| Pros | Clears redness Drys up acne making less noticeable Tightens skin |
|---|---|
| Cons | Stings |
| Bottom line | I have been using it for 3-4 days now twice a day and after the first day I was already seeing results. I use it in the morning and at night. I not only use lemons but before o use the lemon juice I gently wash my face with st Ives apricot scrub this helps so much I find if you wear makeup alot as to which I do it helps to get down deep under your pores and bring it up allowing it all to be clears from your skin and the lemon juice helps to close you pores making sure nothing gets in ..I highly recommend both :) |

| Pros | Lightens Acne Scars Prevents Future Breakouts |
|---|---|
| Cons | Stings |
| Bottom line | Who wouldve thought! I tried everything to get rid of my acne scars including mederma, but that make be break out. Now, lemons don't completely remove the scar, but it deff lightens it! It didnt help get rid of any active pimples but i noticed it helped prevent (a little) I wouldn't consider it an acne treatment though, it just helps get rid of acne scars, or any scars for that matter! :) definitely worth a shot! |

| Pros | -control oil very will, after a couple of days you don't need to wash your face more than 2 times. -clean and fresh skin -lights up the skin tone |
|---|---|
| Cons | until now none. |
| Bottom line | I tried many medicine, but nothing work effectively.I even use the mesotherapy.. after I read reviews here decide to give it a try. when I wake up I clean my face with soap then I use half of lemon on my face directly just squeeze lemon on my skin and leave it for 10 mins, then wash my face with water and I use little piece of ice, rub it over my face to stop the stinging and to close the pores, and repeat that at night. I don't use medicine anymore. I highly recommended that if you've oily skin it takes you couple of days then you feel the change, I don't think it suitable for sensitive skin. |

| Pros | Helped reduce acne scars Cleared up pimples Tightens pores |
|---|---|
| Cons | Stings |
| Bottom line | It's obviously been said a lot on here, but this worked pretty well for me. I had never heard of this, and it is such a simple and easy solution. I apply fresh lemon juice to my face using a cotton ball and leave it on for 10-20 minutes before washing it off and moisturizing. My skin looks way better, and I'm so glad I looked on here before buying an expensive treatment. I haven't noticed it lightening my skin tone, but I'm already pale, so I can't go that much lighter. Give it a shot, you've got nothing to lose! |

| Pros | skin clears up fast evens your skin tone fades scars very quickly shrinks pores cheap natural |
|---|---|
| Cons | stings (naturally) bit messy (if you need to put it on your back) |
| Bottom line | I tried Differin, BP, loads of different facial washes, couple of pharmacy sold topical creams, pills (not roccutane). All that could keep my skin semi clear was benzoyl peroxide but it gave me strange red patches around my mouth even though i didn't apply it there. So I was reading reviews here and came across lemon juice reviews and decided to give it a try. It was great from the start. I ditched my nightly BP applications and started using lemon juice. One day I couldn't find anything in my fridge and didn't bother to go buy some lemons at the store. Previous night my regular face wash finished. It was simple non fancy nivea wash for combination skin. I bought neutrogena acne wash with salicylic acid. In combination with lemon the next night it gave me redness so I ditched the lemon. But later I learned a valuable lesson - salicylic acid only makes my acne worse. And my old wash used with lemon juice gives me great results. I love BP but I hate those red patches around my mouth. So now I'm back to my old trusted nivea wash and lemon juice. It slowly improves because few days ago I had an awful whole face break out I didn't get since age of 14. So bottom line, start mild, lemon juice on your skin for 10-15 mins then you can leave it on for the whole night and even use it in the morning. |

| Pros | - cleared up pimples -made my skin pretty -cheep |
|---|---|
| Cons | well for me there were none. I guess if your a big baby you may complain about the slight stinging that may occur |
| Bottom line | I cleaned my face at night with a scrub, then applied the lemon juice with a cotton ball. After three day the hard under the skin pimple I had cleared up. After about a month of doing this every night, and along with my vitamin B, my face has cleared right up. |

| Pros | -Leaves skin feeling tight -Reduces redness visibly and quickly |
|---|---|
| Cons | -Stings on application (worth it) -Doesn't prevent new acne |
| Bottom line | I've had moderate acne for 4 years, and am currently entering my senior year of college. I am DESPERATE for clear skin, and finally decided to try home remedies as a last ditch attempt. (I have tried several perscription cleansers, lotions, spot treatments, birth control, and even a 500mg antibiotic called Ampicillin. None of it worked!) I have been applying lemon juice twice daily for a week. I began seeing results after day 1, but wanted to wait to post a little longer to make *sure* I was seeing results. So far: I'm seeing great results! My skin feels tighter, and for the first time in years I feel like I can see my real skin glowing under the red discolorations. I don't think this is a lasting solution (the lemon juice will likely dry out my skin in cold weather) but I believe that if I keep applying 2x daily for another couple weeks the redness I currently have will abate. I have had some new spots appear since I started applying, so this isn't helping prevent new acne for me... However, it's working wonders with the redness, so any readers with discolorations and red marks: try this!! It's cheap, it leaves your skin feeling great, and it works. Highly recommended. |

| Pros | Great Scent Inexpensive Readily Available Tasty! Mmm... |
|---|---|
| Cons | Stings Beware the pulp! |
| Bottom line | I don't recommend leaving the pulp on your face. Strain it out before you apply. I think it clogged my pores and I ended up with little bumps all over my face! It stopped about three days after I quit using lemon. But heck yes it is effective against acne. Now I drink it instead and my skin is almost clear. |
