Hi everyone smile.gif

I've been doing the DKR for 4.5 months now, and it's working really well in some areas. However I'm still breaking out on my chin and the creases of my nose sad.gif

My Paula's choice 2% BHA should arrive next week, which I'm planning to use x1 a day in the evening before BP. (Hopefully it won't be too irritating).

I currently use AHA in the evening, but I guess I'll have to skip this because I read you're not supposed to use 2 exfoliants together (I could use the BHA in the morning but don't want to flake all day!)

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is this a good routine? I'm not sure if my remaining breakouts are inflammatory or not, but read that BHA can help any acne, not just comedonal...?

Thanks for any advice smile.gif

My hands are getting quite dry because I wash them before applying BP, after, before moisturising, and after (I wash them after so I don't bleach anything). Before leaving the house in the morning I've probably washed them about 5 times. I've tried some handwashes for sensitive skin but it doesn't help. My skin is quite sensitive.

There are a few out there for people with eczema, but they leave a residue which I'm worried may transfer to my skin... or maybe I'm being paranoid.

Can anyone recommend a good gentle handwash please?

Hi whistling.gif)

I'm currently using Eucerin Skin Renewal face cream as part of Dan's regimen. It's the best one I've tried so far, but I still have quite dry and flaky skin in some areas, even reapplying it. I know Cetaphil is recommended as really moisturing, but I can only find Cetaphil moisturiser in the US meaning paying stupidly high shipping rates - does anyone know an alternative in the UK please?

Thanks smile.gif

Hi smile.gif I'm using DKR for my face as directed (2x a day) with some success so far. I've recently tried it on my back, but have bleached a few items of clothing now, so have just started doing it once a day, in the evening.

In the morning I use AHA. I use BP in the morning too if I'm wearing all white, but I can't wear white every day, and even when I wear a white top under something else, the something else tends to get bleached in places where it touches the top of my back... fun wink.gif

I know you're supposed to do it twice a day for results, and I'm really not being lazy because I do it on my face so it would be no problem to do that bit extra, but it's impossible as a long-term solution for me to wear white forever.

Has anyone tried this?? Thanks in advance smile.gif

Hi smile.gif I've been doing the regimen since 27/6/08 (just into the 7th week now). I started AHA on 29/7/08 (1.5 weeks ago).

I was clearing, but now I'm breaking out again - do you think this is just coincidence or the AHA? Should I keep using it and hope my skin starts to clear again? I'm using it once a day in the evening.

Also, I was hoping it would help with flaking, but I'm still flaking. I use jojoba before cleansing to gently rub the flakes off. I use a moisturiser in the morning (Eucerin) after BP. Then I reapply some in the afternoon. Then I usually need some after work too on certain areas. In the evening I use AHA instead of moisturiser after BP.

This seems like a lot of moisturiser for 6/7 weeks in?? But I'm wondering whether I should be moisturising in the evening after the AHA as well? I haven't been adding jojoba to my moisturiser recently because I'm not too keen on the feel of it on my skin during the day, but I may see if it makes a difference. I'm also using vaseline on problem flaky bits at night (side of my face, around my mouth).

I'm running out of ideas! Anyone know how long the AHA takes to reduce flakiness and whether it should reduce it completely? I'm guessing I should carry on using it and hope my skin starts to clear again and the flakiness reduces... I just thought my skin should have adjusted a bit better to things by now. Any advice would be appreciated smile.gif
