Pros - Shrinks pores
- Decreases amount of oil on the skin
- Lightens complexion
- Removes nearly all types of acne
- Lightens scarring
- Glowing skin!!
Cons - Itches and/or burns for the first few weeks
Bottom line I have had pretty bad acne for a few years now, lowering my self esteem. I didn't want to look in the mirror, looking at my acne would put me in a bad mood. Yes, I tried all the commercial acne cleansers like Clearasil and all those. They don't work, they companies just want money, they don't care about your acne. My friend told me about the lemon treatment, which of course was natural. I put some lemon juice on a cotton ball and applied it on my face after I showered. It itched a lot, but it's nothing to cry over. When I awoke the next morning, My face was so much softer and less oily then it had been in years. I couldn't believe it. I looked in the mirror and my acne hadn't changed much, but the dark red acne scars were already fading. I repeated the process for about 2 weeks, and I began to see major differences in the actual acne. My whole face was smooth, with the exception of a few little whiteheads. Now after months of use, I hardly have acne, I still do breakout sometimes, but it's so much better than before. I have written a lot because I'm just excited and happy with life right now. I don't have acne any more, and when I do breakout. it seems the lemon juice kills the pimples and heals the scarring in less than 3 days and then I'm clear for a while. Seriously try it.

Pros - Cheap,
- Easy to use,
- IT WORKS,
- Fades scars,
- Helps you treat your pimples quickly.
Cons - Stings a little
- Can be itchy sometimes
Bottom line To be honest I used to have horrible big pimples on my face and used to pop them as well which sounds unpleasant I know. Then I decided to try out some of the acne products that had benzoyl peroxide(BP), i used panoxyl treatment cream with 10% BP and face wash with 10% BP.. they worked for like a month then my acne just got worse as soon i stopped using it. So I looked for home remedies that had no side effects and after researching for couple of hours i saw that loads of people were recommending to drink lemon juice or apply it on the face. I've been using it now for about a month and half and must say the result is just spectacular. my skin was alot bumpy but now its almost not bumpy at all. I'm very impressed with this home remedy. Its not a 24 hour solution if you have big pimples its all about just being patient. I'll continue to use this for couple of months and hopefully my skin will be fully clear. I'll write a review again in couple of months time :)

Conclusion/Bottom Line: Who needs all the acne treatment crap when you have lemons! :)

Pros -Reduces the amount of oil in skin
-Drastically vanish acne, blemishes and scars
-Skin gets a great glow
-So inexpensive
-Easy and quickly to use
-Fades out red zones
-Lightens up skin colour
-Helps for an uniform skin tone
Cons -Burns and stings a little bit
-You need to apply sunblock on your face if you don't want your skin to get darker spots caused by sun exposition
Bottom line Lemon is not a definitive solution to acne. It is going to reduce it drastically and surely will work.
It burns at first but, let's face it, there are a lot of other products for skin that burn and don't feel quite good, so this shouldn't be a matter thing. I have also noticed that it burns overall in face zones where your skin is oilier or acne tends to appear more often.
Lemon is ideal when you think you have tried it out everything and nothing works on you.
Thanks to this acid, your sebaceous follicles are dried so sebum is going to be produced much less.
To use it, just squeeze a lemon and apply the juice with a cotton ball.
First time is going to burn and itch but the next applications shouldn't feel this bad.

Totally recommended

Pros Great Complexion
Skin is glowing
Dries out your skin in a good way
fades Scars
and shrinks pimples/dries them out
and makes you feel more confident!
Cons It stings at first, then it goes away.
Bottom line I never thought something so simple and natural could actually work. I have been battling with acne since i can remember and tried BP for a while and clindamycin and it worked wonders for about year then stopped working. I was put on tetracycline and it did nothing for me. Just when i thought nothing could work I decided to cut a lemon up and rub it directly onto my face. I started noticing results THE DAY AFTER i was getting compliments on my skin also. I LOVE LEMONS!!! I recommend applying lemon directly onto your face for best results. TRY THIS YOU WONT REGRET IT!!!

Pros *inexpensive
*diminishes old acne scars
*works like an astringent
Cons *itches like crazy when applied (but only for a few minutes)
Bottom line It has worked wonders for my face so far. I haven't been this comfortable with my skin in a long time! I use lemons ever other day at night time. To make it easier for those who want to try it, I recommend cutting a small section of the lemon and squeezing the juice into a cup, dip a cotton ball and apply to a clean face. Endure the itching for a few minutes and that's it! Fresh face in the morning!!!

I also use BP when I don't do the lemon treatment (every other day). The BP treat the acne and the lemons treat the acne scarring. Will post again soon.

Pros Clears both acne and blackheads
Smells good
Shrinks pores
Leaves skin soft
cheap
quick
Cons itches like mad the first time you put it on
skin is a bit more sensitive to sunlight
Bottom line Since I was eleven I have had acne. Moderate acne that wouldn't go away no matter what products I used (most actually irritated it more) or the products would work for a mere few months.
For the last few years I have worked at a fast food restaurant which is murder on the skin. A few months back, my skin began to break out worse than ever before. So in desperation I searched through the internet for a home remedy as a last resort. Really, it should have been my first resort. My face which was red in many places from acne scars is its proper colouration again and glowing. There are no more large boils under my skin. My blackheads have not improved that much, but I attribute that to my workplace. (I took a week off to study and all of a sudden they were almost completely gone. Came back when I went back to work)

It works very well when you use hot soapy water on your face beforehand.

Just a warning though. Don't put just straight lemon juice on your face. It is not good for it. You have to remember that this is also a very strong acid. It must be diluted with water first before you put it on your face.

The way that I did it was just to soak a cotton ball with water first before I put a few drops of lemon juice on it

You will start to see improvement with in about two to three days.

This university student is happy for the cheapness as well compared to the old acne products she used to buy!
