| Pros | one small spot diminished on nose |
|---|---|
| Cons | acne worsened dramatically since treatment, new spots in places where i was clear before (cheek, side of face, jawline) |
| Bottom line | risky! it sounds like it works for other people, but it certainly made my skin worse. |

| Pros | I saw immediate results using the Fraxel laser. I noticed about a 30% reduction in my acne scarring after the first treatment. |
|---|---|
| Cons | The procedure itself was slightly painful. A few days after, my skin was red and dry. It's also quite expensive. |
| Bottom line | The Fraxel laser is amazing! I have moderate ice pick scarring on my cheeks that have not responded well to previous treatments. After the first treatment, I saw a dramatic reduction in my scars. I have only had one treatment, but have paid for five. |

| Pros | to the restaurant the day after |
|---|---|
| Cons | hope nothing |
| Bottom line | my girlfriend had first fraxel treatment 6 days ago. 24 hours after all scars were desappeared. After 2-3 days when skin returned to baseline colour, scars were still visible but I see macroscopic improvement. If results are like first treatment, after 4 planned treatments we hope to have the problem solved |

| Pros | Smoother skin appearance, less depression in acne scars |
|---|---|
| Cons | cant be seen for a day or 2, expensive |
| Bottom line | Had IPL and pixel laser 5 times now. The rolling scars are less indented because of the pixel but I dont think the IPL did much for the red spots. My skin is still scarred and down the road I would want to get another kind of treatment as technology advances but it does look somewhat better. |

| Pros | It works |
|---|---|
| Cons | only available in in LA and Europe |
| Bottom line | I heard about it from my doctor in Chicago. I made an appointmetn over the phone to fly to Los Angeles. I have olive skin so I was told there are not that many options for me. Glad to do it. It took 4 treatments but I have great skin now. I think most other procedures out there are scams. These guys know what they are doing. |

| Cons | hyperpigmentation & new lines and wrinkles, in addition to scarring and hypopigmentation from being burned by the laser |
| Bottom line | I made a serious mistake by going to a dermatologist that recommended Pulse Light Therapy when all I really needed was some light gycolic acid peels 20% that I could do at home. Turns out, the laser burned my skin so deep that it scarred me, left spots of hyperpigmentation AND I ended up with wrinkles around my eyes that I never had (I looked 5-7 yrs younger prior to the treatment). Boy I screwed-up and there is nothing that can be done now, but try to warn others before they make the same misktake. I thought because the person was a doctor they knew what they were doing. Truly, try less invasive techniques...I'm now doing glycolic acid peels twice a week. Sure wish I would have gone that route to begin with...I would have saved myself a lot of money, not to mention the tears and depression that resulted. |

| Pros | Not much, might work but it will take few procedures |
|---|---|
| Cons | Expensive, your face gonna look horrible for couple weeks (Forget the work or going out) and gonna be red for few months, almost no improvement |
| Bottom line | I got my skin resurfaced with an Active FX laser about a year ago. I thought that it will heal in 10 days, but it took way longer. There's almost no improvement in my skin and I wouldn't risk to do that again just because that it takes soooo long to heal and I don't want to have a red face again for few months. And it's very painful. |

| Pros | none |
|---|---|
| Cons | Caused triple size area of redness, hyperpigmentation and itchy flaky spots. |
| Bottom line | I am 5 weeks post laser resurfacing of 3 brown spots on my face. It looks so much worse, much bigger and because the laser went too deep, it will leave scars and i dont know if it will ever be gone. I am very upset and depressed and before, with a little concealer and foundation, no one even knew i had brown spots. Now, no matter how i try to cover it(the surface is uneven and flaky) it looks really bad so that i just cover it with bandaids to go out. I have tried aloe, vit E, mederma, 2% hydroquine creams, calendula, moisterizer, vaseline, on the spot and it doesnt change. |

| Pros | Helichrysum and other essential oils.Absolutely beautiful texture and tone, restored suppleness, kills all acne including cystic acne and improves acne scars |
|---|---|
| Cons | treatments need to be custom made for your own skin, but a little research and you can do that yourself. |
| Bottom line | At age 30, I broke out in terrible cystic acne. No treatments worked, no Dr.'s could fix it. In tears I turned to a holistic Dr. who told me to use 2-3 drops Lavender, rosemary and tea tree essential oils in a small spray bottle of distilled water. Cysts gone within 2 wks. Amazing! Cysts left some deep scars on my jawline and cheeks. I'm using helichrysum oil(in purest form) along with a custom combo for my aging skin(I'm 40) and what a miracle! You must do it everyday, at least 3 mos. for scars and wrinkles but beatiful results! I am going to have a swift lift done in a month and I believe that tightening up my loose skin will help incredibly with making the small but deeper scars disappear from my jawline and cheeks, but the helichrysum has already worked a miracle for my skin texture, tone and color. I am no longer embarassed to be seen without make up. My complexion is clear and my skin is as soft as a baby's bottom. Do some research and find the right oil combo for you. It works |

| Pros | Fraxel- 1 week, 1 day My pores are much smaller and the scars on my cheeks less noticeable. |
|---|---|
| Cons | They said "no down time". If you don't mind looking like a clown that may be true. I had it done on a Tuesday and by Friday, I had to call into work ugly. |
| Bottom line | $1000 per treatment... so it was expensive. It was very painful but quickly forgotten if you have good results. My most immediate concern was the scars on my cheek but my pores being a lot smaller was a nice bonus as well as wrinkles being diminished. The aloe cort cream they gave me did not agree with my skin at all. Aloe vera straight off the plant helped a lot more and stopped the burning. |
