| Pros | Super cheap Natural (always a plus) Great smell |
|---|---|
| Cons | Stings a bit, but its not terrible. |
| Bottom line | I've just started this treatment yesterday amd I already love it. My skin type is combination and its the worst to try and find something that works. I've been using the egg white facial mask once a month for a few months now and its greatbut I found it makes my skin too dry, even with moisturizers. My skin is naturally tan, and pimples arent too alarming to me. The dreaded scars I get after are what kills me. I've tried just about everything to fade them but they barely work. I've read all of y'alls reviews and decided this might work. After the first time I used it, I could already see a difference. I was so excited, like you couldnt believe. My scars are mainly around my jaw line and chin. I took some natural lemon juice and put it on a cotton pad. It stung, but only for a few seconds (I guess I have a high tolerance of pain) and I left it on for 10 minutes. When I rinsed it off, I could see that my skin was exceptionally brighter. Even my sister noticed. I cannot wait til it works even more. I'll be patient. Bottom line, USE IT. The stinging may vary for different people, but I promise Its nothin to cry over. |

| Pros | makes skin soft and tight lights up the skin tone fades scars through time very good for whiteheads and blackheads |
|---|---|
| Cons | -does not work on severe acne or highly inflamed acne or cystic acne. -Its a bit itchy and painful at first -sometimes can irritate acne more |
| Bottom line | i think its only for light or moderate acne. I've used it when i had a severe breakout and it did nothing. if anything, it made my spots worse. redder and more irritated. you should not use concentrated lemon juice if skin is sensitive. *i use lemon juice as sort of face wash. i rub it like soap on skin and wash it off with cold water. and then dab a few drops on spots and scars. its great if mixed with olive oil for as moisturizer for dark underarms and elbows. diluted with a bit of water or green tea should be a good toner. ( i havent tried the green tea though. should be worth it). bottomline is, it mostly works for most people but if it fails for you, at least it does not damage your skin thoroughly like the usual harsh face wash products out there. |

| Pros | easy application leaves skin feeling tight/glowing/clean clears scarring heals raw/red/painful blemishes shrinks pores no new break outs! cheap! NATURAL! |
|---|---|
| Cons | slight itching minor stinging on raw blemishes |
| Bottom line | having acne is really the pits, i've had clear skin all my life up until my early twenties when i developed cystic acne. i've tried many otc, all natural and rx products in the past. after much frustration and many tears i finally called the derm and i was put on ziana gel (drying!!), clindamycin solution and nicazel tablets. i have very sensitive skin and my blemishes were primarily on my t-zone. to my dismay these prescriptions were very harsh. in desperation i began reading reviews on other remedies, i'd be kicking myself if i didn't give the lemon juice a try. i've been using it for a week, morning and before bed, sometimes midday. it is SO gentle and has amazing exfoliating properties! it also acts as an antiseptic to help kill bacteria and heal. after washing my face with cetaphil cleanser i squeeze some concentrated lemon juice on a cotton ball, primarily focusing on blemishes. i find that the concentrated juice is easier to use, zero mess. i let it sit for a few minutes and apply cetaphil moisturizer and make up over it. i am also still taking the nicazel in conjunction with it. it isn't an instant fix, but in the week i have been using it, i have seen DRAMATIC results. my skin has a soft glow and my blemishes are less red and have shrunk to almost nothing. although i still have some scarring, my face has almost made a total 180. this has really given me the confidence boost i needed. a must try, you will not be disappointed...and don't give up! it gets better :) |

| Pros | works fast cheap reduces pore size evens texture and redness |
|---|---|
| Cons | does not reduce size of blemishes stings... alot |
| Bottom line | I have only been using this product for about a week now (daily) and i have noticed a huge improvement in my skins texture as well as usual redness. I apply it before bed with a cotton pad; only using a fresh lemon... not lemon juice from concentrate. It stings, like a lot but i find it to be worth it. I wake up and my pores look 10x smaller and my skin feels like it's glowing!! However it did not reduce size of current blemishes. NOTHING EVER WORKS FOR ME. I would reccomend it for moderate acne as i have, you must have high pain tollerance haha. Hope this helps :) hang in there! |

| Pros | Makes skin smoother. Makes skin glow, good colour. Relieves severity of acne scarring right down, red colour fades. Both the general colour of an almost 'rash' like scar that I have and the individual dots. Smells gooood. |
|---|---|
| Cons | None. |
| Bottom line | I've basically just been on a course of the drug Roaccutane, a strong dose over 6 months. So I can only really comment on scars because I don't have acne anymore. I've know just got some scarring around my mouth and chin and all of my acne is totally gone and i haven't had an outbreak in over 3 months. The lemon juice has totally got rid of all redness and rather than a mask of horrible redness/brownness from old scars it's a faded dull colour and it's worked amazing after just like, 5 days. Would so recommend it. I'm gonna keep this going until its hopefully almost totally gone. |

| Pros | I didn't like it at all |
|---|---|
| Cons | - Stings - Sticky - Didn't actually make any diffirence |
| Bottom line | I probably didn't stick with it long enough, but the amount of stinging I experienced just wasn't worth it. I started applying it to help fade my acne scars, but quit after a month of burning itchy skin with every application. I didn't break out, nor did I suffer any nasty effects other than while the lemon juice was actually on my skin. In the end I just waited for the scarring to dissapear by itself. |

| Pros | -brightens complexion -clears acne -smooths skin |
|---|---|
| Cons | -works slowly -messy, stings |
| Bottom line | Yes, I would totally recommend this. In 7th grade, I had the worst acne, and in desperation (and having nothing else left to try), I applied lemon juice to my face everyday for a month. After that month my skin was completely clear and GLOWING. It was absolutely ridiculous and I thought I was dreaming! I eventually stopped despite these results because it was messy and tiring the way i applied it. However, I'm going to start again, a few years later, because these days, I'm breaking out like crazy. If you do this, don't expect an overnight miracle. There are none. It works slowly, but it LASTS, which is wonderful. Be patient, and hang in there! Picking and panicking over your acne will not clear it up! |

| Pros | -Really clears cystic scars! -Cheap |
|---|---|
| Cons | -If you use an actual lemon and not the separately contained juice, then you get a bunch of the lemon things(lol?) on your face. -Didn't notice a difference in the amount of breakouts(though I wasn't using it for this anyways). |
| Bottom line | I had this bad patch of cystic scars that were so red it looked like active pimples, tried this and literally within a week it was a noticeable difference. It doesn't completely remove it but it does considerably fade it. I always do it at night, usually every other day or something but I don't have a set schedule, here's how I do it: -Wash my face with a cleanser -Wait 5 min for the cleanser to dry -Gently let the lemon glide across my face, if it's a middle piece then I use one side for one half of my face and the other side of the lemon for the other half of my face. If I have two side pieces left then I'll just use both and do the same as above. -Let it dry for 10-20min -Wash it off with warm water -Wait about 5 min -Apply a lotion |
