my boyfriend, mother, friends, all seem to be so NOt helpful in my decision on whether or not to take bcp
i really need some help here guys, i'm gonna snap form the pressure

ok- a background...
been on antibiotics on an off for a while now (doxycycline) to treat acne, with some unwanted side-effects (ie. gram-negative folliculitis)

i'm only 16, so hopefully my acne will clear up soon
and i wouldn't want to throw off the possibility of it clearing up on it's own by me messing with my hormones!
also, i do smoke on and off, but i'm trying to quit for sure

but: my bacne is pretty embarassing
i have a long term boyfriend (but we are not having sex, though we may sometime in the future)
i have bad pms and cramping

my facial acne has been kept pretty much at bay with the use of retin-a micro

i'm scared to get off the doxy, but i will have to eventually

i'm scared of bcp's because of:
bad ib's
moodswings
breat tenderness
it not being as effective as doxy
what happens if i decide to ever get OFF the pill
risk of less fertility later in life
unnatural-ness of fake hormones
weight gain
melasma
blod clots
stroke
breast cancer
risk of it interacting with other antibiotics (see, i also have to be on other antibiotcs a lot because i get infections easily)
bad breakouts on inactive weeks (don't think i really want to skip inactive weeks, either)

i think that's all for right now

but i would like some kind of brith control in the near future and i would like to get off of antibiotics if possible, but I dunno if these are enough to outweigh the other options
of course, with the current and newest form of the pill, these risks are way lower, i know

any feedback would be SO appreciated

i've already seen a gyn and she prescribed me orth tri-cyclen for whenever i wanna take it
