Question for People Who Are Done Accutane

After you finished your course, did your oily skin come back?



Also, were your pores smalller?

2 questions for accutaners!

1) does it matter if you dont take your pill at the same time every day? i take mine sometimes with dinenr, sometimes in the afternoon. my life is crazy right now i am just trying to take it with the biggest meal atm


2) it is only day 7. this morning my face was not too dry, this after noon my face was feeling a bit greasy (it always does if i have moisturizer on) so i wash it when i get home with netrogena extra gentle cleanser..this stuff is really fucking gentle and my whole face is left soooooo dry. so the quesion is : how often to you guys wash your face? does moisturizer clog your pores? and did your faces get this dry so early on? im on 40mg. (sorry that was 3 questions)

Heyyyyyyy. my name is harley and i started accutane 3 days ago. im 20, a female, and hopefully logging will get me through this accutane journey. alllllright

my acne is usually mild but persistant. ive been on diane 35 for 8 months. this kinda helped make it go from moderate to mild but my skin is stillll oily and im sick of chronic pimps on my chin, occasional on my cheeks, and a very clogged forhead.

SO day one: got a headache right after taking the pill at dinner. starting reading about negative experiences and got scared. read some pos. experiences and felt better

day two: accidently scratched a scab off my cheekbone and it bled profusely. it was a lottttt for a tiny scab. in two days skin is already more delicate. this is tough stuff. (ps im on 40mg perday i wiegh 110lbs)
experienced flushing. im already prone to flushing so IM SCARED

DAY 3: no flushing. i think i was scared i was gonna be flushing alot so i did on day 2. but day 3 went well. some unexplainable physcological phenonememon.........

today is day 4. i read putting lots of lip balm before they start getting dry helps keep them nice and moist. i shall do this. i am using nivea lip balm and burts bees.

i am trying to find a good moisturizer. i never moistuize bc i am afriad it will clog my pores but when my skin starts getting reaaaal dry i know i wll have to. suggestions??

Gluten/ Wheat induced-acne

anyone who knows they're acne is induced by either wheat or gluten....

if you do eat wheat how long does it take for pimples to show up?

are they big pimples or little pimples ?

how long did it take for acne to stop once you stopped eating wheat/gluten?


i always have small pimples on my face. recently they have started to spread from my chin to my cheeks and are like tiny clogged pores all over. i think i ate a lot more wheat than usual in the last 10 days or so. i have stopped eating wheat for 2 days now but no improvment yet it might even be continuing to get worse. avoiding gluten is harder, some foods i ate today touched bread crumbs but im really dont think i can be that sensitive to gluten. i do get bloated quite a bit. anyways my acne doesnt respond to treamtents like benzoly peroxide and diane 35. thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!!!

A few questions

for anyone on these forums who know their acne is affected by what they eat ; the culprits commonly being wheat, sugar, dairy, etccc

1) is the acne you develop from eating foods you are allergic / intolerant to : a) severe b) moderate c) mild (describe)
2) is the acne concentrated in certain areas of the face or all over. if so, which areas?
3) does the acne respond to topical treatments in any way without elminination of 'bad' foods?
4)have you always had an intolerance to the food or did it develop at a certain point in your life
5) was the food intolerance triggered by something else? is so, what?
6) how much of the food can you tolerate without breaking out?
7) does the intolerance show any other symptons in other arears of the body?
8) what are the food/foods you avoid and what type of diet are you on?
9) how long did it take to clear up once you began elminination the foods?
