Okay, so.. I bought Neutrogena's skin clearing concealer a week ago & used it for the first time yesterday.. it seemed to work really well, but at the end of the day when I took off my make-up I discovered that it had made my skin REALLY dry. I mean.. Bad. Like worse than it's ever been from using BP or anything else. You know.. Big flakes coming off in chunks..

& I didn't even use very much! I just used it on the few pimples that I have right now.

So my question is this: What can I do to fix my skin?

It's never been this dry & nothing seems to be helping.. sad.gif

Just wondering, who all here has used CeraVe products? (Cleanser, lotion, cream, whatever).. & how well do they work?

I'm running low on Dan's cleanser, & I'm thinking about trying something different instead of ordering more (I'm a little worried that Dan's is contributing to my dry skin, but who knows..). I went to the CeraVe website, & their hydrating cleanser is pretty tempting.. But I'd like to have some opinions before I go out & get any.

I'm debating between this & Cetaphil. eusa_think.gif

I'm tired of dealing with acne. Errr. sad.gif

It never seems to get better.. & when it does, I just break out all over again. I've been on the regimen nearly 2 months & I was hoping I would see a lot more improvement.. Or at least not be breaking out every week. Everyone says "you have to figure out what's right for your skin".. But I have NO idea what to do anymore. If I don't use much BP, I break out. If I use too much, I break out because my skin's so dry, & no amount of moisturizer, jojoba oil, or anything will help. I just can't seem to find the perfect balance & it's really getting irritating. eusa_wall.gif

I really don't want to look bad for my best friend's wedding. sad.gif

I'm having a hard time finding a good make-up/moisturizer combo. I'm on my 8th week of Dan's regimen, & I'm still dealing with some dryness (yuck).. So here's my problem:

To start with, my skin was really, really flakey, so when I put make-up on, it just made it look even worse. No amount of Dan's moisturizer & jojoba oil would help, & if I put too much on, my skin would look really oily, & you could still see where the dry patches were.. My face had little lines ALL over it, & you could see the flakes hanging out in my make-up. Not so pretty.

When I first started the regimen, & was really having a problem with this, I was only using Physician's Formula mineral foundation (liquid), & there was nothing I could do to make my skin look half-way decent. It was a mess. It got to the point where I would just skip the moisturizer in the mornings, for the most part, & pile it on extra thick at night, hoping that I wouldn't even need to moisturize the next day. Usually, that wasn't the case.

So now.. I've been on the regimen for a while, & I've started using AHA+ along with the moisturizer. I don't use it TOO often (every other night or morning), but I figured I would try using it under make-up, to see if my skin would still look really oily. New problem! My skin doesn't really look oily, but since the AHA+ is a chemical exfoliant, it well.. Exfoliates.. & as I put on make-up all the dead skin clumps up WITH the make-up.

I'm still using Physician's Formula foundation, but now I'm also using Bare Naturale mineral make-up over it.. I've found that the buffing helps get rid of the clumps of make-up & dead skin.. It looks okay at first, but as the day goes on.. Eh. Not so great. I have to touch it up a lot, & I hate that I'm using so much make-up.

Sorry for the big, long post, but I really need some advice here.. Has anyone had these same problems while on the regimen? Is there something that works better than what I'm doing? I need a good moisturizer that really, really works & gets rid of flakes, but won't make my skin look greasy with make-up.

Does that even exist? eusa_shifty.gif

So.. Of course I'm dealing with some dryness from being on the regimen, & I moisturize constantly, just like I should.. But it doesn't seem like it's enough. I bought some St. Ives scrub (the gentle kind! I've always used it in the past & it doesn't break me out - so no problems there), but it's just not doing the job.. & I did order some AHA.. Just waiting on it to get here.

I've also tried the whole "massaging your face with jojoba oil for a few minutes" to get rid of any dead skin hanging around but.. It didn't really work that well for me, & I think it gave me whiteheads. confused.gif

Anyway.. Anything I can do that really works while I wait for my AHA?
