| Pros: | It works and there really are no side effects for me...I've never noticed dryer than usual skin as others who have posted here, but then I use a high-end moisturizer at least once a day. |
| Cons: | It can sting/tingle and if you stop using it for an extended period of time, your skin trouble comes back. |
| Bottom Line: | Use this.
Give it two or three weeks.
Seriously -- there isn't much out there that is as reliable.
If I get them as they are just flaring up, they are gone within two or three days--be patient when you are first starting out, though. I think it took about three weeks for me. |

| Pros: | smells good, natural, WORKS BETTER then mederma, murad, or anything i've tried like it. cheap price, |
| Cons: | dries out skin a little but just use some good moisturizer. besides that I love it |
| Bottom Line: | Im 19 yrs old. I never had acne in high school but within the last year I started getting lots of acne on my chin and around the lower parts of my cheeks. It was making me really upset cause I have always been used to having glowing skin that i didn't need to cover up with make up so needless to say I have tried everything from proactiv, to using clean towel every time i dry my face, lots of other acne creams, masks, scrubs, cleansers. oil free everything etc.
.... BUT NOTHING WORKS as well as lemons do. its amazing, something so simple, pure and cheap could fade redness so well and even prevent pimples from forming. I have been putting lemon juice on my face every night after washing it with a benzoyl peroxide wash, and I have yet to get another breakout in this past week and a half, and the red marks are fading fast, I LOVE IT!
so oh oh oh good :) |

| Pros: | It smoothes, brightens, tightens and clears your face. Acne scars are left minimal or not visible and pores are noticeably reduced. It also removes excess oil on the face and works as a toner as well! |
| Cons: | It itches for the first 30 seconds, stings for about 1-3 mins (depending on the person and their tolerance to pain, and how much is applieed) and leaves the face feeling tight (this may be seen as a pro aswell) stings on fresh spots and eye area. |
| Bottom Line: | I gave it a 4 because it stings and does not clear all spots
At night, I use my face wash scrub etc. and then instead of using my toner I apply half a lemon to my face. I do so by cutting a whole lemon in half, and gently rubbing the lemon all over my face (even in the non-affected areas) and squeezing when I run out of juice. If i do use my toner it will only be to remove any extra dirt my cleanser and scrub may have missed but I rely on the lemon to do my toners previous job of tightening my face, reducing pore size etc.
In the morning I wake up and wash my face with my facewash (this process also helps remove the lemon juice as well as the nights dirt) and then I tone and moisturize. If I am planning on staying in that day or am not going out till later on then I will once again repeat the lemon juice application. I apply the lemon juice whenever possible i.e. straight after school, after any sports or activities, if i've been in the garden etc

| Pros: | Has the ability to bleach skin thus lighten acne scars. Gives skin a glow. Cheap, easy to put on. |
| Cons: | Slight burn |
| Bottom Line: | I have clear skin on most of my face with the exception of my forehead. I have over 10 pimples/scars on my forehead alone! I tried mederma, toothpaste, you name it, none of it has worked. So someone told me about using lemons as an astrigent. I decided to give it a try, I've only used this for 2 nights so far and it does to an extent lighten scars but i think it should take a week or two for more visible changes. I will continue to use it as a spot treatment on my bumps and scars. I leave it on overnight and apply it with a cutip. I did get 1 new pimple however in the last 2 nights so i dont know if it was the lemon that caused it or just my skin getting more pimples on it own. Nevertheless if you have scars and blemishes putting some juice on them is worth a shot. I will come back with an update in about a week. |

| Pros: | Smells nice, cleanses your skin, burns away acne, lightens your skin (this could be seen as a con, however), leaves your skin smooth, easy to get, completely natural, tasty if you get it in your mouth, leaves your skin feeling clean, and much more. |
| Cons: | Makes your skin lighter (this can be seen as a pro, as well), stings, may dry your skin, may make your skin peel if you use too much on an area with no acne. |
| Bottom Line: | This is wonderful. I don't use any acne creams or washes. Just lemons. I am so happy! Now I don't have to worry about acne, and can walk around proudly with my skin looking and feeling great!
Amazing! |

| Pros: | Clearer skin, helps fade red marks after using consistently and for a long time, smells fresh, is natural and easy to use. You can use freshly cut slices or the bottled juice! |
| Cons: | Burns at first but after using for awhile it's not as noticeable. You need to be consistent and use it daily for measurable results. |
| Bottom Line: | When I was growing up breakouts for me were pretty rare, with only a blemish here and there. That all changed a couple years ago when mostly my cheeks started breaking out. I had no idea why! I tried just about everything: wearing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to bed at night, drinking more water, monitoring my nutrition, washing my pillowcases and bedding, face masks, herbal treatments, changing my face wash, switching foundation brands, I stopped wearing blush, cleaned makeup brushes, tried Proactiv, etc.
Last October I was really getting depressed knowing my wedding was 8 months away and my skin looking the way it did. I also hated the red marks that were all over my cheeks which made them look even worse. I then started washing my skin with lemon juice after removing my makeup using a regular face wash. Now, 6 months later, the marks have really faded and my skin is finally clear again! I can now be confident on my wedding day knowing that my pictures will show the real |
