Niacinamide is also known as Vitamin B3 or Nicotinamide. Research articles have demonstrated the antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of Vitamin B3.
Topical application of Niacinamide have shown it to be superior to antibiotics such as clindamycin - with no side-effects (unlike antibiotics).
Niacinamide face cleansing pads with water-soluble microbeads and pore-cleansing action are now available on Amazon.com
Here is an article highlighting its efficacy:

My landscaper has tried several treatments unsuccessfully. His latest treatment with Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) pads provided success. This daily facial pad provides anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial action which is great for his sun burned face.
He is extremely pleased with this low cost treatment (compared to other OTC) which has helped him stay acne free since. I researched the product for him and it is available on Amazon.com.
Wishing you all similar success!
