Pros None
Cons Caused me to break out, worse left scars on my face!
Bottom line I am of East Indian descent and have medium tan skin. I never had acne problems before starting on Mama Lotion - I am in my thirties and wanted it more for its supposed anti-aging properties. I bought the samples. The first couple of times, it worked great. Then ... aargh - acne! And not just pimples, but scars that remain on my skin to this day. I am so upset. I had great clear skin and thoughtlessly spoiled it. Stay away from this product!

Pros mama lotion Worked great got rid of stubborn acne on my forehead after 3 weeks use. Also have melasma on cheeks and it hs faded it by about 70 per cent.I thought this lotion had stopped working as the stinging stopped. But i discovered the key-apply w
Cons quite drying so i used shea butter to moisture-success
Bottom line If it appears to stop working and stinging the skin -Then apply warm water to affected clean skin area to open the skin pores- gently dry skin and apply mama lotion-it starts to sting skin and works again. might not work for every one - but definitely worked for me.

Pros Fades red marks quickly, sometimes kills the pimple
Cons MADE MY CYSTIC ACNE COME BACK, DRY SKIN
Bottom line i bought a sample of mama lotion thinking that it would work for me since i heard good reviews. Unfortunately, mama lotion made my break out cystic acne that i havent had since i finished accutane. It is good for scars but not for active acne.

Pros soft & smooth skin, more even-toned skin
Cons stings a little-but worth it
Bottom line The first night, I put it on half my face. The morning after,I woke up and thought that I had a dream during the night that half my face had turned baby smooth. Not so! I felt both sides of my face and the one that I used the MaMa Lotion on was amazingly silky feeling. I then realized it wasn't a dream - it was real. It just seemed too good to be true, because I had battled oily skin, acne, rough patches, and alternating dryness from acne products for over 30 years.

I have now been using it every other night for 2 weeks and I am extremely pleased with the results. This lotion has done more for my face than a $900 chemical peel that I had performed by a doctor.

Pros Many positive reviews
Cons A little pricey
Bottom line I am not a user yet, but I placed my online order for MAMA 3 days ago and await its arrival.
I've browsed several review boards for this product, and noticed mostly glowing reviews for MAMA, but most of the positive reviews were left after one week of usage, or mabey two weeks.I have seen the negative reviews as well-the intense peeling, the smell, the stickiness, and worst of all, the fact that MAMA has the potential to make one's hyperpigmentation even worse (i.e. DARKER).I wanted to get some detailed reviews from long-standing users of MAMA. Did anyone experience any of the following: After initial usage, experienced darker hyperpigmentation and/or increased amounts of pimples? After prolonged use, did hyperpigmentation get better? I've also read some comments warning against spot treatments, and others applauding it. Other suggest using it over the entire face, like a lotion? Also, any reviewers who posted initially have any follow-ups???

Pros If you have a "cyst" or "pustule" and apply this directly as a spot treatment, it effectively weakens it and sends it into a remission taking the pain away usually with overnight use. Good for spot treating bumps that don't "pop."
Cons Very drying. "Burns" off your skin and leaves red circles in the used spots. If you apply to your who face be ready for a face of red and dryness. If you have sensitive skin, DO NOT USE THIS. Be honest with yourself because it will saveyoutrouble
Bottom line Good at turning a painful to touch zit into nothing without having to take care of it by popping. However, it's very damaging to skin, causes more scarring than acne itself because it literally eats your skin off when healing a zit. Drying, causes redness.

However, no fragrance or nasty smell.

I would say skip this product, you can find cheaper and better working items that do not damage your skin like this does. I have stopped use because I noticed it created a light pink spot where I used it on my face, which will take more time to heal than acne.

Pros Smells great! I'm not sure why people are saying it stinks, it smells like a lotion or soft perfume. I have only been using it for almost a month now (Keep in mind the first two weeks you can only use every other day) and so far no complaints.
Cons The price for the full bottle, but it seems to be working so it's worth it.
Bottom line Bottom line is it smells good and barely sticky. (People keep saying it stinks and is sticky, disagreed!). It will sting only if you put it on acne that is opened so I recommend not using it immidiately after a shower as it will probably stink.

If youre considering this, try the sample bottles, thats what I purchased.

Pros I couldnt believe my eyes after 2 days of application my acne disappeared. I have had ugly breakouts with ugly black scarring, I have tried everything you can think of and watsed hundreds of rands, but the answer came with MAMA.
Cons The sting after application
Bottom line Seems to be retarding breakouts, only two days and I cannot believe my eyes, even my colleagues are commenting..........

Pros Evens out your skintone, fades red/brown marks, prevents new acne, removes blackheads, and prevents congested pores.
Cons Kinda pricey, but a little goes a LONG way with this! I bought 3 sample tubes (for $6) and got a free one with my order-its been a month and I am not even through one tube yet!
Bottom line I think the main reason why some people are getting different results with this is that they are using it either incorrectly, or not taloring their use of it to suite their skin type. For me I cannot use it more than every other day right now and that is plenty. Also you should only be applying a pea sized amount to your whole face-you can't layer it over just one part of your face otherwise you may cause peeling. I only apply a tiny amount each time I use this and my results have been fantastic! I think that within 3 weeks from now I will be comfortable not wearing makeup in public (so excited!). This stuff has improved the texture and tone of my skin drastically. My skin is glowing right now! I look fantastic! At this moment I have NO active pimples on my face and I am PMSing! This is the first time in the past year that I have felt confident and good about myself. Make sure to only add a tiny bit, use it as a lotion not a spot treatment, and don't use it more that 3 times per week.
