warning: some (very) deprecated information! Hello! Has anybody heard of this type of green tea? I read this article http://www.healthynerd.com/2006/08/13/matc...s-are-the-same/ and only reinforces that Matcha has a very high amount of EGCg... Some quick facts I know of (correct me if I'm wrong) that I think all of us acne patients should know: 1. Androgen - a hormone "group" responsible for developing male characteristics 2. Testosterone - one of the male sex hormones under androgen group 3. DHT - DiHydroTestosterone an "active" androgen from testosterone; too much DHT = excess oil, hair loss 4. Enzyme - proteins that speed up chemical reaction in our body and breaks down chemicals into smaller molecules 5. 5-AR - 5-alpha-reductase enzyme that converts Testosterone to DHT Problem: Excess Oil Production Goal: Reduce Skin Oil Most likely, if you produce too much oil in your skin, regardless of acne presence, then it's probably due to having high levels of DHT. So, let's play and assume that you've gone to an endocrinologist already and found out that your acne/oil production is hormone related. Then most likely one of the things you may find out is a high DHT level. Solution: Lower DHT Levels by stopping the conversion of Testosterone to DHT Testosterone -> 5-AR converts it to -> DHT In comes EGCg from Green Tea. It will stop this process by inhibiting Type 1 5-AR http://72.14.253.104/search?q=cache:81sLC9...;cd=2&gl=us I never took Accutane but I've read a number of people here who have reported of hair thinning so this might help. It works great in decreasing my oil production. Let me know what you think! Thanks!

just wondering if you guys know of any reliable health stores online that are UK-based, something like http://www.iherb.com
If you could suggest one in Australia or New Zealand, that'd be great too. Thanks =^__^=

Hey guys I'm starting to lose my appetite from eating salmon. Lately, I found that dipping fried salmon on soy sauce with wasabi would regain my love for it. The only trade-off I see is the sodium content.

Oh, his technique comes highly recommended. How do you think I am so tall?! Also, tying your arms and legs to a bed and stretching your body that way helps a lot. You should try it tonight. I can come and help if you'd like. ;) 13 Jan 2007 - 22:56 Friends
