I just got my order from Dan, but a couple of bottles don't have shrink wrap on them. Did I get used or returned bottles by mistake? I'm not saying that someone did this on purpose. We all make mistakes. I'm just wondering if anyone else had the same experience?

hey i was just curious if anyone else has experienced facial redness after using the aha +, i used it as a spot treatment, and the area around the pimples that i spot treated seem to be red as a result of the aha+, so yea if anyone else could tell me there experience with the aha and whether or not there was like an adjustment period to it kinda like the bp. How long will it take to go away? will my skin get used to the aha? thanks.

Hello Everyone!
I've been using the regimen long enough to start using the 2 full pumps of BP. The only problem I'm having is it seems that my skin has not "soaked" it all up, because I will wait a full 20 or so minutes before putting on my moisturizer, and then whether I put a shirt on or have anything rub on my face, it just cakes up and becomes globby on my face. Any advise on how to be able to still use the full amount of BP without it clumping up and having embarrassing moments. For example, Someone told me I had a buger (spelling???) on my face and it turned out to be the BP clumping up again. It's not dry clumping, it literally feels like the BP is just rubbing off my face in wet clumps!
Thanks for any response!!! I'm desperate!

Hello everyone!
First of all, i gotta say, "Dan is the best, PERIOD".
But i have a big problem with Moisturizers and SPFs. I tried lots of Moisturizers and all make me GLOWY..i wait 10, 20, 30, 60 minuts and...still glowing.
The same problem with SPFs, both water and alcohol based. Some alcohol based makes my skin looks like...plastic o.O its weird.
So i never use them! But its winter now and with the hot shower water and everything else, my skin is really dry and this is causing me more acne

I need a good and WorldWide suggestion, because i am from Brazil and can't find some products mentioned here. (Maybe Dan could be a reseller of other great products one day, or complete the Acne.org familly!

)
Acne.org Moisturizer instantly irritates my skin, makes it red...it disappears after 15 minutes..but i keep glowing. Im very frustrated with that, because i worship Acne.org products, but this is the only that doesn't works for me

So, any suggestions?
And err just a question, every time i try to put anything over the already dried BP, i notice that BP becomes "liquid" again and it leaves some "white things" in my skin. Normal?
Thanks!!

I read the regim treathment and i saw that it needs a lot of things that are very expansive (if we sum every product)
Are you sure that this forum is only for information and not a place where sell this kind of products?

I was planning on using the AHA+ twice a day because I like it so much, and I bought a lot of it, but Dan only uses it twice a day so I didn't know if there was a reason not to use it day and night. I bought two tubes of it, so I have plenty to use.
Can I use the AHA+ twice a day to moisturize?

I have asked questions about this product before, but the reports always seem so conflicting.
Some say it is sticky and takes forever to dry.
Some say it makes them look greasy.
Others say it still balls up and comes off throughout the day or night.
I was going to make my own 10% Lactic Acid topical but stumbled across AHA+ again and started reading reveiws on it. And now am thinking about buying it again.
Can some of you clear this up. Money is tight right now and I cant afford to really blow about $30.00 for this product and not really like it. Wish there were samples.

Hey all,
I placed on 6/26/2009 at 4:33p.m. My purchase includes the Starter Kit, 8 oz. bottles ,6 oz. AHA+ , and 8 oz of Organic Jojoba Oil which brings a grand total of $82.43.
After receiving a confirmation email that my order was shipped out "A package was shipped to you on 06/29/2009 via U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail" i checked the track and confirm of my order. My order stated that it was sent on the 29th and received on the 30th at 3:44 pm through the USPS website. I was home at the time and no product was received.
My order number was 250065.

Before i get flamed for posting this i have sent 2 message to the acne.org support and have not yet received any response about my problem. I am not blaming the website. I think it is the USPS fault and i have already filed a complaint. I am extremely frustrate with this. I paid $82.43 for something i did not received which i feel is completely BS.
Has anyone ever encounter a problem like this. What can i do about this?

I have a question about Dan's AHA. I currently use Neutrogena's AHA Face lotion. I really like the outcome of Neutrogena's AHA on my skin. My marks have faded, and its made my skin much smoother. (I am also currently on the regimen). Here is my question, how is Dan's AHA compared to that of neutrogena(if anyone knows). I mean does, it more or less work the same? I would really like to support this site and Dan, because I love all of the other products, plus Dan's AHA is cheaper. So yeah..if anyone has insite on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

I've searched for it, but couldn't find a clear answer, can AHA+ cause wrinkles? I've been starting to see some lines (even though I'm only 18), could this just be a coincidence or is AHA+ causing it? I'm using it twice a day..

I just started the Regimen today using DK's products & should be getting my order of jojoba oil any day now. I read that it was ok to add the jojoba oil into your regimen right away because of the drying & flaking the BP may cause. So, I was looking to add things nice & slowly. For instance, here is how I will add the BP to my regimen:
Week 1 - 1/2p @ night
Week 2 - 1p @ night
Week 3 - 1/2p @ morning 1p @ night
Week 4 - 1p @ morning 1p @ night
Week 5 - 1p @ morning 2p @ night
Week 6 - 2p @ morning 2p @ night
So my question is, when would it be best to add a few drops of jojoba oil into my regimen? In my moisturizer at night or in my moisturizer in the morning > based on my BP schedule? I would eventually like to add jojoba to both the morning & night.
Thanks

Hi There
With great hope and expectations I bought the AHA+, and i've been using it for lets say 2 and a half weeks now.
I use it as a nightime moisturizer for face and back.
I can honestly say that it has broken me out every time I used it. I use it every other day, so lets say i used it a total 8 times now.
I love the glow it's giving me, but that's useless if I break out at the same time.
If i use it, I will see new active acne the same morning (i've had a lot of acne around the mouth and nose, even small cysts). Wich normally don't have.
I will not say it's crap for everyone, since a lot of people (including Dan) are in love with it, and my back isn't breaking out (but it doesn't seem to help either)
If you use it and it's working, great, but for me every time it's acne time.
Tips are welcome though.
Grtz

I'm trying to exhaust all my options before I pay shipping for one bottle of Dan's Moisturizer. Anybody have suggestions? The Olay and jojoba oil isn't enough to get rid of flakiness. I'm red, flaky and irritated all the time!
I've been on the regimen for about 6 weeks, so I should be used to it by now.
Cetaphil Gentle cleanser
Dan's BP (1 pump- might be too much, making me red?)
Oil of Olay Complete and jojoba oil
Thanks guys!

Hey guys!! I want to start off by saying a BIG THANKS to the acne.org family. You guys have educated me and changed my life. Thanks again.
Right now I am clear

after many weeks of DKR. But I only remain one problem. After I apply moisturizer to my face, it becomes very oily and shines. I have been using both Dan's moisturizer and Cetaphil moisturizer. They control flakiness well, but I cant deal with the shine. Can you guys recommend a moisturizer that may include SPF and does not leave your skin shining. Also, if possible non-comedogenic. You guys can also recommend anti-shine products.
Thank you everyone in advance.

Have a bless day!!

Hey I was wondering if anyone had the same problem as me, and maybe someone out there knows what to do about it.
One night after letting the BP dry on my face, I put on some AHA+ to go to bed with. Having not putting it on in a while it really burned. It wasn't really problem and its not my main concern. The next day after working out in the morning and then taking a shower, I noticed and felt something strange on my face. It appeared as if the AHA came out of my skin and showed in some spots (A little bit above the eyebrows and some to the left and right of the nose). The difference in time between application and shower was around 9-10 hours.
So does anyone know why and how to prevent this?

I'm going to be getting on a plane here in a few weeks and wanted to know if I should lock the push bottle's tops down (how they were when they first arrived) or just leave them popped up for the flight? Anyone experience any issues with the bottles undergoing all the pressure changes while flying? Thanks

Hello. I'm a 20 year old college student. I have been on the regimen for two weeks with the recommended products. I have been using the following:
-Basis Sensitive Soap
-Nuetrogena On-The-Spot
-Oil of Olay moisturizer.
I have cleared up for the most part. I have mild to moderate acne, but mostly the former. For some reason I got this small bump on the left side of my forehead, it almost looks like a cyst, but I've never got one before. I mostly get pimples on jaw line, and forehead.
With the above products my face was seriously dry, and had a lot of flakes. It was hard to move my face, and it felt kinda weird talking to people because I couldn't talk very well.
Today was my first time using Dan's products. I just received it today. The package was intact, and the bottles were a little confusing at first, but I like the design of the bottle.
Dan's Cleanser-- I love this stuff! It lathers nice, and it is the only "shaving cream" that doesn't irritate my skin afterwards. It's not red or anything, even with pimples on my jaw line. When I used the Basis Soap it left my face very dry, not this stuff, it felt good.
Dan's BP---Much better than the NOTS. It's a gel which makes it easier to gently smooth around my face, and get into pores. NOTS dried up way too fast, and it was hard to smear around. It was a little dry after using this stuff, but that is expected.
Dan's Moisturizer, along with jojoba oil--Is fabulous! I love it. Usually, with the Oil of Olay it would not keep my face dry like I wanted, and did nothing for flakes. With this combination my face doesn't feel like my face is dried out at all. Flakes are gone!
I used two drops of jojoba oil, is that sufficient?
I'm so excited that I ordered this product. I think I might buy AHA very soon, I heard some great things about it.

So...I've started using it as of Thursday on my hubby's upper arms, my upper arms, and my jaw line and under my chin just to see how our skin reacts to it.
So far, my arms are baby butt smooth, it's been 4 days of application.
My husband has a condition on his upper arms (that usually goes away when he's been massively exercising and sweating for a long period of time), but it's these tiny tan colored bumps that are very persistent. I applied the AHA+ to only one arm to moniter the difference. I'll post some pics in upcoming days. His arm where the AHA+ was applied is noticeably smoother and the coloring of the bumps is a lot lighter only after 4 days of treatment, so he's excited to see more progress.
Now for my concerns...
I do a lot of my research on a site called MakeupAlley, and the AHA+ got some very good reviews (92% average - which is GREAT on this site).
HOWEVER - I came across a post from a member that says:
"I was researching some other chemicals that were in the AHA+, and I discovered the Buteleyne Glycol in it produced formaldehyde slowly when absorbed through the skin, nono!
So, sadly the Acne.org Regimen did not work for me and even the AHA+ didn't, but hopefully it does for You !"
...Mods, is this true? I don't know much about formaldehyde, but it doesn't sound very good!
Anyways, for anybody who has used the AHA+, or is currently using it, what have your experiences been with the product? I've literally read every review on acne.org & MUA, so anybody who hasn't already shared their experiences is much appreciated

.

So ive been on AHA+ for almost 4 weeks now and I have mixed opinions. Each week ive tried using it for about 3 consecutive days as a moisturizer and the rest mostly as a spot treatment. During a week my skin would gradually turn to crap because using it for those three times takes my face a week to exfoliate. Ive also noticed the white bumps on my face since i started using AHA+. I dont exactly know the proccess of purging but I still have them on my face mostly around my cheeks and chin line area. today i woke up with quite a bit of whiteheads which i tried to resist from popping them xD. i am also currently on Dans cleanser, moisturizer and jojoba oil. i never using the jojoba oil during the day because it makes my face look greasy. i really want to try and stick to this regimen until the products run out and hopefully see a difference but i have been temped to try the olay products along with their line of moisturizers. i really dont know what to do can someone help.

Ok, I know it says not to use them "at the same time" but does this mean literally on top of one another, or can I use the hydroquinone in the morning and the BP at night, separately?
alternatively, do you think dan's AHA would do the same as the hydroquinone? I'm just trying to fade 2 dark spots, they aren't really red, they're darker than that, sort of purplish. I know people say it works on red spots but I haven't heard anything about this.

Okay, I have used the Cleanser, BP, moisterizer .....
I've ordered my second batch of the ^above....and also added AHA.
I heard I'm suppose to use AHA as a "body treatment"?
Can i use AHA for the face?
Why don't i use BP for the body? Before i found acne.org, my doctor told me to use BP for my body acne.
I don' have SEVERE acne. I have light acne.
thanks

First of all, I'm not sure where I suppose to post this thread to, and I know the best is to email DK, which I had just sent out immediately right after I received my products.
This is my 1st time order DK's products... and I can't wait to receive them. After about 1+ week of waiting, today (18th June 2009, GMT +8) I finally received it.
When I first saw the parcel.... it was like
Here's the photos of my products.... I'm so sad and unpleasant right now as I have paid so much, but eventually I got these.
Anyone had the same situation as me ? Mind to share ? Any piece of advise for me what to do next ?
Thanks, any suggestion/feedback is very much appreciated.

So i've been using this product for almost a week now only in the night time after applying BP. When I started I had like 4 dark spots from very recent hormonal zits

I left them alone to heal by themselves and they left those hyperpigmentation marks. they will fade it just takes forever. I've been applying the AHA+ on them and all over as a moisturizer at night although I dab a bit more on the spots...and I can really see them fading. Before, even after I put on my pressed powder, the spots are still somewhat noticeable. But now after I put the powder on, they totally disappear unless you look SUPER closely and stare at me to look for them

....so I do look flawless at first glance (ha ha)

I don't even need tinted moisturizer anymore for extra coverage during the daytime prior to applying the pressed powder.
I also see my melasma (dark patches on the side of my skin side effect from birth control pills), fading ever so slowly. Slowly, but I still see a difference!!!
Overall my skin tone is better too. My face looks brighter and not blotchy. I used to be red in some patches and then ok in others which tends to happen when my allergies are acting up. While I accept that I will never be Neutrogena girl-flawless (i have tiny old acne scar/indentations from when I was picking at my breakouts before i knew better), having the best skin I can ever have is enough and at least even if i dont apply any pressed powder, i still look pretty smooth and even. This gives me hope that I will never be a slave to any coverups like tinted moisturizer.
And the added bonus for me is that the AHA really works on stopping the impending breakouts on its tracks, when applied on top of BP overnight. I would have had 2-3 new zits by now that have shrunk significantly before they had a chance to erupt.
Anyone else had success with AHA?

So It's only been two days since I started Using the Acne.Org Regimen and I have been diligently following it. I'm still getting down the technique of gently working the product on my skin, which to me means going slow until it's dry for the most part. So after I put on the bp and wait wait for it to dry completely like 5 or 7 minutes i work in one pump of dans moisturizer because its soothing and i dont want flakes. Now, Im working in the moisturizer in slowly just like i would the bp so i dont irritate my skin. Am'i doing something wrong, because when Im done, my skin feels so sticky. Like literally i stuck paper on my skin and it stayed.
HELP, what should I do?

Hi, Dan apparently has changed his BP formula to include Butylene glycol, an ingredients which causes cystic acne for some. I started using Dan's BP and sure enough developed cysts when I never get cysts. I had used other 2.5% benzoyl peroxide creams with no problems before. If you want more information check out www.makupalley.com and type in "butylene glycol" in the search box and a whole bunch of posts will come up.

Im considering buying AHA since it seems to be what everyone on here uses and Im confident that it'll help me more then proactive would....but I still have a few questions about it and some other randoms...
1.) So does the AHA work on chest/back/face ance?
2.) I have very oily skin, and Im pretty active, but I read on here to not wash your face more than twice a day, so what should I do about it?
3.) Is there any other products that I should look into to help with my acne, or that go good with AHA?
.) What is your schedule as far as face care goes, and what other products do you use? ....I took this one of someones profile for example and this is what they do and use..
AM:
wash with Desert Essence Facial Cleanser with Tea Tree Oil
moisturize with Aveeno Ultra Calming SPF 15 moisturizer
Benefit Hello Flawless SPF 15 pressed powder
PM:
wash with Desert Essence Facial Cleanser with Tea Tree Oil
apply 4-5 drops of Jason pure organic Jojoba Oil
apply thin layer of CVS generic brand BP
apply Dan's AHA+ as nighttime moisturizer (as of 6/19/09)
Thanks for any help its greatly appreciated!
