Pros:really reduces pustuals as well as comedomes. makes hyperpigmentation significantly less red.
Cons:stings like a little boy whipping you with a towel!
Bottom Line:I developed acne at age 18 mainly due to a hormonal inbalance. im on the pill and it hasnt shown amazing results. i went vegan about 11 months ago and can say that that made a huge impact on helping me skin. i also switched to natural face washes. This helped clear my skin at least 60%. the problem is i am a HUGE picker so i always have terrible scars and red marks even after the pimple is gone. this makes me look like i have way more zits than i do. I read about lemon juice on a holistic website and tried it. it really helps hyperpigmentation go away and any zits i had are gone. I am coupling topical use with drinking warm lemon water everyday. I KNOW that it is a combination that it working because the results werent as amazing until i started drinking the stuff. You must clean ure self on the inside as well as the outside. stings like heck, but totally worth it. USE ORGANIC LEMONS!!!!!!!(so what if they are more expensive, u dont want cancer on top of acne)

Pros:+It may help dry up pimples
+If used consistently, it will also reduce the appearance of red marks
Cons:-It burns and stings
-It can damage your skin because of the acidity
-It dries out your skin badly
Bottom Line:While it does help a little to clear up acne, it will do more damage than good. The acidity of the lemon juice will damage your skin and dry it out.

Pros:Rids face of redness, Gets rid of the big stuff, Lessens appearance of scars
Cons:Did burn a little bit
Bottom Line:Read up on lemon juice and its effects on acne after being told to try it by some random guy.. Reading through ppl's reviews on here, I decided it couldn't hurt, so last night, I gave it a go.. Washed my face with the dove beauty bar like I always do, then after, took a slice of lemon, squeezed it in my hand, and applied it to my whole face with a cotton swab.. It burned at first, so i put a little water on, too... This afternoon I woke up with my face looking a little bit more even. but still had alotta bumps and a huge red pimple coming in on my cheek.. Then later in the day, I mixed an egg white and lemon juice(1 slice) as a 20 minute mask.. Just looked in the mirror, and the pimple on my cheek is tiny, not even pink anymore, and you can hardly see it.. Also, I noticed an immediate result in the smoothness of my skin... I'm gonna keep it up for a week or two then update..

Pros:It works!! Squeeze some lemon juice into a container/cup and dab a cotton wool/makeup pad into it, then dab onto face. Leave overnight.
Cons:Stings, especially on active, red pimples.
Bottom Line:Have tried so many different products from beauticians, doctors, dermatologists...
Nothing has ever worked so well and so quickly (overnight!)

Pros:Smells nice
Easy to apply
Cons:Hurts sooooo much
Makes my skin really dry afterwards
Bottom Line:I notice that it SLIGHTLY decreases the color of my scars, but after I wake up the next morning, my face always looks redder than usual.
The redness persists for about half a day.

Pros:-Works very well
-Natural
-Cheap
Cons:-Really only a spot treatment
-Slight burn (but you know it's working)
Bottom Line:While I don't put this all over my face, I do apply it to a developing pimple or a recently popped one. Drip a little on a cotton swab and rub over the area. It will either dry out the developing blemish, or clean out the open pore of a popped zit. I use it along with a BP-based cleanser and aloe vera gel.

It's great, not only because it works, but because it's also all-natural, costs only a couple bucks for months of use, and is not an embarrassing tube of some cream.

As for the burn, it's only slight, and I actually enjoy it because it makes me think that it's doing something. It does dry your skin, but if you use a moisturizer like Fruit Of The Earth Aloe Gel you shouldn't have any problems. As for scarring, I have perceived none.

Try this. It really works.

Pros:Reduces redmarks, natural, cheap, smells better than vinigar, makes your skin really soft!
Cons:can be a little drying and you may need to dilute it if you find it too harsh
Bottom Line:*Everyone should know about this!* I applied a mix of lemon juice and egg white (not as harsh as just lemon) to my face last night. When I woke up this morning my mum even noticed the difference.

After one application the spots have got smaller and the red marks faded by a thrid.

I read somewhere that you can make a mask of egg white, lemon juice and powdered milk- but haven't tried it yet. I think lemon juice and applecider vinigar are interchangeable (though ACV is a little harsher).
