Pros - Lightens scars
- Acidity can dry up some scabs and popped pimples
- Somewhat soft skin
- Little to no smell
- Low priced
Cons - The burning
- Stinging if you have open wounds on your face
- The pulp can be a little annoying to pick out of your hair
Bottom line I actually heard about the use of lemons from this website. After testing things for myself, I found that the issue with my face was not mainly acne but scars (I tend to pick and pop mindlessly).

I used the lemons for two days so far, once in the morning and once at night, and already I see some balance in skin tone and, finally, some scars are lightening! Despite this, I still purchase some acne products.

My method is to cut a semi-thick slice of lemon and just rub it on for 5 minutes and (try to) leave it on for 5 more minutes. Then just wash off. You can put the rest of the lemon in a baggie or wrap it up and stick it in the fridge.

Things to know:
1.) A lemon is acidic: a pH of 2 to 3. So be careful to not get any of the juice or rub it accidentally over your eye. If you do, rinse with cold water until you feel fine.

2.) This product is going to burn. The pH above just tells you that. So be prepared for burning or stinging in the spots you choose to rub. The intensity ranges from person to person.

Overall, it is a nice product to give a try to.

-clears skin
-apply with Q-tip and leave it on your skin for 20 mintues
-smells GREAT
-very refreshing!
Cons -makes your skin feel tight for the first 10 mintues
Bottom line I've gone to the dermatologist and an esthetisian for my skin. i've gotten chemical peels and taken tons of topical treatments for acne. I still remain with bad acne from hormones.. So i decided to take the natural route! I decided to give lemons a chance! it was easy and quick, at first when i set it on my skin i saw nooo results, then an hour later (now) my skin isn't irritated looking, and my pimples look healthy. this is only after the VERY FIRST USE!!!! oh my god i am so excited to use this and the tea tree oil.
THANK-YOU NATURE. THANK-YOUUUUUUU!!!!

Pros -smells great
-leaves skin feeling clean
-no artificial chemicals
-all natural (obviously)
-lightens any scarring
Cons -stings a smidge when you first put it on, but no big deal
Bottom line I <3 LEMONS. Seriously. One of the most effective methods I have used so far. I've tried Proactiv, I've had prescription topical stuff, you name it. I've only been using this for three days now and I can already notice a significant difference in my skin. The purple-ish spots left over from particularly ornery zits are lighter, existing acne has lessened, I haven't had any new spots, nothing. My overall skin tone has improved as well. Highly, highly recommend giving this a shot.

How I do it is cut up a lemon into 4 sections, take one of the sections and rub it around my face, take another one of the sections and squeeze it into a cup of water to drink (refreshing and good for you), and store the remaining two sections. I usually do this in the afternoon.

Bottom line: Lemons are your friend! Use them. Love them.

Pros acne/acne scars disappears
evens skin tone a bit
smells good
natural cleanser
soft skin
Cons when it dries, its hard to stretch your face
Bottom line I AM IN LUV WITH THE LEMON! Instead of people buying all these expensive products, they should go to their natural resource, the lemon. Before I sleep I rinse my face with cold water, then using a cotton ball i circulate lemon juice on my face. For a better result, I let it sit there and dry up, then sleep with it on my face. I am going to try to keep this routine in my blood, cuz this is a good method to use to have that clear, supple face i've always wanted. :D

Pros -Clears up acne
-Tones
-Smells nice compared to other natural remedies.
-Easy to make and use
-Cheap!
Cons -Itches!!
-It burns like crazy
-A lil sticky
Bottom line I used this last night and I am very satisfied with my results. I found that limes work just as well as lemons but limes have less acid. Which can be a good thing if you dont want your face to sting too much. Right now Im trying some freshly squeezed lemon juice with some olive oil. I put it on my face and it does not itch at all, and the burning isnt very bothersome. I have tried so many natural remedies including urine therapy... Which I stopped using after I found this. My skin is getting VERY clear after this regimen:

*Night*
-Cleanse with clean and clear 3 in 1 foaming face wash and Clean and clear advantage clenaser (10% BP)
-Scrub cleanser on with an eletric toothbrush (Try an eletric toothbrush for your skin it does wonders)
-Put on lemon and olive oil mixture

*Morning*
-Cleanse with Clean and clear 3 in 1 foaming face wash and clean and clear morning burst.
-Leave lemon juice on for 15 mins then wash off
-Moisturize with clean and clear morning glow.

(As you can see I love Clean and Clear products :P)

Try this!!! You dont have to spend tons of money on a bunch of chemical products that dont even work!!

Pros Natural--(no boogeyman chemicals)
Nourishing--vitamin C, fruit acids, etc.
Cheap
Powerful!
Cons Fussy--have to fresh sqeeze and keep it in the fridge
Cold on application
sometimes sticky
itches for a while
Bottom line After years of researching and being a guinea pig to so many costly and ineffective acne "cures", this has been a major breakthrough. I wish I'd tried this fifteen years ago. Because of other health problems, I've been trying to avoid harsh artificial chemicals, and whaddayaknow, the thing that finally works is the most natural out there. Unlike most other reviewers, I leave the lemon juice on, applying after my morning shower and again after washing at night--I live in the desert, and it seems to keep an ideal moisture barrier in addition to its acne slaying benefits. (I've been careful to keep out of the sun, though.) I slather it on my face and over my back, which itches like the dickens! But it has calmed all the gross little bumps and blackheads and prevented the larger bombshells that have plagued my complexion for years I think its essential to have relatively fresh juice--I'm sure its a cocktail of enzymes and vitamins that are available in the fresh fruit, and I use organic lemons, and drink lemon water as well, which is cleansing and alkalizing for the body. Several times a week I do a kefir yogurt mask, which leaves me silky and glowing, and also a dissolved aspirin mask--super cleansing! My skin is now smooth and beautiful, save for some scars which very well may be nourished out of existence with this regimen! And all from stuff that I can eat! Do yorself a favor and try it! Leave it on for as long as it feels right--everyone is different--this is about treating your body well, not extending the torture as so many acne products do. When it comes to skin--Lemons are sweet!

Pros -Cheap
-Natural
-Effective
Cons -Can be sorta itchy if you put to much on.
-The clerk at the store asking what your going to do with 5 lemons.
-Sneaking into the bathroom with a knife and a lemon.
Bottom line Its a shame that more people don't know about this method for getting rid of acne marks. I had pretty bad acne when i was a freshmen, Im now a sophomore and my acne has calmed down considerably. Not because of the lemon. i had to see a doctor for that. The lemon juice ive been putting on my face seems to be working really good. and its only been about a week and a half. so im really expecting some fantastic results over the next two months.

What i do is cut a portion of the lemon off and squeeze the juice out into a small cup. then use some cotton squares, or pads with the juice. I wipe that all over my face and leave it on for 15 minutes. then wash it off. i do this morning and night. I also use the philosophy micro massage exfoliating wash (the microdelivery) I dont watch QVC i swear. /:
