Post-Accutane Relapse

Hey everyone, I give up. Ha. But seriously, my last month of my 6mo/80mg daily went well. Zero acne for the first time in my life. Im 24 btw, I usually get a cyst a week, not much little stuff. things were going well for 3 weeks. Then all of the sudden my skin decided to return back to its pre-accutane state. Now Im about 2 months off and its worse than its ever been. I havent had a mega cyst but Im breaking out all over which I never did before. Lots of small/medium cysts. The type that look like a bug bite for a day, then turn into some gross lump filled with clear liquid and no puss. Any help??? I saw my derm today and she gave me retin-a and minocycline. Will I have a bad IB from the retin-a since I just got off accutane. Any help is appreciated

Two more weeks of accutane.....and then what?

Hey everyone. Well Im glad to say that I only have two weeks left of my six month course. My skin still isnt totally clear but its wayyy better than it used to be. I never get anything to squeeze out and get an occasional weak cyst.

Anyways

What do I do when I finish? Go back to bp treatment? Or just do the washing/moisturizing twice a day thing that Ive been doing on accutane? Also, how long until my lips return to normal (thats been my only annoying side effect)?

switching generics mid-course

I just finished my third month on accutane. the first month was 40mg of claravis and the last two months were 80mg claravis. its coming along pretty well. i went to pick up my prescription today (at a diff drug store than i usually do) and got sortet. is it ok to go from one generic brand to another while in the middle of a course? its not going to slow things down or change anything will it?

Accutane: hot towel compress

So Im in the middle of month two. First month was 40mg/day and now im up to 80. I got a little cyst on my cheek. I decide to put a towel under hot water and do the heat thing. I had done this towards the end of month one with results. I just did it (5 min total, on and off), washed my face, put lotion on and it really burned. I flipped on the light over the mirror and it looks like I burned off a quarter-sized piece of skin. Any hints, suggestions, similar experiences?

Cyst treatment

I just started accutane about 10 days ago. Around the time I started, I got a cyst like I have never had and it was only picking up more steam. I got a cortisone shot in it yesterday. It felt a little more dry by nighttime and today it had a sort of scab over it. The scab was very dry and flaky so I just peeled it off. It was almost coming off to start with. Its off now and the cyst looks terrible. It feels so much more full now. Its hard, not as flat as before. Is it just temporarily annoyed or did it set myself back?
