| Pros: | Almost totally erased terrible acne scarring all over my face |
| Cons: | expensive and long down-time -- two weeks. It's surgery, you look horrible after, red, swollen, hideous. Perhaps it isn't the right thing for everyone, I don't know. |
| Bottom Line: | I can't understand how people can get the surface of their face blasted off and not see some significant improvement in scarring! But according to some of these posts, it happens. But it saved my life, it got rid of most of the scars except four really deep ones. It doesn't work for raised scars, as far as I know, and may make them worse. |

| Cons: | I've had 2 IPL treatments. It looks like the machine has left imprints on my skin, scars/lines along my face. My cosmetic surgeon is now sending me to a dermatoligist! It better not have left permanent scars on my face or I will sue!! |
| Bottom Line: | I am so scared how this will turn out & would never have done it if I knew this could happen. They said they've never seen this reaction before in their lives & possibly with treatment for the rosacea from the dermatoligist it will all heal!! I don't believe it!! |

| Pros: | The smoothness right after the swelling, which is fleeting of course. So enjoy it while it lasts! |
| Cons: | The most recent procedure after 10 yrs of skincare frustrations. The erbium laser, $5000 for nothing. I had it done in april of this year. I have talked to my dr. since and he seems insensitive about my distress. |
| Bottom Line: | My surgeon and his entire staff glorified the procedure. As soon as i let them know i was unhappy, they made me feel like one of those people who expect miracles in plastic surgery. I know i am not, i have had other surgeries in which i still enjoy the results. I guess my thoughts are that the procedure is too expensive for what results people seem to be getting. Scarring makes you self concious. And i think it is hard for people to understand that. I can think of many things to do with five grand, but the fact is when you have bad skin you will pay anything for improvement....and they know it. |

| Bottom Line: | For those with acne scars, I got rid of mine by putting Vitamin E on them every day. You have to do it for 6 months or more for it to work, but it totally got rid of any acne scars I had. I'd just open up capsules of Vitamin E and put on my face every night. I had fairly significant acne scars too. I did this about 5-10 years after getting the scars and it still worked. Results don't show up till at least 3 months or more, so don't expect anything immediately. |

| Pros: | Co2 laser resurfacing greatly diminished lines around my mouth. The healing was an 8 day nightmare, however, and more work needs to be done. I am investigating the Active FX laser now. Perhaps it can blast off another layer, and it works on the neck. |
| Cons: | It was expesnive and scary, due to the risk of infection that my surgeon constantly emphasized. |
| Bottom Line: | Once was enough with this type of procedure. I wish I had never smoked or sat in the sun! |

| Bottom Line: | I just want to let people out there who are still dealing with acne that there is an alternative to the remedies that they try and sell to you. Something I figured out on my own after years of pain is that dairy can cause acne. Yes, DAIRY. When ingested the hormones from dairy products can cause your oil glands to act up and produce acne. It took me a long tome to fully realize it, but I am now living dairy free and acne free at the same time. It was tough but worth it. Give it a shot if you are frustrated. It might be your inside and not your outside that you have to deal with. |

| Pros: | I just had a Profaxtional and a laser peel done. I am not sure of the results yet, I just fond this site. I am pretty much freeking out. |
| Cons: | I look like a monster..I don't know if I made the right decision, of course it is too late to
regret. |

| Pros: | Made my skin smoother, helped with sun damage, and fine lines |

| Bottom Line: | I am really confused! I know I live in small town Iowa, and I expect to pay a little less for these types of things, but come on! I am from Newport Beach Calif. so you can imagine how much I was expecting to pay for my deep erbrium laser resurfacing. To my complete surprise, it was only $300.00!!! The place I went to in Burlington Ia. was fantastic! They are up to date on everything and I was treated like a queen! Why is everyone else getting riped off? Think about it before you decide to spend thousands for the same thing I had done. I am due for my second of three treatments this month. Even though it hurts more than I thought, it was worth it.
