I have enormous success on Dan's regimen, to the point that most people my age (17) would not even consider what I have as "acne." Usually if there is an active spot on my face, it's because I decided to vacate a clogged pore with unhappy results. That said, my minor acne does return if I don't continue to be on the regimen. Unfortunately, I simply cannot use BP during the day as it has always ruined several of my shirts via collar bleaching. I have tried to work around this problem in a lot of ways, but have given up at this point.

Since then, I have only been using cleanser + BP at night and cleanser + moisturizer in the morning. I really want to be able to use something that actually fights my acne during the day, but don't really know what to go with. I have had minimal success with BHA/SA in the past, but am open. Any advice?

Yes, I'm aware there is a pinned topic on men's makeup, but it's pretty much impossible to make sense out of that thing. Way too many posts, way too many recommendations for way too many different acne types.

Any recommendations?

I'm agnostic, by the way. Godsend merely as a figure of speech.

In any case, after consistent use of DKR for several months, my acne cleared up almost entirely (occasionally a single pimple, and some nagging, barely visible blackheads, but that's all). After all this time, I decided to conduct a simple experiment; not the most intelligent of experiments, but one I wanted to go through with nonetheless. I was going to go a whole week without my regimen, and see how my skin reacted.

I gave up at 3 days.

Within 2 days, my acne, which has always been mild, flared up with several small pimples. The results were clear - DKR was keeping my skin clear.

Back on the regimen, and within a week the pimples were cleared up. Thank you Dan! biggrin.gif

I just started integrating AHA into my regimen, to seemingly some success (skin looking nicer, more even, and it definitely works as a spot treatment). However, everything I've read says I should expect some stinging... and I've felt none at any point, even after using about twice as much as the thin finger Dan recommends. Should I be worried? Relieved?

Five types of cleanser, four BPs, two SAs, BHA, AHA, differin, clindamycin, three moisturizers, one sunscreen/moisterizer, two toners, jojoba, three masks, two medicated concealers, witch hazel, aloe vera. Talk about some cash down the drain.
