I just got my order from Dan, but a couple of bottles don't have shrink wrap on them. Did I get used or returned bottles by mistake? I'm not saying that someone did this on purpose. We all make mistakes. I'm just wondering if anyone else had the same experience?

So what's the verdict? Dan, are you going to sell your salicylic acid in *alpha* mode now, or shut down production? Should I buy 200 bottles now if I want access to them in the future!?!
If you decide not to continue, could you recommend a brand?
Thanks!

It's most likely not me, but I'm approaching a year that I've been on the products come December. I am only dealing with hyperpigmentation more or less, and even that is slowly, but surely going away.
So...are there people here that have used the regimen for years and years?

I have struggled with adult acne for over 12 years and have used BP on and off during that time with relative success. I can happily vouch for the success of the acne.org regimen and the DKR products in particular. While I used Dan's old version of the BP gel in the past, I just started the full current regimen of products in the last 5 weeks. It's worked wonders from the start, but I did have a hiccup along the way. . . .
The biggest drag about BP is the bleaching of clothing, sheets etc. For this reason, I have been using it only once per day - in the morning after I have dressed. After having been on the regimen for over 3 weeks, I had to spend a night away. The sheets of the hotel room were white, so I tried using the BP at night for the first time. Additionally, because I was traveling and do not have the cleanser and moisturizer in the travel size, I used a different cleanser and moisturizer that night and the next morning. By mid-morning I was itchy and by the time I arrived home that evening, it was apparent that I was having an allergic reaction.
I ceased use of the BP, but was still quite affected the following day - very itchy & red. After much research, I finally gave in and used hydrocortisone. This worked and I had to continue for about 36 hours. Once the initial itching and redness subsided (about 4 days later) I was then left with lots of small white pimples on the hardest hit areas and a day later incredible peeling began and continued for another day or two.
All of this was consistent with what I read about allergic reactions to BP, and I was nervous about continuing. I will say that the AHA was a life saver. I started using it at the point that the peeling began - desperate to get my skin calmed down. I think it helped, but it was clear that it wasn't as effective for acne as the BP. So two days ago I went back to the BP regimen. My skin has cleared right up and I am having no adverse reactions.
I guess the bottom line is that the DKR products are great - top quality, effective and obviously well-suited to go together. I know there are others who have found another combination of cleanser, BP and moisturizer that work for them. My caution is experimenting to find the right mix - it could be painful and lead you to believe the regimen won't work, when the problem is the combo of products. I'm sticking with what works!!

So iam pretty close to being on this regimen for 4 weeks. My skin cleared up a lot. It was clear for a couple of days, and then i think due to intense stress with school i ended up with a pimple on left cheek (almost gone), one big white head on right cheek, a small on my chin, and a pimple by my brow (just got it waxed on tues).
And well so far iam, but iam peeling a lot, my skin is super sensitive, and i think with the bp and the weird weather that my skin is getting more dry. Well, i apply more mosturizer both during day and nite and during the day, i can still see flakes near nose, and worst by my hairline, it is to the point i want to scrap my skin off, and it really itches. At night when i apply more mosturizer i wake up with super oily skin and it looks like i have no flakes.
Problem is, should i keep applying more mosturizer, get jojoba oil although im really scared to get it bc i bought desert essence along time ago and i ended up getting whiteheads ( i probably wasnt using it right before).
I ask this bc i really want a solution because i will be going to vegas next wed. and i don't want to have flaky skin, and i want to be able to wear a little bit more makeup then i have. And i want opions if it will really help, or do you think i may have a problem with a breakout, or should i just wait till after the trip to get the jojoba oil and if i wait i will probably get dan's.

So I've been on Dan's regimen for about 2 months now, and I've added the AHA into it a week and a half ago. I've been using a thin fingers length of it every morning and evening after I apply the BP, replacing the moisturizer. After reading many threads about AHA I heard that this amount may be excessive, as some people use it every second day. Should I go back to using the original moisturizer that Dan uses, and how often?
~ I'm using the AHA in an attempt to remove the red marks from my face. A week and a half, no results of fading red marks... should I wait longer?

Hi there, I recently purchased the Regimen package, and it arrived a few days ago.
I watched the videos on how to apply, and use. I have been using it since I got it.
It has cleared up some pimples, however I am experiencing a LOT of redness all over my face, and I find that the moisturizer, and treatment sting quite harshly.
Prior to the regimen, I was using a cleanser, Benzacymin, and a Clean & Clear face moisturizer, and experienced no redness.
I realized that this, is bad, and I was wondering, if it is normal? Or if I should stop?
My father noticed this, and I see it now, my whole face is starting to look red, and very tender.
I have only a few days until school, and I was hoping this could clear up my face without problems like this,
I'm 14, with moderate acne.
Please help

I seem to remember a few discussions on here over whether or not to take the word "acne" off of the products. There was some debate back and forth, but personally I don't see why anyone would be adamant about the word acne staying on the bottle.
I usually leave all of the products laying around in the bathroom. I think the idea behind this is that it would hopefully work so well that nobody would know you have an acne problem. I don't see the need to broadcast it to everyone who comes into my house.
Edit: Poll added.

Long story short, Im very happy with where my acne is. I currently have no active pimples *knock on wood. I jus have a few red marks and scarring on my cheeks and jus a couple marks right under my left cheek left over from my most recently pimple. I jus bought Dan AHA and am a lil worried it may break me out so im not sure im gonna use it once I receive it in the mail. The main reason of buying it is to make all my red marks go away and jus in general help my skin more even out or tone, especially in my cheeks. So im kinda at a lost right now, I would like to use Dan AHA but I fear I may break out from it especially since its gonna be the first time. Any suggestion or ideas? P.S ive been on Dan Regime for a lil over a year, jus not using his products for now and its been GREAT!!

Thanks guys/gals...Also got 1 more question.. didn't think it was that big of a deal so Ill add it in here.. the only time I use moisturize was when I first started using BP. Ive stop using moisturize a lil awhile ago and i never have a problem with flakiness or drying. I think my skin jus reacts really well to BP but should i still try to use moisturize or I don't need too? or is it really necessary?

Dan's AHA seems to make my face look shiny so how does everybody use it in the day time? Also, if want to apply moisturizer or sunscreen afterwards, it makes the AHA rub off.

Ok 2 months ago, I ordered the 3 part regiment kit. One cleanser, a bottle of bp, and a moisturizer. Well this morning I ran out of cleaner so I went to the shipping box to get another bottle of cleanser and it turned out i was given two moisturizers. I usually don't check to see if I've gotten everything i ordered b/c i never had this happen before. What can I do to get my cleanser?

Hi ive been on the regimen for about 7 weeks and Im still getting horrible flaky skin, Ive read somewhere that you can use aha to get rid of it quicker, but other people have said that it gave them even more flaky skin.
Im goin to try it tonight but I want to know how I sh0uld use it:
I cleanse then add BP then moisturize, should I just replace the moisturizer with aha or should I skip the BP and just use the aha after cleansing?
Any advice will be appreciated.

Hello, I recently purchased Dan's main 3 products along with AHA and Jojoba oil by impulse.
However, even if I decide to not use them I have a family member who would like them, so they won't be returned/wasted either way.
I finished my accutane period about 5 months ago, and I no longer get any cysts. However, I still get a few pimples here and there. Since I started getting little acne again, I have been using Proactiv. It has been doing pretty good, and I think my current acne situation is quite acceptable. The only thing is, I want to completely clear the little acne left, but more importantly, get GOOD and healthy looking skin (which I don't really have now).
My skin currently looks a little red and weird textured (not smooth).
After reading some of the regimine threads and FAQs I noticed that there is a chance of breakouts and etc.
My question is, should I even risk my current state (which is acceptable) with the regimen? Since I have been using proactiv for two months; will my side effects be less mild in the beginning than most people's?
Will the AHA+ and jojoba oil vastly help with black heads and improving skin health over time?
Thanks a lot!

And am convinced it is superior to Panoxyl.
No redness, VERY easy to spread around your face (feels thinner)
Hopefully my face doesn't look like a Tomato which I quite often get using Panoxyl.

I've been using the face wash, treatment and moisturizer on my face for about 3 weeks and I think its burned my face

My face is really rough to the touch(like leather) and red(kinda like a sunburn) I've also noticed a dry ring around my lips ::UGH:: Has anyone else had this problem? I also use the wash and AHA+ on my back and it has completely cleared up my bacne so I dont think its an allergic reaction to the products, but maybe Im using it too often, too much, Does it go away or should I quit using acne.com products? Any suggestions would be great!
P.S. On the + side my acne on my face has completely cleared up

Hi,
My 14 year old son has been suffering from pretty bad acne now for 1-2 years now. It has been getting worse all the time. I feel awful for him, as I never had an acne problem, and have been worried that his fair beautiful complexion will be scarred forever. I have purchased (and he has used) with NO success: ProActive, DHC acne skin care line, homeopathic Acne Gel, Philosophy acne skin care line, Alpha Hydroxy Acne Skin care line. He feels awful and says 'mom nothing is working !!' I don't know what to do, and am searching the internet to find something that could help him. Of course I don't want him to take any drugs that would be harmful (I read that Accutane was taken off the market, and I wouldn't want to start him on something that could be internally harmful), but need to find a solution for him.
In my searching tonight, I came across something on amazon that was being sold called, "University Medical Acne Free Severe Acne Treatment System' sold for $ 23.19. My question is, have any of you tried it ? It seems to have 10% benzoyl peroxide - and my concern is, would this create a lot of irritation ? My son seems to have sensitive skin, yet extremely oily. When he uses a product (like the one he is still finishing up, the alpha hydroxy which is NOT working) it seems to make his acne areas even more red and irritated looking. Not sure what any of you suggest ? I am at the end of my rope here - have spent a ton of money on this stuff, and wouldn't mind if I could actually FIND something that works !!!! Please any advice you could offer I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thank you so much for your prompt reply.

I will admit I was skeptical. I had tried various products/systems and medications, with no success.
I am 2 weeks in to the standard regimen. I followed the directions and watched the videos, and took the customized quiz, telling me to not take long showers and to shave everyday. I also am taking fish oil and zinc as well as a multivitamin and B complex vitamins daily. I am proud to report that even after 48 hours there were no new pimples. My other blemishes are healing up nicely. In another week, after everything heals, it will be like a miracle that was beamed down from heaven! I have suffered from persistent acne for almost 15 years, although never severe, always there. 6-10 bad zits and blackheads on my face and neck. When one healed it seemed like 2 sprouted up. Nothing has worked until now. This is the best gift ever. I am about to graduate college in 5 weeks and I am interviewing for jobs. I can now walk in with my head held up high and more confidence in my stride.
I hope it can keep going in the right direction.
Thanks Dan!

Hey all,
in all honesty could anyone tell me - is there much of a difference between the two?- quality/effectiveness wise that is...
Id always favour dans products usually, but with living in the Uk its expensive having things shipped over. I could buy the jojoba along with some more bp to get the most out of the order, but theres a customs limit- meaning i could be charged even MORE for making a larger order- (if you sort of follow...)
anyway, irrelevent sidetracks aside, the desert essence stuff is sold here in the uk...for about 6 pound, whilst dan's would cost me close to 20 if i had it shipped accross. Dont mind paying the extra i guess if theres reason too- but need your help to decide!
cheers,
Tom.

I'm new to this board and have been using Dan's routine for a week and it's been fantastic. The only problem I had was the moisturizer. I was using the Olay moisturizer and noticed I had small rashes on my face so I decided on a new product. I went with Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti Wrinkle and it's been friggen awesome.
For people that want an alternative moisterizer I suggest try out the said product =)
