Pros: Very cheap, natural, no side effects that I've noticed yet, really seems to have made a difference in my skin. Cons: Slow at fading red spots Bottom Line: I've never actually had acne except for some mild flare-ups during stressful times, but for some reason, I have had a two month major break-out that has been hitting me in waves. It seems to finally be in control and I think that lemom juice applied topically sped up the end of the process dramatically. If only I knew about it two months ago.. I've been using it for about two weeks today and my skin just has about three healing, faded pimples and nothing else! I wear it overnight. I had a particularly large pustule and lemon juice is what finally shrank it down. I'm not sure it would work for everyone but this is the clearest skin I've had in months and everyone has noticed. I'm finally getting my face back. This isn't the only thing I've been doing, though. The same time I started applying lemon juice, I also stared drinking water with a wedge of lemon squeezed in and I bought a Burdock root/Red Root compound at my local health store. Pros: Something you can find easily, Cheaper then advertised products, and its a fruit. Cons: If your skin is sensitive, then it might sting or itch, so you need to mix it with a little water. Bottom Line: I've used to products like Acne-Free or proactive, to get rid of the black heads around my lips and some moderate acne, which showed little results. When I tried applying some lemon (juice squeezed from a lemon) I GOT FAST RESULTS THE NEXT DAY. This is worth trying once. I put some on at night with a little water and the next morning, black heads are lighter and other stuff. You have to try this. I was a little doubting the whole thing but I tried it once and got results. I never knew lemons can work miracles. Pros: I have severe scarring because I pick all the time. i get so depressed, makeup doesn't cover it up. I have tried everything. lemon juice healed it in two days - neosporin, vit e gel, aloe didn't. this stuff is amazing and all my whiteheads gone Cons: its a pain to keep buying the lemons, but worth it with results Recommended: Yes Usage: Me has used this item for about a week. Pros: Within two days all my zits were half as swollen as they were before, and some of them completely went away. This stuff is the best thing I have tried on my skin yet. Cons: It kinda makes my skin a little itchy but it's completely worth the results. Bottom Line: It's great, and I can save so much money now because I don't need any of the other products I used to buy all the time. I like to apply the lemon juice with a cotton ball and rub it on my face, let it dry, and then since it leaves a sticky residue I take a wet rag and leave it on my face for a minute after I've done the lemon juice. Pros: easy, natural, and above all, CHEAP!! Cons: shouldn't apply to whole face if you have dry, sensitive skin. Bottom Line: At first, I used a cotton ball to apply the lemon juice to the brown spots on my face, but noticed that the skin around the brown spots was also lightening slightly. So I switched to applying the juice with q-tips, careful just to apply directly to brown spots, and none of the surrounding clear skin. If your skin seems oily, it may be because it is actually dry, and producing more oil to hydrate itself. My skin used to be normal but I had a few spots occasionally so I tried Proactiv. That TOTALLY dried out my skin and made it really shiny, tight, and red. So I apply olive oil to my entire face before I go to bed, and it has made my face glow and not shiny anymore.. and rarely do people break out when they use olive oil on their skin.. it produces fast and lovely results!! Pros: Gets rid of red spots on face and quickly clears break outs. miracle fruit. Cons: none Bottom Line: Im on my first month of Accutane so im having an initial breakout - but thank god for the lemon because i have been drinking a glass (with mostly water) of it a day and rubbing it on my face while in the shower, and then letting it set. Pros: SKIN FEELS VERY CLEAN AND TIGHTER. I ALSO FELT LIKE I HAD A NATURAL GLOW AND DIDN'T NEED BLUSH OR BRONZER. Cons: AFTER 4 DAYS I DEVELOPED A SLIGHT RASH (TINY RED BUMPS) ON MY CHEEKS. I SHOULD HAVE DILUTED THE LEMON JUICE MORE OR NOT HAVE LEFT IT ON AS LONG. I DID IT FOR A HALF HOUR AT A TIME WHICH I BELIEVE CAUSED THE RASH. Bottom Line: I LOVE LEMON JUICE!!! WORKS AMAZING... EVENS OUT SKIN TONES AND LEAVES U FEELING SO CLEAN!!! (JUST WATCH OUT FOR OVEREXPOSING UR SKIN TO THE JUICE AND IRRITATING IT!) Recommended: Yes Usage: KIKI has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: WORKS!!!! just try it for a week or two. Cons: Hurts at first then u get use to it after a minute in a half. for faster results use it morning and night. Bottom Line: Leave it on for about 20 min everyday for about 2 weeks and u will see results... acne goes away & ur acne scars start to fade away.I personally like it because my scars went away in about 2 weeks and i had good looking skin. Pros: Gets rid of existing acne, unclogs pores, make your skin feel sooo health, cheap and simple. Cons: none really counting all the other things i've tried. Bottom Line: TRY IT! It is so worth it and works so fast. I LOVE ACNE.ORG for showing me all these cheap alternatives that work longer and so much better! Pros: Lightens blemishes fast Get's rid of blackheads Smells nice Cons: Can burn and if you're not careful it can dry out skin way too fast! Bottom Line: I started lemon treatment about two weeks ago and noticed a difference on my blemishes by the second day. I let lemon juice sit on my skin for 20min. two times a day (morning & night), then rinsed. The only scary thing, I was peeling quite a bit, but it didn't hurt at all, it just looked weird. I only do it for about 3 days in a row then take a 5-7 day break. The lemon can be harsh on the skin! And I noticed that peeling is easier to come off when skin is wet.
