Pros Effective if you stay with it. Cheap.
Cons Stings a bit and can leave your skin a bit sticky. A bit of talc helps with that.
Bottom line I use it all over my body. Remarkable results.

Pros Gives skin a little bit of a glow, reduces pimple size, controls oil secretions, reduce pore size, lightens scars very slightly
Cons Mild stinging and burning sensation, drying to the skin, doesn't do very much with my blackheads & scars
Bottom line I use this as an astringent; I put about one or two tbsp. of lemon juice in a cup with an ice cube (helps close the pores :D ) and I just dip a cotton pad in it and apply the cold juice all over the affected areas. I don't put it all over the face as it can be very drying, especially during the winter months. I use vitamin E oil on the dry areas- works wonders! I do this every morning and night after I wash my face. It does help with existing acne- if I have a really big ones, I'll put the lemon juice over it and the next morning it won't hurt as bad and the swelling will go down a little. As for my scars, I haven't noticed a dramatic difference which is my main issue, apart from the blackheads. I don't get a lot of big breakouts anymore except when I'm stressed; however it seems as though the lemon juice works much better on those than with my actual scars & blackheads. I've been keeping this up for a few weeks so hopefully in a month or so my skin will improve!

Pros smells good. I hope it will fade my scars.
Cons It just stings a little the first 5 minutes.
Bottom line So I'm trying this for the first time now, I don't know if it works. First a cleaned my face, then a put on some alovera cream, then I cut a slice of the lemon and rubb it gently around my face (not eyes and lips). Burns a little, but it's starting to get bether now. I'm gonna leave it over night. (Sorry if my english is bad).

Pros pimples appeared smaller after first use
Cons For me it only hurts for that first few secs. (Maybe I have a thick skin??? Haha.)
Bottom line This is only my second time using..haven't seen any visible results on clearing skin or scars..Will continue using it since i'm not affected by the "stings" of lemon juice. Haha.

Pros exfoliate, brightens, even skin tone, removes dark spots, reduce pores, decreases breakouts, get rid of redness. no more dermatologist. use lemon 3-4 times weekly. cheap. 3 for a buck.
Cons of course it stings when first applied, but after about 5 treatments, stings no more. lemons are a slow process. be patient. acne clears within 2 weeks. very dark spots about 6 weeks.
Bottom line i have had acne for 29 years. i am now acne free. i use benzyl peroxide first. then i wait about 20 minutes and cut the lemon into quarters and use one quarter over my face sqeezing the juice along the way. leave on face for at least 1-2 hours, rinse with cool water and olive oil and WOW! my face cleared in 2 weeks. no more dark spots and i rarely break out. also, go to health store and purchase aloe vera juice(noon) tsp., apple cider vinegar(a.m.) tsp, green tea(evening) cup. i drink each once a day at different times. they detoxify your body and aids in getting rid of acne. no need to take antibiotics. Lemons rock! moisturize and sun block!

Pros IT WORKS. Lightens skin. Clears acne (slowly but surely). Fades some acne marks (some stayed but less noticeable now). Verfy convenient. Just be patient. In a month or two it WILL WORK!
Cons Stings a little. Besides that no other Cons.
Bottom line I have been keeping up with these reviews on lemon (specifically these reviews here on acne.org for a few months now). I was using Murad a couple of months ago and saw these great reviews and decided to give lemon a try. It was hard to decide because i don't like change and Murad was slowly starting to work. I tried the lemon. It takes a loooooooong time for lemon to work. For me it did. I've been using lemon for about two and half months now and my skin is finally clear. it takes about a month to two months for it to start working. I still have my last Murad shipment unopened. I don't need it. I started using Limes over lemon now. Limes work better.

Pros after 3 day of use, redness of acne is GONE, scars are less noticeable and skin is healing faster
Cons I'm in a sunny area and it is a MUST to use sunblock with this product.
Bottom line I'm 26, suffered from mild acne growing up, recently had a sever bout of acne due to using products with salicic acid and not using sunblock.

I say i'M goin to try this consistantly for atleast two weeks. Its no wonder we have to find out about natural remedies, because these big companies wouldn't make any money if we knew about them. It appears my recent acne scars that were red and not healing is doing just that. also cystic acne that was not clearing up, is starting to decrease in size and redness. always a plus! More confident.

I am so excited about the health benefit of lemons I am doing the master cleanse fast for mental clarity, to rid my body and colon of toxics that I am sure affect my skin. I am not recommending this as it is an extreme fast. if you chose to do this however, keep in mind about the 3rd day on this fast your skin will break out slightly more due to the glycerol oils that come out through your skin.
