OK...SO ME BEING OF AN EXOTIC BACKGROUND, I HAVE TO DEAL WITH A FEW HAIRS ON MY UPPER LIP AND SIDE OF MY FACE (BABY HAIR). I KNOW ALL OF US WOMEN HAVE HAIR ON OUR FACES, BUT IF YOU ARE A LITTLE BIT MORE ON THE EXOTIC SIDE AND YOU HAVE DARKER HAIR YOU CAN SEE IT A LITTLE BIT MORE THEN THE LUCKY GIRLS WITH THE BLONDE PEACH FUZZ...I ALWAYS USE TO GO WAX MY UPPER LIP, AND TWEEZ ANY OTHER HAIR THAT WOULD BUG ME, BUT WE ALL KNOW WHEN YOU HAVE A FEW PIMPLES AND YOU SKIN GETS A LITTLE ON THE SENSITIVE SIDE WHETHER YOU ARE USING REGULAR OL BP OR RETINOIDS OR WHATEVER ELSE IS OUT THERE, WAXING IS OUT OF THE QUESTION. ANYWHOOO I WAS SEARCHING FOR DIFFERENET OPTIONS AND FOUND OUT ABOUT FACE THREADING. NOW NOBODY WANTS TO GO EVERY SINGLE WEEK AND PAY EXTRA MONEY TO WAX EYEBROWS (THATS WHAT I DO) PLUS PAY EXTRA MONEY TO GET YOUR LIP THREADED, OR WHATEVER ELSE IT IS YOU NEED TREADED. I FOUND THIS WONDERFUL LIL GADGET CALLED EPICARE. MAH OH MAN THIS THING IS AMAZING. ITS A LITTLE METAL SPRING, LOOKS LIKE A SHOWER TUBE, AND YOU BASICALLY TWIST IT AND MAKE IT IN TO A "U" SHAPE, AND ROLL IT OVER YOUR SKIN AND SERIOUSLY IN 2 SECONDS THE HAIR IS GONE. IT THE SAME AS TWEEZING FOR EXCEPT YOU GET A LOT OF HAIR AT THE SAME TIME, INSTEAD OF SITTING THERE FOR 10 HOURS TRYING TO PLUCK HAIR BY HAIR. WITH OUR BUSY LIFES WHO THE HECK HAS TIME FOR THAT? I JUST GOT IT FRIDAY AND IM VERY VERY IMPRESSED. I BOUGHT MINE FROM SOME UK BASED WEBSITE, AND EVERYONE WAS TELLING ME IT WAS A FAKE WEBSITE AND THE REALL SITE WAS US BASED, BUT I STILL GOT MY PRODUCT WITH NO PROBLEMS..,I REALLY DONT KNOW THE WEBSITE NAME BECAUSE I FORGOT, BUT IF YOU TYPE IN EPICARE, IT COMES UP RIGHT AWAY...AMAZING AND HAIR FREE LIKE WHOA...

Aveda Shammy Cloth

I’m always very confused about exfoliating...Some people say you can’t exfoliate when you have active pimples, some folk swear by exfoliating daily...I came to the conclusion that exfoliating your face when you do have infected pimples on your face, especially cysts is a no go...What happens is the bacteria spreads under the skin, and makes a couple of pimples spread all over in to a big mess...I know this from my own experience, that when I have a pimple and IM like wow, just one pimple, now is the time to exfoliate, and I exfoliate, the next day around the pimple I will have more pimples...So I threw out all the Dermaloiga, Neutrogena exfoliating products I have because they do irritate the heck out your skin, and spread the acne around...That’s when I was even more confused because how the heck are you supposed to get the dry skin/flakes of your face if you don’t exfoliate...NO exfoliation at all still equals breakouts...Anyway I always have washed my face with my hands, and then I spoke to my mom and she said back when she was my age all the women would use a wash cloth and acne was never an issue...I thought it’s a good idea, but didn’t want to use a washcloth because I know bacteria will multiply and make that washcloth in to their home. That’s when I decided to ask my friend of her opinion (the bastard has clear skin darn her) anyway she told me she has the same washcloth that she uses for over a year...I was like "ew the same washcloth for a year, that’s gross" Anyway she told me it’s not a regular towel washcloth I am thinking of and told me to check it out...So I went and googled Aveda Shammy Cloth, read the reviews, was iffy, but for only $9 buckaroos and having no way to exfoliate now, I thought what the hell might as well give it a shot...Mannnnnnnn let me tell you...I swear by this lil shammy cloth now...Its real soft, yet abrasive (if you want to call it that, can’t think of another word) enough to exfoliate and get all the dry flakes of without irritating the heck out of the volcanoes...Another cool thing that really made me drawn to this little piece of cloth was after you do your thing, and hang it, it dries completely hard, like rock hard, cast hard...I really don’t know how they do it, nor do I know the science behind it, but it dries completely hard to keep the bacteria out, and when you wet it, it becomes soft again...I guess that’s what my friend meant by you can use it for over a year...Anyway I have been using it for quite awhile and it diminished my breakouts without the nasty irritation by like 80%...This is just a little tip for the people out there that need to exfoliate, but can’t stand exfoliating with all this crap in a bottle they sell...

Hello Acne.org land...Im obviously a newbie on here...Thought I would join to maybe give some people advice since I went through a depressing couple of month with hormonal jaw acne...I always had clear skin and all of a sudden acne just hit me...Never having to deal with it before, I felt like a monster and I had no idea what to do...I stocked up on 1038321 products, switiching them every day because I wanted immideate effects and nothing was working the way I wanted to...I was super obsessing over my face, staring at it every 5 seconds...Anyway, I got tired of being in the mirror all the time, dreading to wake up to see the same pilmples there...A couple month later, I pretty much threw away all this chemical BS I spend so much money on, and now Im all about eating healthy (no DR PEPPER grrrr sucks ), using the simplest cheapest products possible, and not stressing out over every single bump that comes up on my face. I see plenty of people Im attracted to and I see their eyes and lips and everything else first, not their acne; so I figured people see me for me also, not a couple of bumps here and there.
