i have been on accutane for 2 months and after month 1 my skin was looking almost cleared (from 20 mg) and then I started 40 mg a month ago and ever since I have had an initial breakout but it seemed to calm down though. Now what is awful is school started 3 days ago and I have been wearing tons of powder makeup to cover up redmarks and remaining acne . oh, my acne was mild/moderate but persistant to start with. so, i have been getting 1 new pimple a day every since I have started school on the same side of my face. Could this be from the makeup? Does wearing makeup stop accutane's progress? Does it mean that the makeup is bad for my skin and if I find a new one it will go back to normal?! Also my skin is now very itchy

The makeup could be causing the breakouts, or Accutane could still be purging the skin. If you want makeup recommendations, I use Cover Girl Clean Makeup Fragrance-Free. It's a liquid and goes on well, though it really helps to moisturize first. It's never broken me out at all.
Good luck!

Try using mineral make up or something that is oil-free. Go to Sephora and ask them what kind of make up they recommend for acne!
Good luck!!!! Hope your face clears up soon! |

I use Max Factor Pan Cake makeup. It's water-based and oil-free.

Also my skin is now very itchy Ppersonally I would say stay OFF acutane...it can be really harmfull for your body and in severe cases it has awfull side effects, have you ever tried working out on a regular bases; like 20 minutes a day but you really have to sweat it out, it's kinda working for me by the way, ive seen my skin get way better, i use BP and work out daily try that , i hope it works for you |
