Here's the skinny... I am 24 years old, from Hawaii, but have lived in HOT Texas for the past 6 years. I have always had acne, but it didn't get really bad until moving to Texas. While in high school I had the occasional break out, but now it's almost a weekly thing. I have tried it all; Acne statin, proactiv, differin, and minotricyclin, all to no avail. Proactiv seemed to be working, but never cleared completely, and then it stopped working completely. AHHHH!
So I started the DKR 6 days ago. Experiencing dryness, but bought jojoba oil to combat that. My face is breaking out more than usual. I am using cetaphil wash, DKR BP, netrogena oil free moisturizer and aha. I know I shouldn't be using this yet, but I can't help it... I'm guilty as charged. I don't think that it will hinder my progress but if it will, please someone let me know!
So I tried the jojoba oil tonight and I was shocked. There were little skin balls all over my face. It was gross. This flaky skin is crazy.
Anyway, hope it all gets better.

Hello all,
Ok first....little bit about me i'm 20 years old. I first started getting spots in my early teens around 14ish, I had them for a few years, but they were never severe. My skin pretty much cleared by the time I was 17 and by 18 my skin was almost perfect, but then 6 months down then line I got my first spot in ages. At first I wasn't really worried but then I got another spot and then another, and within a month I had roughly 15 spots on each cheek!!! I think my acne is stress related. That major breakout was in Jan/ Feb 08. My face hasn't been clear since that date

I've tried quite a few things I bought expensive skin care products Liz Earle which made my skin ten times worse. I then tried Lancome which didn't help. After 6 months of wasting shitloads on skincare products I went to see my doctor. He first prescribed be a roll on type thing for my face (can't remember what it was called) and antibiotics. I used them for about 6 months no difference. I then went on Dianette briefly......very briefly I was only on it for two weeks, but I cried about 30 times within two weeks!! and i'm in full time employment I couldn't risk bursting in to tears at my desk so I stopped taking it. In Feb this year I finally got referred to a dermatologist. She was totally unhelpful she thought I was being dramatic and didn't take me seriously. I told her I wanted to go on accutane but she said no way. She but me on minocyclin and Duac and gave me a BP wash. The BP was was to harsh for my skin, Duac made my skin unbelievably dry couldn't even cover it with make up properly. Anyway six months down the line i'm still using minocyclin but last week my doctor gave me Retin A which is making my skin just as dry as Duac did.
Anyway enough with my life story...I ordered my starter kit on Tuesday and got it today which I am very happy about since I live in England. What i'm not happy about is when it got delivered I had to pay £20 VAT charges!!! Anyway I'd already washed my face so I haven't tried the cleanser yet, but I did use the moisturizer and BP....will keep this updated and post some pictures in a bit.

Well I am maknig this log because I am really depressed for the first time in like 2 years. My Acne is very very small everywhere except for my chin. I have never had acne this bad on my chin and I am really sick of it =[
So my regimen:
Wash Face with Cetaphil face wash: Morning + Night.
Cold Showers in the Morning.
Bp on chin morning and night.
Moisturizer after BP.
I purchased AHA+ but since my chin is so bad I feel BP heals faster. Once my chin heals up a little I will use Aha+
Day 1. 10/20/2009
Feeling the most depressed ever, I have the most acne on my chin ever and a huge!! thing!! Not sure what it is yet!!!

So let me start by introducing myself, since I didn't open a thread in the "Introduce Yourself" forum (shame on me!). I am a 25 year old male student from the Netherlands, and am currently doing an internship. I have had acne since I was 13. My acne changes a lot but I think it is moderate at the moment. I have tried loads of products like almost everyone here. My recent epic failure was proactiv. All it really did was make my acne worse. I'm still glad I have tried it because I would have always wondered if it was any good for me otherwise. Then I found acne.org, which leads me to the start of my log:
After some research I ordered two big bottles of Dan's BP and a tube of AHA. Because of the high shipping & tax price ($100 ouch!) I had to pay, I am not going to order the cleanser and moisturizer yet. A friend of mine is going to the US next month and I will force him to take an extra suitcase for my acne.org needs! (muhaha) Until that time I am using:
Clinique Liquid Face Wash as a cleanser.
Biotherm Homme T-Pur Intense SOS Corrective Moisturizing Concentrate (who comes up with these names?) as a moisturizer.
After getting some weird looks in a bunch of drugstores I actually found a store that sells organic Jojoba oil. While I was shopping I went and got the cheapest pillow covers I could find (well that's a lie, but pink just isn't my color), since I have a cat that thinks it's ok to sit and clean it's grubby little paws all over my bed! (I'd do the same in his basket if he would actually use the flippin thing... money well spent there..)
So anyway I started on Friday evening to make sure I didn't have to go out looking like a microwaved tomato if anything went wrong. I think I used a bit too much BP, but it was really hard to get my entire face covered with a small amount. All went well but I did (and still am) experiencing the red- and dryness that others mention to. After forgetting to brush my teeth before washing my face a few times, I finally got it right two days ago (brushing your teeth without the foam coming from your mouth is quite an accomplishment!). I just hope I can remember to keep doing things in the right order when I have just woken up. Printing out Dan's checklist might be a good idea.
I am now on day 5 and the redness is still very visible, and because I try to avoid my eyes with the BP it looks like I've been wearing snowgoggles. I haven't gotten any comments about it yet, but that's probably because I have a 24 inch monitor to hide behind at work! Shaving irritates my skin sometimes, so I tried adding some jojoba oil to my moisturizer, which really worked well. It did however make my skin very shiny, so I will only be adding it in the evening. After bleaching another towel that was given to me as a present (oops) I decided to buy some cheap (non-pink) ones.
I will try and update this thread when I have something interesting to write, in the mean time feel free to ask me questions, make witty comments, say hi, ridicule my spelling/grammar, or realize that you have just wasted precious minutes of your life reading about mine and find a better thread!
What ever you chose to do:
thanks for reading

Heres to hoping to get rid of all my acne and get clear and smooth skin. Never had serious acne problems but always had a few breakouts and every now and then little bumps everwhere. So I decided to take action about a month ago.
Before I found this site, about a month, ive been using cetaphil gentle cleanser and neutrogena oil free combinaison skin moisturizer and seemed like it dint work. Fastword 2weeks and I added 5% BP to the those 2 products and followed the regime methods but it really dint work and my skin got worse. I ordered dans products and stopped using the BP for the past 4 days.
So finally dans products arrived and I offically started the regime today.
My skin by fat is in the worse condition its ever been and he are pics BEFORE I started applyin dans products. (made sure to take every side possible and will continue to update)

It's hit the 5 year mark with acne. I'm 19. All up to about 1 year ago the acne progressed from light to severe. And with this acquired regimen that I've been on for close to a year now I've find solace. Normally the components of my regimen were Clearasil, Clearasil, and Clearasil. I've been on the Neutrogena Acne Wash bar for months and months now. Morning and night. Followed by the cleanser was Neutrogena's 2.5% BP cream. What a waste. 7 dollars for a .75oz tube of it. I would go through two of them every week. Thanks to Dan's BP gel I have been saved from spending money that I don't have.
Regimen as of now:
Morning
- Neutrogena face wash bar (a superior rinse and fresh feeling)
- "Generous" amount of Dan's BP treatment
Night
- Neutrogena face wash bar
- "Generous" amount of Dan's BP treatment
_____________________________________________________
Along with the topical solutions I have been on a vitamin regimen for a pretty long time, too.
Morning
- 300mg Fish Oil
- 315mg Green Tea Extract
- 50mg Zinc
Night
- 300mg Fish Oil
- 315mg Green Tea Extract
All the while I drink about 50oz or more water a day. As soon as possible though I plan on purchasing a water purification system so I can consume cleaner, fresher water throughout the day. Even if it doesn't effect my skin I'll have reassurance knowing my body is receiving cleaner water.

So my mom just gave me the ok to order my first kit of the DKR and I did just a few minutes ago.
I'm hoping for good results but at the same time I'm going to try to not expect too much!
Okay, I'll start off with a little info about me.
I'm 17 years old and I'm going to be a senior this year!(Yay! and Yikes!)
I've had acne since the 6th grade so that means I've had a pizza face for about six years now.
From the time I started breaking out to now I feel like I've tried just about everything that anyones suggested; perscription, otc, special orders, even seaweed facials! And obviously none of them have worked so now I'm here, ready to take the leap after stalking this website for forever!
My goal is to have clear skin by the time I move away to a university! It's my one chance for a fresh start and I'd really, REALLY love to go in confident and ready to show people my personallity and not some killer zits I've gathered from high school.
So wish me luck! I have a feeling that I'll need it!

Hey everyone, I just ordered Dan's Starter kit a few minutes ago. I haven't even received my items yet(obviously lulz) but I'm excited already heh.
So I figured I'd make my regimen log info and such before I get lazy.
About me:
I'm a 16 year old Asian kid who's been suffering from Acne since the beginning of 7th grade. I'm
not very depressed/saddened by the acne but it really is embarrassing ;s.
7th Grade:
Acne wasn't bad, every two months I received a new big pimple, that'd go away in a week.
8th Grade:
Started getting acne on my forehead and under my eyes, still receiving pimples every 2 months.
Summer of 8th grade:
Tried proactiv, nothing, literally nothing happened

9th Grade:
Everything got worse D=! I started receiving new pimples(note how I said pimples not pimple) every week or 2 weeks. Also whiteheads started appearing more often.
Summer of 9th grade:
Tried proactiv AGAIN, first 2 weeks was good, however after that was a nightmare. I started receiving 5 pimples a week and received a big cyst on TOP OF MY NOSE that lasted 3 weeks! Embarrassing much?
So far in 10th grade:
Acne is worse than ever, receiving more nodules/cysts and a lot of whiteheads. Forehead acne is pretty much gone though, but receiving acne on the sides of my head(like where the temples are). Acne under left eye is pretty much just marks. but acne under right eye is an on and off thing. Receiving a lot more pimples on my nose

Note:
I will try my best to take a picture of my self every day but between homework and work, I might not find enough time/be lazy LOL! However, I will be sure to take a picture every week ;] Well atleast I hope ;s!
Most of my pictures will be from my phone because it is annoying to upload it from my sister's digital camera because I have to like flip it, crop it, resize, and such. However, the first original picture of me, a picture every 2 weeks, and the last picture(which is a long time from now haha) will be taken with good quality

(well the best quality the digital camera can make lool).
Current pictures of me:
Click them to make 'em bigger

[attachment=14075:around_the_eyes.JPG]
[attachment=14076:chin_area.JPG]
[attachment=14077:lawlzface.JPG]
Another note:
I'm really wear glasses, but for the sake of the first picture I took 'em off ;9

Good Morning! I should be working, but for some reaason felt compelled to get out my thoughts on my skin and acne in general. I'm getting married exactly one month from today (yay!) so clear skin has been even more on my agenda. I have struggled with mild to very moderate acne since the age of 11....I am now 27 and this just seems unfair and ridoggonediculous! I have used it all:
Clearasil, Neutrogena, DDF, Philosophy, PTR, Retin-A, Tretinoin, Doryx, Duac, Blue light Therapy, Proactiv, BC pills (ortho tri cyclen), Decleor, Dermalogica, facials, photofacial, Clarisonic and even more! (I used to work at Sephora, lol). I always put my hopes into some 'miralce' product that ends up falling flat. I'm discovering that dealing with acne is not a fun thing or a quick fix. I think it comes down to doing multiple small things that slowly make change. Here's what I'm doing now...with one month until my wedding, all I can do is relax and pray

.
1.
Acupuncture - This is covered by my insurance so I thought why not give it a shot. I have my 7th session today. I'm not sure if this have done anything much yet. It is very relaxing and does help keep my stress levels down. She's focusing on balancing my hormones, so hopefully my 'time of the month' breakouts will be lessened. Also, the acupuncturist explained that 'heat' in the body contributes to acne. Avoiding 'hot' foods is supposed to help. Some of the big ones I have been avoinding: Shellfish, spicy foods, and sugars (working on the sugar...I have a sweet tooth!)
2.
Food Allergy - I had a food allergy test done. All foods came back negative. I still try and limit my intake of dairy.
3.
Lemon Juice - I juice one lemon in the morning and one at night. Swig it down.
4.
Perricone Clear Skin Vitamin Pack - Pricey, but you get 7 vitamins made specifically to help skin. I also add one tablet of zinc food complex because I feel like the Perricone don't provide enough zinc. The zinc food complex is easy on the tum-tum.
5.
Duac - This really is a good topical. I am trying to be careful not too use too much or too often, because it can be quite drying. It's a gel that is a mix of 5%bp and 1%clindamycin
6.
Not Picking - Started this today. I am horrible with this and strongly believe this is contributing to my skin problems. It was hard to resist the urge this morning...but I must admit my face looks better already.
7.
Clean Make-up - I only use Prescriptives mineral make-up. This is the HG of mineral makeup. I have tried almost all of them. This goes on the most natural, has staying power and actually helps improve skin. Way Way Way better than bare minerals.
8.
Other Skincare - I cleanse twice per day with SFC lotion. It comes w/the Duac and is similar to Cetaphil. I use Cetiphil lotion and a toner that is from an all natural organic line called Eminence. It's composed mainly of lemon/lime juice and lavendar.
Reading through that list exhausts me. My stuggle with acne is at times crushing. I am usually a positive, happy gal, and acne is the one thing that can get me down and ruin my whole day. I'm determined not to let it get me down. My skin can no longer be the enemy....I must try and befriend it. I know that a lot of my skin problems are in my head and that many people have it much worse, but for me it's very emotional.
Here's to the power of positive thinking, relaxing, and treating it on the outside as well as on the inside. Fingers crossed and prayers said

. Have a wonderful day, you are not alone and you are beautiful.
*If you have any questions about any products or things I've tried, just let me know. I'd be happy to share my experiences.

so, i've been around the board awhile, and this is my second attempt at the dkr. the first time around, it worked, but my skin's pretty dry and sensitive, and it was constantly red, itchy, and flakey, to the point that i was always in pain, and just couldn't tolerate it anymore.
i decided to quit the regimen all together and just try and take care of my skin. for the most part, this actually worked. my skin cleared up tremendously, but it still wasn't 100% clear.
about two weeks ago, i decided to give the dkr another go, this time only at night. so, here i am, two weeks later. my acne was mild to begin with, with just a few pustules (i hate that these are the type of zits i get.....) around my chin and jawline. as of right now, the pustules i had are gone, but i've gotten a couple papules and whiteheads around my mouth/chin, and in between my eyebrows. another couple small papules showed up on my forehead. nothing major, mind you, but i don't typically break out there. everything now is pretty miniscule, and i'm hoping i can stick with it this time around!
here's the routine:
morning
-mac cremewash
-mac studio moisture cream
-mac strobe cream
night
-mac cleanse off oil
-mac cremewash
-neutrogena on the spot (waiting for dan's bp to come)
-cetaphil lotion
oh, and some things i learned from my first go around, and from quitting the regimen..... the best thing you can do is figure out what kind of skin before you start and use products designed for the type of skin you have. remember that dry skin can have acne too, and in fact, if you're acne-prone, your dry skin can actually aggrivate it.

Today I started the DKR! YAY! I wasn't even thinking about starting the regimen until I talked to a few peeps here...so I guess I just had the impulse to do it tonight

Thursday's kinda a random day to start, huh? I shoulda started on the weekend, but what the hey.
So yea, I'm 13 years old. I'm in 8th grade and i'll be a freshman next year. (Class of 0'10!) I've had acne since I was about 9 years old in 3rd grade. It was hard because I was the only one in my class who had acne...and 3rd graders judge you, a lot! So the taunting isn't as bad because peeps in my class have pimples too, but it isn't as bad for them as it's bad for me.
{my skin}Combination; quite dry on the cheeks, oily in the t-zone and the skin below the eyes. Mild acne; mostly consists of whiteheads on the forehead, cheeks, chin, temples, in between the eyes, around the mouth, 'cupid's bow' area. Few papules and pustules; no more than 3-5 at any given time.
{what i used}Dove Sensitive Skin Unscented Bar
Neutrogena's On-the-Spot 2.5% BP
Glycerin and water in spray bottle (night)
I know that this is something different from DKR's recommend products (or maybe it isn't), but...it's what I have laying around my vanity that's ok w/ my skin. My derm recommended the Dove soap. It's not breaking me out at all and it's not too drying. The glycerin+water mix is great for me because I don't have to do trial-and-error tests with all the moisturizers on the market. It's not really worth spending your money on things that may not work..and with the glycerin and water mix, I can control how much moisture I need by simply adjusting the water:glycerin ration. And if things start to go on the flaky side, I can just purchase some Jojoba oil.
Oh, and for the mornings, I'm just gunna spray the glycerin+water and just apply an Aveeno sunscreen for the face, which does not break me out. Is it alright if I do this? If not, I'll just buy the travel sized moisturizer that's being sold in the online store.
So it's all good, except for the BP...kinda worried about that. It's something I purchased a while back and I'm not so sure it's gonna react well with my skin. But, I have to wait and see as time progresses.
{how i used em' and what's the result}I washed my face w/ soap in the shower. Blotted, yadayadayada, changed clothes yadayadayada. Waited 15 mins, applied BP GENTLY. Waited about 5 mins, sprayed glycerin+water on face. Fresshhhh, niccceee.
After I applied the BP, there was a sort of tingly/ irritated feeling I got. I'm sure that's normal. A little redness appeared on the cheeks and forehead. I guess that's normal too.
{notes}Uhm, I decided that I'll be updating every 3 days. SO....next update will be Monday? yea. Ok, well that's it! Wish me luck!
9/25 edit: I will be updating every Sunday, Tuesday with a weekly update on Thursday*{Nina}*

Ok so it was a few months back when I discovered this site. Basically I was just sick of breakouts and I guess I was looking for a miracle and I really didn't expect to find one!!
Well I have suffered from acne since I was 13 and now I am 19. It really wasn't shifting at all and even when the spots cleared, I was left with red marks that didn't fade. And then I'd wake up with a huge breakout over my face.
Seriously, the amount of products I have tried and I just can't belive they are sold to treat acne when it really has no effect.
So anyways, what I have been doing over the past few months is this;
In the morning I wash my face using Clerasil Deep Pore Cleansing Wash. Then I moisturise using Olay Complete SPF15.
Then at night before bed, I wash my face with the Clerasil, wait for it to dry, then pack on Acnegel (benzoyl peroxide 5%), simply because they don't sell it in 2.5%

The first few times I used it, it did sting. Also, make sure to take off your top first as I have ruined lots of nice t-shirts by getting the peroxide on the neck

The next morning, any spots or red marks are greatly reduced. And over time my skin gets better and better. The only time I get spots now is when I forget to apply the Acnegel before bed. But it really is a miracle and it has improved my life so much!!!
THANK YOU ACNE.ORG

Morning
1. Get up in the morning, clean my face
2. Get sunlight for about 10-15 mins
3. Drink one glass of water after showering
4. Make the environment cool, since my skin loves cool weather
5. Dry face with a fan
6. Then apply sunblock with moisturising agent (I use Clinique City Block SPF 30+ and sometimes, Nivea Sun moisturing facial sunscreen lotion, if my face really dries)
Evening
1. Clean my face with cotton pads. Soak cotton pads with warm water and clean over my face. The final pad is soaked with cold water
2. Then go to shower and clean face with a cleanser (I use Cetaphil for dry sensitive skin cleanser)
3. Dry my face with a fan
4. Tone with Jurilique toner (I use the lavender one)
5. If there are some spots or red marks I use ice cubes on them for about 1-2 minutes.
6. Wait for about 5-10 minutes for my face to dry and start doing the regimen that Dan recommends
7. Apply BP (I use Benzac 2.5%) then wait for it to dry (around 5-10 minutes)
8. Followed by a large amount of moisturiser (since my skin is dry). I use Vaseline Intensive Care – Aloe Vera
9. My face is not greasy when I use this moisturiser and it doesn’t feel itchy or burning like when I used other brands.
10. I normally sleep with a fan on because I notice that my skin improves better in a cool temperature.
Every Sunday’s evening: Exfoliation (I use Biotherm Homme, Detox – the grey bottle one)
Other things: I take Vitamin C 2-3 tablets every morning and Bio Zinc Blackmores 1 tablet before I sleep. Plus, a lot of water every day.
Significance: it’s very helpful to think positively and not going crazy with appearance. Always think that pimples and acne will go away and be confident in your self. If you have low-self esteem, you’ll feel more stressed and out of control then finally pimples/acnes will break out. In addition, you should participate in some activities, e.g. something that you really like and passionate about which can be yoga, singing, dancing etc. Once you enjoy those activities your self-esteem will be higher and you’ll no longer have no stress plus you’ll know how to love and take care of yourself better than ever.
Be happy and confident!!!

Havent posted on here but ah well, I started the Regimen about 3 days ago and after the first night the progress looked good. Then the next morning i came up with about 20 zits on the side of my face and about 5 on the other side

Then the day after the zits got bigger. Then my skin became soo sore using the BP day and night and my skin became red so i had to wash it off this morning. I dont knw what to do tbh i'm going to use the BP every nightt now for about a week and see what happens. Anyone feel free to give me some advise if this should happen?
Bye Jesse

Hi everyone, my name is Alexandra and I’m from England!
I have just become a new member today and I can't wait to get started! I have mild to moderate acne but it really gets me down. I hate going out, I can’t bear to look in the mirror and when I do I cry! I have even felt like tearing the skin off my face because I am so frustrated after trying so many things! I know this sounds so stupid because there are so many people in the world with much bigger problems than mild/moderate acne but I just can’t seem to stop it from getting me down!
I have literally tried everything! Oral antibiotics, topical antibiotics and I have a huge crate under my bed full of every conceivable over the counter acne wash/treatment! I have also recently spent over £150 on microdermabrasion which has not helped! I don’t know if anyone else in the UK has had this experience but my GP seems so reluctant to help! After several breakdowns in front on him he still seems to just keep prescribing endless antibiotics instead of referring me to a proper dermatologist!
Anyway! After seeing all the success stories on this site I’m going to give this a go! I will make sure I follow the regimen to the letter and I hope I have as much success as others on the regimen!
Just one last question: Does anyone think getting at hot shower before bed will help during the regimen? I’ve heard it opens pores or something?
Ill be sure to update- Alexandra xx

Hi, I am 42 and I have had acne since I was 11 in the 5th grade. I didn't know what the bumps were at first. Nobody else knew either. In the 6th grade I found out it was called acne. It got progressively worse through jr and sr high. I went to a dermatologist and he was old and said it will go away in a few years and put me on tetracycline and benzoil peroxide. It did nothing but make me nautious and think derms were dumb and couldn't fix me. I had so much acne that I thought if it all combined I would have a giant whitehead on top of my head and have to wear a metal shield so it wouldn't bust (saturday night live). I tried all the creams and cleansers I could afford. Then I saw an infomercial on Proactiv. I was excited. I bought the stuff and it never totally cleared me, but It made it tolerable. I was in my 20's and wondered when it was going away? I got a good job with insurance and tried derms again. I hit 30 and they put me on accutane. By that time I had been attacked by these very painful cysts called boils. Oh my god they were the worst things I could get. They stopped me from sitting or moving, having a life. I had one bust on me (didn't know it)and people thought I was bleeding to death at work cause one I had in my armpit ruptured and soaked my shirt on that side in blood. Went to the nurse and she saw 3 big centers come out of this huge hole that had opened up. She put bactracin and a ton of gauze on it to stop the bleeding. I currently dont have to shave there since it ruined the entire area and left a big dimple indent. Accutane stopped everything! I thought I was in heaven! People constantly came up to me to compliment me on my skin and ask what I did. Accutane was a miracle. I took 2 cycles of it. My skin was good for about 4 years then I got pregnant and my skin took a dump. I am now 42 and look worse than a teenager. My own teen kids have alot better skin than me. (thank god). I have never been married and don't know what its like to have regular skin. The weird thing is my back and chest is great. Only my face and groin have issues. I think I am allergic to my own body hair since when I get rid of the hairs my skin clears pretty good. My face has these very fine blonde like hairs on it and when their gone my skin is good. I am so glad I found this site. I thought I was the only one with acne this bad at my age. I thought I should be worrying about wrinkles instead. But no wrinkles just acne and dents and scars and discoloration. I am now trying the 500mg niacin pills and Likas papaya soap. Just started this past weekend. I can say I have 2 cysts pop up but they never formed full blown. And now 1 is gone and the other is going down. I am still getting little whiteheads though which is an improvement since they're (little). No blackheads. So that's my story and I wouldn't wish this on anyone. People are very cruel and inconsiderate but I know how to handle them.

Hi everybody.
End of April '09, I started to have few pimples pop up on my right face. At first, I thought it was normal to have pimples, which I had to have after some time when I was lacked of sleep/rest.
However, the nightmare started after 1+ week, I started realize that it is getting worse. At that time, I was thinking what was the cause. A few days before I got more pimples on the right faces, I had a Thai Food with some of my colleagues. I was thinking probably because of the too spicy food which had caused my face popped up more pimples than usual.
At that time, I was also thinking the facial cleansing products that I was using ain't suit to me, perhaps due to sensitive issue. Or, because of the Facial Mask that I had used once (the 1st and only once in my whole life) ? There are so many possibilities that have caused my pimples getting worse, from day to day.
I was recommended by someone (local forum) to give a try on Garnier Pure Anti-Imperfection with Salicylic Acid + Zinc Scrub Wash and also Simple Kind To Fash Moisturizing Facial Wash. I gave a try on that 2 products. Initially, I had some breakouts on my right face, then a bit on the left face follow by chin area. After about 2 weeks of using, my forehead started to breakout as well. It become more and more on my forehead, while my left, right face or chin area are getting less, but still breakouts.
I'm not sure if Salicylic Acid treatment is the right one, but after about 2 weeks of using, I found out that my forehead area is getting worse. I was so hesitating, either to give up using Salicylic Acid treatment and jumps into Acne.org Regimen, as I know all these acne treatments required some time in order to see a better results.
Finally, I made up my mind and purchased over-the-counter products to start doing my Acne.org Regimen, starting today. At the beginning stage, these are the products I managed to get it at my area.
1. Neutrogena Pure Mild Liquid Facial Cleanser 150ml
2. PanOxyl 2.5 AcneGel 40gm
3. Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer (Combination Skin) 118ml
I hope to see a slightly better results after some time of using these products, by practicing Acne.org Regimen.
Cheers.

Hello all,
First of all, let me introduce myself. I'm Vince, a 23 yo french guy. Acne curses me since I'm 14 yo, and is like... a family matter. I am a bit anxious, very active and play sport at quite high level.
I followed 2 courses of Accutane. The first, when I was 18, was effective for 2 years. Then I broke out but just dealt with it. At 22, I took another course of accutane, which was effective, but only for 2 or 3 months. My skin became altered and seems really less strong than before.
My situation is now different. I learnt from experience that there is no cure for acne : it strikes back and back.
That causes a problem with my self-confidence. In sport, and with girls. For years, my sentimental life has been linked to my acne : clean, I got girlfriends, then if I broke out, I broke, went single, because I lost my confidence. I just want to share time, attention, and more of course, with someone without being a slave to my skin.
I ordered 2 weeks ago dan's regimen. My skin was quite clear, with some blackheads, and one or two little papules, but it was because I was on Fucidic acid (an antibiotic) for a folliculitis matter. My dermatologist told me to go for 2,5 % BP, so I went to DKR.
I received my box last week, and was very excited to start on monday (3 days ago).
My first impressions were positive : the bottles look clean, professionnal. I ordered 2 big kits (2 * 16 oz) + AHA & Jojoba.
Monday morning, I kicked in.
My first fear was related to shaving, but it felt really great with the cleanser, plus I use normally a 2 bladed Sensor shaver. So it was ok.
After that, I treated my skin with BP. It felt OK, and the gel fastly kicked into my skins layer. Then I used the moisturizer.
I think the moisturizer is the worst part of the regimen products, but I would give it a 3.5 out of 5, that means, correct.
--
3 Days after.
First effect : my skin started to become more dark-red, like sunburnt. It now feels itchy, but it s not painful.
Complexion is red, irritated. The old red marks look more red than before.

It was to be expected, but I didn't imagine it would be so noticeable.
I had a breakout, 2 or 3 pimples came out. It s not really a big issue, but one of them got cut with shaver so I had to clean it properly. I hope tomorrow it will be ok.
I drink 1,5 to 2L of water each day.
Notes :
--
- taking 1 or 2 serving a day of Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein Isolate
- taking 1 cap a day of Flaxseed oil
- taking 4 caps a day of Reflex Nextgen Probiotics + Vitamins + Minerals
- taking 5 g a day of creatine monohydrate
for sport needs.
What I expect here ? To get clean, get support, even if my English is not perfect
Thanks !
To be continued...

Okay, well I've been on the regimen for almost two weeks now and I have seen some impressive improvement thus far. Since it appears to be working, I'm going to start a log to document my progress. I have high hopes for this regimen and I have a good feeling this log will turn out successful.
I'm also going to post pics from when I first started till now.
