Sleeping problems on Spiro

I have read random comments where women have had sleep problems on spiro. Not because of increased urination, just not being able to fall asleep. Anyone experience this?

Water and Spiro

I have been made aware lately that drinking optimum amounts of water may make the drug work quicker. I know spiro makes you insanely thirsty but how much water does everybody drink? I have heard that 3L per day is good.

What the derm said

My kid is battling an acne flare-up that started after she stopped Yaz and spiro last Dec. She went back on Yaz and 50 mgs. of spiro about 5 weeks ago but no changes yet. She is graduating college in a couple of weeks and so the derm suggested the following. Increased spiro from 50 mgs. to 100mgs, 7 days of prednisone and also taking Bactrim. I just wondered what you all may think of this. Seems like we can expect something to happen!

Switching from Yasmin to Yaz

My daughter feels that she is way too emotional on Yasmin and just got a new prescription for Yaz. Do you think she will feel any different? Also, do you think it is advisable to take B vitamins for mood swings while on the pill?

Spiro and the 2008 Drug Reference Book

There was some excitement at our house this week because spironolactone is now listed in the 2008 nursing drug reference book as a treatment for acne. Perhaps it will become easier and easier to get a prescription as all the doctor's catch on.
