Pros:Evened out skin tone, softer skin, natural glow, dreaded PIH (post inflammatory hyperpigmentation) under control, incredibly cheap... what's not to love about lemons?!
Cons:BURNS! Only for the first few minutes though. Don't be a wimp and wash it off.
Bottom Line:Okay, well I'm 16 and I have had acne since I was about 10. I remember getting a pimple smack dab in the middle of my forehead and having my mom pop it for me. I figured that it wasn't a big deal, and it truly wasn't.. until a couple of years later. Suddenly the amount of acne started to increase.. more and more pimples showed up on my forehead, then they spread to my cheeks, chin, and temples. I can't count how many times I've cried over acne. I was a pimple popper, which resulted in the red marks. I still lament the fact that I popped my pimples. Acne is a b*tch. I have spent so much $$ on it and it is the absolute worst. I finally went to a derm. and was prescribed some oral antibiotics and a topical lotion (klaron). It's only been the first month, so I haven't seen any drastic changes. However, with the lemons, I have been applying the juice onto my face for the past 2 nights. My skin's texture has improved, I have seen small improvements but I'm hopeful, since it's only been 2 nig

Pros:Really reduces acne and scars, leaves skin soft and glowing.
Cons:You burn really quickly if you go out into the sun and it stinds sometimes.
Bottom Line:I now have really clear skin and don't need to use as much makeup any more. It is the first thing that has ever done the job properly and it is really cheap!!!

Pros:Helps to reduce acne. Helps to lighten scars.
Cons:Needs to be left on for at least 2 hours to be effective. Dries out skin. Turns skin red after prolonged use.
Bottom Line:After trying out many products and several ways of applying lemon juice, I finally found a technique that works. The best way is to take a lemon and cut it into quarters. Take one piece and gently rub it all over your face, squeezing the juice out with your fingers as you go. Avoid applying on lips as it can sting and cause chapping. Apply enough juice that it starts to drip. Wait 2 to 2.5 hours (I find that less than 2 hours doesn't effectively lighten scars and more than 2.5 hours turns my face red). Rinse with water. Since lemon juice is drying to the skin, I recommend using facial cleanser only once a day (I like using Clean & Clean Deep Pore Cleanser). I noticed that when I first started using lemon juice a couple of weeks ago I was also using a facial cleanser with benzoyl peroxide. During that time, my face stung severely for 10-15 minutes after applying the juice. I stopped using lemons for a couple of weeks, and when I restarted again I also changed facial cleanser. This time

Pros:Easy to get, Cheap, You can take it anywhere if you travel, Natural, Makes your skin very soft, Reduces redness in matter of minutes, new acne lasts for much less and appears less, skin looks bright
Cons:Is itchy and stings the first 2 min (but come on, its only 2 min!). DO NOT EXPOSE TO DIRECT SUN LIGHT... it can stain your skin, hair, cloth, so be careful on that one.
It dries if you dont moisturize properlly
Bottom Line:I have been using lemon for about a month and is the best thing I´ve tryed. It made my skin look much better, fair and glowy, and It looks like its fading some old scars again. Before I use to have a cycle of 3 or 4 major whiteheads present all the time, rotating with new ones when the old ones left... now I have maybe one, and some days none. The only problem is the scars, but they are much less noticeable because the lemon seams to have sort of a whitening effect. Like any acid it ´´burns´´ the superficial layer of your skin giving step to a new one, so i guess eventually it will get to the old scars, but, d***! is so much worth a try, so cheap and natural, 1 dollar for a bag for two weeks??? beat that!
BTW im a cabin crew and I use it all the time, I can take it on the trips with me or ask any hotel kitchen for one.... ideal.
After hot shower in the night apply inmediatelly and leave overnight. Dillute if you feel like with water.

Pros:Affordable, soft skin, fades scars ?
Cons:Stings a bit.
Bottom Line:I have been using lemons for the past 4 days, and I'm not sure if it's actually working or not. Believe it or not, it actually made me break out a little. But I think I should give this a try and stick with it longer. It can't hurt to try right?
