Cortisone Shot - 1 Week Later

I rarely get nodules, but I had one near the tip of my nose a little over a week ago and had a cortisone shot injected into it. It's been about 9 days so far since the procedure. The redness is nearly gone, but there's still a noticeable bump.

Is this common and simply requires more time before it flattens completely? I read in some past posts that people noticed it flattened after a few days, so just curious if it sometimes requires more time.

Dead Skin Buildup?

I've been using Dan's AHA+ for a little over two weeks now, and every time I cleanse my face while showering, I can see a coating of dead skin on my face. I thought the AHA+ was suppose to exfoliate. I never had this much dead skin buildup when i was just using a scrub. anyone got an explanation/idea to remedy this? how do i go about removing the buildup gently?
