Thinking about 2nd course for mild body acne

When I first took accutane, I had acne everywhere. Face, chest, back, shoulders, etc. After my course my face remained clear and my body acne continued to improve -- including red marks disappearing. But I still get spots on my shoulders/upper chest area. Not nearly as bad as before, but still a pain for sure.

I've been washing with BP 10% soap for a couple months and that has helped somewhat, but it's not getting rid of spots completely -- not that I thought it would anyway. Accutane has been the only truly successful treatment for me.

What does everybody think? Maybe a low-dose course? For anybody that has been on a 2nd course after waiting awhile -- are initial breakouts possible again?

Acne has left permanent mental scars.

I used to have bad acne from ages 12-18. Those 6 years of my life were such a blur of emotional torment and self-loathing that I can't even begin to recall them. Anyway, I finally had enough and took accutane. Six months later and I had no acne whatsoever, for the first time I can remember. It was so liberating.

BUT, acne has left me with self-doubt that I fear will be with me for awhile to come. I get compliments about the way I look now, but I am so jaded (almost angry) because if they saw me a couple years ago they wouldn't give me a second look. I am the same person as I was back then, except for the fact that I am getting more attention now that I don't have a face full of pimples. I have a chip on my shoulder and I want to get rid of it. I like to root for the underdog but this is taking a toll on me.

Has anybody else experienced this? Honestly, I'm at my wits end.

Shoulders/Chest red marks

Hey peeps,

I have some red marks on my shoulders and a few in a cluster on my chest - what to use??? After searching 10 pages on this forum, I haven't seen much that deals with this, and I was wondering if there was something I should be using specifically 'designed' to deal with red marks on the body...

What have you guys used?
How long has it taken to work [if it worked at all]?

Keep your chins up - this is the time of rebirth.

It was about a year ago that I almost died. I was getting off an exit on the interstate and I was going about double what the exit speed was; I didn't realize it curved so violently because it was 4AM and I was exhausted. Anyway, I slammed on my brakes and felt them begin to lock up. I thought I was dead - alone on a dark interstate...just another teenager going too fast. Thankfully the brakes didn't fail and I was able to negotiate the turn. I would've slammed into the guard rail and thrown down an embankment.

It's been on my mind today, so I thought I'd share.

I'm happy to still be on Earth.
