Accutane.... I was told 20mg twice at night after my intial 2 week warmup phase... So here i was thinking things are starting to look up skin was clearing... while i was using the Enthroyminocin for the 2 weeks to prevent flaring when i went on accutane... Then the shit hit the fan and i'm pretty depressed over it. My skin dried up heaps and i just got worse and worse... big red inflamed pimples which stand out like crazy. Not what i want to be on my face when formal comes up in 2 months. So i'm on my 2nd dosage for roaccutane. After completing my first 60 capsule dose the derm had to lower my daily intake due to elevated liver levels. Which may have been caused by the 1-2 shots of spirits i had during the accutane period. This is what i look like as of now nearly 2 months after being on accutane and i am trying to be patient but im thinking im doing something wrong.. I use a cetaphil Cleanser for my face, then the Nivea Young Tinted Moisturiser and i missing something here? What do you think? Images. http://yfrog.com/5h15092009412j http://yfrog.com/0f15092009411j

I went to the derm for the first time $160 later i was told to get a blood test as the best suitable drug to get rid of my acne related problems would be roaccutane. He has perscribed me erythromycin 400mg twice a day for 2 weeks to reduce the risk of flarring if i go on accutane.
The only thing that scares the shit out of me are the adverse side affects of roaccutane i really don't like the fact that it's stopped being manufactured in the usa. But i feel like there isn't anything else for me to go on... I've tried doryx and that didn't do squat. I'm just trying to understand if the risk is worth it and whether i should be worried about the accutane. btw im only 15 and 9 months. Should i be worried ? Ask the derm for a different medication instead perhaps? I just don't think my condition would fall under the severe category so why go on something so dangerous unnecessarily. What do you guys think this is me now.. 1 day after starting the erythromycin 400mg dosage.

Hey guys and girls i am really in need of some help. Over the last 3 months my acne has gotten progressively worse and wont stop at anything. I've tried pro activ and tried Doryx and some other meds to no avail. I'm booked in to the derm in 2 weeks and I'm worried that the derm won't be able to help me. I won't ask girls because i think i look hideous and i don't like people taking photos of me because the camera just outlines redness all over my face!
This is what i am looking like now and im starting to get blackheads on my shoulders and chin more... Please help me someone? Should i try ACV or something??? I think my main problem is my body is very hormonal at this point of my life turning 16 in 2 months... And i have oily scene and the acne genes from my dads side! http://img21.imageshack.us/i/04072009351.jpg/ http://img21.imageshack.us/i/tmp1112b.jpg/

Hey guys/girls
Long time since I've posted i never ended up going on any further antibiotics because my parents were worried that i was going to be perscribed with roaccutane and that i would become sterile and such... Anywho I think i've had enough of all natural stuff doing nothing for my skin and i have my derm referral so i should be getting some treatment soon. How bad do you think my skin looks? It's annoying me because i can't get a decent hair cut without red inflamed pinheads being shown... Cheers Brenton Last time i went on Doxy for about 2-3 months at i think 50mg once a day? It didn't do anything and Eryacne is the worst cream didn't do nothing. http://yfrog.com/0u06062009346j http://yfrog.com/0u06062009347j

Well after another yet failed attempt to clear my skin i think my only choice is roaccutane even though my skin isn't that bad. See below
I was perscribed Doxy for a period of 3 months cleared the skin up about 4-5 % nothing else... So my doctor said to take 3 capsules of 250mg enthromycin for a fortnight to clear up my skin and then go back on the doxy... So far the doxy is doing jack shit and i am worried that i am going to look hideous on my date the following weekend. Is it time i go for a more natural approach like apple cider vinegar or something? Because my skin seems to be redish not as much so many pimples and no antibiotic has helped so far. I just bought a new Tea Tree Oil/Peppermint cleanser and toner will that help? |
