Rash on arms and hands during last month of accutane treatment

Hey there I'm on my 5th month of accutane (Claravis) treatment for the 2nd time. The first time i experienced slight side effects and it was no big deal and made my skin look great. This treatment went really smoothly but around month 4 week 3 i started getting an itchy red peeling rash on my hands. My dermatologist said it was not a problem and to put lotion on it. Well i put lotion on it and it made it worse and even more dry. Anyone had this problem? If so how long did it last and how did you help maintain it?
