| Pros | drys up pimples over night and makes them visibly smaller..tightens skin.. and gives a nice glow.. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Just a little stinging at first...But you'll get over it.. I guess it depends on the person or the severity of your acne.. |
| Bottom line | I am 25 and never suffered from acne until I hit 21.. My problem area was my cheeks. For years I tried everything, I even went to a dermatologist and they prescribed me topical medication and pills. It did no good for me.. I started to do some research on natural home remedies for acne and every website i went through mentioned lemon..I looked at the cons and the only one that was mentioned was going out in the sunlight with the lemon juice on your face would give your skin some discoloration..But thats common sense.. so I gave it a try..Within 2 days the redness disappeared and my pimples shrunk in size.GREAT IMPROVEMENT...What you do is Get a fresh lemon and squeeze some juice on a cottonball..Rub it all over your face...Leave it on for no more than 10 mins...WASH IT OFF.. thats it... do this every night..Guaranteed improvement... Good Luck |

| Pros | Tones skin, makes it look fresh and bright, helps to reduce red marks/discoloration, helped with hormonal acne around chin/jawline, helping to control overall acne on my face. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Can sting and/or itch a bit. |
| Bottom line | Lemon juice- it works! I tried using this overnight, every night, but found that this caused small pimples on my forehead and aggravated some of the acne on other areas of my face. So I tried again and I find that the lemon juice is more effective if it is rinsed off after about 15- 30 mins of having it on the face. I do this once every other day, and it's working! I had terrible pimples and red marks all along my jaw line that just wouldn't go away, and the lemon juice is getting rid of them! My acne red marks on other areas of my face are slowly, but surely, fading more each day- and I do believe it is even helping with my blackheads! This stuff is helping me get my acne under control after six years of struggling with every chemical product on the market! Try it! P.S. But be sure NOT to wear this in sunlight! It can make your skin more sensitive to the sun, and I heard it can actually stain or discolor you skin if you wear it in the sunlight. |

| Pros | gave me results |
|---|---|
| Cons | stings - so Dilute it: 50% water, 50% lemon juice if you're putting it on ur face. However, I was able to put PURE lemon juice on my back. |
| Bottom line | I have a lot of "red spots" from old acne on my cheeks and so far it has faded them and made them smaller. It cleared up my chin from acne, it decreased the black heads but they have not disappeared. At first it gave me a bit more acne before it started working, but it was very little and didn't bother me so much. when i stopped using it for 3 days, my chin broke out again so i'm back on it now! I have been using this for 4 weeks |

| Pros | It does lighten your skin, clears dark spots. Makes acne go away after enough use. (You need to be persistent in order for things to work out correctly.) |
|---|---|
| Cons | It may or may not prevent newer breakouts based upon certain times/conditions. At first, it stings like hell, but eventually you do get used to it. |
| Bottom line | They are cheap (I can't seem to smell them though) and convenient. After trying other different medications, creams and other topical applications, lemons have worked the best for me. Although the results took a bit for me, it all works out in the end because my face looks much, much better than it did previously awhile ago. My face is much clearer now than it was before. I've applied it every night after taking a shower, using fresh lemons, squeezing the juices into a small cup, and taking a cotton ball to apply the lemon juice to the general areas. And I'm still applying it every night. Works well! |

| Pros | It works and there really are no side effects for me...I've never noticed dryer than usual skin as others who have posted here, but then I use a high-end moisturizer at least once a day. |
|---|---|
| Cons | It can sting/tingle and if you stop using it for an extended period of time, your skin trouble comes back. |
| Bottom line | Use this. Give it two or three weeks. Seriously -- there isn't much out there that is as reliable. If I get them as they are just flaring up, they are gone within two or three days--be patient when you are first starting out, though. I think it took about three weeks for me. |

| Pros | smells good, natural, WORKS BETTER then mederma, murad, or anything i've tried like it. cheap price, |
|---|---|
| Cons | dries out skin a little but just use some good moisturizer. besides that I love it |
| Bottom line | Im 19 yrs old. I never had acne in high school but within the last year I started getting lots of acne on my chin and around the lower parts of my cheeks. It was making me really upset cause I have always been used to having glowing skin that i didn't need to cover up with make up so needless to say I have tried everything from proactiv, to using clean towel every time i dry my face, lots of other acne creams, masks, scrubs, cleansers. oil free everything etc. .... BUT NOTHING WORKS as well as lemons do. its amazing, something so simple, pure and cheap could fade redness so well and even prevent pimples from forming. I have been putting lemon juice on my face every night after washing it with a benzoyl peroxide wash, and I have yet to get another breakout in this past week and a half, and the red marks are fading fast, I LOVE IT! so oh oh oh good :) |
