| Pros | it might have made skin a little smoother |
|---|---|
| Cons | it BURNS Haven't seen any improvement yet haven't see any fading of scars and marks haven't seen any improvement of acne |
| Bottom line | :( I read so many great things about this! But I got it (only) a few days ago so i don't realy expect to see results yet, but i didn't expect it to burn! I put it on the first night and it burned a little and made my eyes water. the next morning didn't feel so bad and i mixed it with Ponds cream and waited for it to soak in and then put my makeup over it. It looked fine, better then usual! so i was getting excited about it! But then tonight I put some on a cotton ball and put it on again and it burrrnnneedddd so to try to soothe my skin i put Ponds over it. That made it horribly worse. so i hurriedly went a washed it off. but my skin was all red and gross so i put more Ponds cream on to sooth it a little and then put a tiny tiny bit of lavender oil over it. it doesn't burn... i don't what's up with this. maybe don't mix it with stuff??? I dunno! ANYWAYS bottom line it burned my skin. and so far haven't seen any improvement but i'll keep doing it by putting cream on first and then later putting the lavender over it. hopefully i'll have perfect skin in a few weeks :P doubt it. PLLEASE WORK. (: I put yes to recommend, because i have so much hope for it to work. but i'll write another review in a few weeks... |

| Pros | Shortens breakouts, softens skin, relives redness |
|---|---|
| Cons | smell is very strong, stings if too much is applied |
| Bottom line | I've only used this for 3 days and already every one of my zits are gone. My chin breaks out big time but has completely cleared up. I wash my face in the morning with a natural product, apply the oil all over my face, then cover with moisturizer (helps smell dissapate faster) then at night I apply the oil right before bed. I am amazed! I will continue to use this, maybe only once a day from now on. |

| Pros | Smells good Not greasy |
|---|---|
| Cons | redness continous did not prevent pimples scars did not reduce |
| Bottom line | i have tried lavender oil for 3 weeks and i don't see any improvement. Maybe it works differently for individuals. My pimples still came out despite applying day.and night. I thought it can reduce scar marks, but honestly i did not see any marks lightened. It smells great though, making me sleep better at night |

| Pros | Non-greasy. Soaks into skin immediately. Soothing. Stops breakouts before they start. Relieves redness. 100% Natural |
|---|---|
| Cons | Some people may not like the smell; I do not mind it. |
| Bottom line | I love lavender oil. I recently started changing the products I use on my skin and going all natural, I thought it would make me break out, but it's instead made a HUGE improvement to the overall health of my skin. I bought my lavender at a whole foods co-op, it was on sale so I got .5 ml of it for about 8 dollars, usually it is 13. It is organic, and undiluted. I put it on my face undiluted directly after washing in the morning and before I go to bed at night. Avoid the eye area. I haven't had a single breakout since I've started using it, it's been just over a week. And the breakouts I did have are gone or so small they are essentially non-existant. I'd have to say though my favorite part of using this product is how my skin looks in the morning. I have scars and my skin usually looks dull and red when I wake up, since I've been using lavender oil it looks plump, clearer each day, with significantly less redness, and my pore size is much smaller. It may not work for you, however I'd really give it a chance. I'm 25 years old and it's taken me this long to figure out that all natural is the way to go. If you're young you can start now. |

| Pros | Cheap Effective Doesn't irritate skin Reduces redness and inflammation Non-greasy |
|---|---|
| Cons | Smell is fairly pungent, but in a nice way |
| Bottom line | My experience is that lavender oil is great for clearing up existing spots, preventing new ones, and reducing the redness of spots. It also apparently has a rejuventating effect on the skin which helps reduce acne scarring. I use it undiluted on my skin - this might not suit everyone, but you get the strongest effect this way. Be careful not to get it near your eyes as it can make them water. It has a cooling effect on the skin, and does not sting or irritate. Even though it is an oil, it is not greasy at all. In fact, my skin is left feeling like it did after washing - it sinks into the skin and leaves no trace. Otherwise you could use it neat on spots, and just mix a drop with your regular moisturiser. The best thing about lavender oil is that compared to other acne treatments, my spots don't flare up before they clear up. Half the problem with acne is just how red the spots are - if you can reduce the redness they are a lot less visible. And unlike other treatments, there has been no dryness or flakiness. 100% natural and highly recommended! |

| Pros | Smells good, and goes on smooth |
|---|---|
| Cons | made my skin breakout |
| Bottom line | Seriously guys make sure that you try this on your jawbone or somewhere that isn't as noticeable first, instead of your cheeks or forehead. I tried Lavender Oil mixed with Olive Oil (on my jawbone) and it made a bunch of little bumps come up, I immediately washed it off with cold water and put Aloe Vera Gel on it. It went away shortly after. Since everyone's skin is different, I do not think it is a good idea to try Lavender Oil without testing on your skin first to see how it reacts. |

| Pros | natural, non purfume smell, fair priced, reduces post acne scars, doesn't dry skin. works |
|---|---|
| Cons | i wish it worked faster |
| Bottom line | TRY IT!! IT WORKS. I've been washing my face with cetaphil and baking soda for 10 seconds, then i almost fill the cap of the bottle to witch hazel ( with witch hazel) and add 2-3 drops of 100% lavender oil, i use it as a toner, then use a lotion. When i do this twice a day my face doesn't hurt, my acne eases away and my spots get smaller and fade. I have been doing this for 2 weeks now and i HAVE seen inprovements, though it takes time. I hate to drink water, try to drink 1 green tea a day ( no sugar), and i only eat 100% whole wheat bread. i hope that by my wedding ( in 10 months) my skin is clear. |

| Pros | * Cleared up all acne in one month * Calming smell * Affordable and natural ! |
|---|---|
| Cons | * Some would say smell only because it's potent, but I enjoy it ! * Virtually NONE |
| Bottom line | I never suffered from cystic acne my entire life until age 24/25. I would occasionally get a pimple/zit here or there in highschool the most at one time being maybe 4..? and that's probably because I had a horrible/no regimine for face washing. I am a very tidy, 'neat freak' like person so when I started to get acne in my mid 20's I was devistated. First I tried Tersaseptic as a wash and I found it too drying. I was using Clean and Clear "Oil Free" Dual Action Moisturizer and this combo showed no results. Second, I tried the Neutrogena Complete Acne Therapy System.. The moisterizer it came with I found left my skin filmy. I was also using Benzoil Peroxide 5%. I didn't really see results and my skin became very tender and flaky. I switched to 2.5% BP and didn't notice much difference. Third, I bought Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser which seemed to calm my skin, so that it was no longer sore, but I still had cysts that weren't wanting to dissipate. I started researching natural oils and their benefits for skin and health. I had purchased Rosemary oil originally to use in bath soaks for my circulation. I tried using some on my acne cysts and it seemed to be taking the inflamation down. I continued research on oils for acne and came across Clove Oil and Lavender oil. I used Clove Oil (1 drop to an oz of water) as a spot treatment. Now, Clove Oil BURNS quite bad, but it helped clear up the cysts within a week. Then I discovered the wonders of Lavender Oil(Brand: Aura Cacia 100% Pure Essential Oil) and Pure Aloe Vera liquid(Brand:Aubrey Organics). My routine for 1 month has now been: 1) Wash with Cetaphil for Oily Skin. Pat Dry. 2) Put a quarter size amount of Aloe Vera liquid with 1-2 drops of Lavender in palm, rub hands together and gentle rub on face. 3) I changed my moisterizer to Neutrogena Healthy Skin w/spf 15 My skin is completely cleared, and almost all of my scars have faded ! I recommend at least tryin |

| Pros | Nice smell, easy to find, not too expensive. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Really set my skin off. Made my acne much worse. |
| Bottom line | I won;t be using this again and will probably avoid products which have this as a main ingredient. It's a shame. I was looking forward to using this after reading reviews but it really did not suit my face. |
