Hi everyone,

I have some very mild you have to look really up close and scrutinize my skin shallow scarring. Will a stronger TCA peel (not talking about TCA CROSS) improve them? Has anyone tried? What were the results? I see some websites, including doctor's websites, that mention that improving shallow scarring is one of the benefits of a TCA Peel but I wanted some anecdotal review too.

Thanks!

So I'm confused eusa_think.gif

Some websites say that accutane suppresses production of new skin cells while others say it increases skin cell turn over. I thought I heard my derm say it increases skin cell turn over but I want to be sure. I mean the latter makes more sense since wouldn't you want to get new skin and get the older stuff out?

I'm asking because if it increases skin cell turn over, shouldn't it help with red marks since you are generating new skin at a faster rate? Thanks in advance!

I've heard it worked great on acne scars. But I get confused because when a lot of people say "acne scars" they, without realizing, are actually referring to red marks. But what about real scars, like boxcar or ice picks? Does it work on those as well? If so, what is the best way to use and how long does it take to see an improvement (even if just mild)?

Ok, my skin isn't really oily.. or dry. It's normal. But I have acne. It's probably an exfoliation issue. I know accutane helps with normalization of skin shedding, so ya.

Anyways, I'm set to go on accutane in a month and I always hear how it driiies the heck out of you. But if you didn't have oily skin to begin with? Did anyone try it? How did it effect you?

Of course at my next visit I'm going to ask my derm, but I wanted some feedback from real live users. Thanks!
