Pros: The procedure hasn't shown any results yet. It has only been 1 month since CO2 laser resurfacing. Cons: downtime, pain, redness. Bottom Line: I don't think I am seeing the kind of result that I had expected. My face is now blistering (water filled and blood) and breaking out. Doctor told me to put some cortisone on the blisters, but not helping yet. I will need to have Restylene injections done for the deep scars, so maybe that will help. Pros: nothing really. Cons: had 8 treatments done for 7000. 5 for smooth and small pores last 3 was fraxel.been 3 months and no result. Skin is sensitive and burns after medication, more acne appear and more scares. My skin is worst and it wasn't that bad to start with. Bottom Line: if your gonna do fraxel make sure your doctor is sure it's going to work and what to expect after. Don't do it if you know it's manageable. I regret doing it now because i'm left with more scares and uneven skin tone. Recommended: No Usage: mika has used this item for about a year. Pros: reduce hyperpigmentation and scars Cons: too expensive; afraid if the results are good Bottom Line: i had done yesterday. hope i will see good results on my neck and upper arms after my 4 treatments.200 per area x 3. i was told to undergo this procedure since i am asian-filipino. i am availing of the fotofacials but i might be getting more hyperpigmentation and scars with this kind of laser. Pros: I did see some improvement after my first co2 laser peel, six months later I had another and had horrible results. I started getting cystic ance, every pore on my faces was broken out and I have been battling acne ever since. Cons: Some results after the first co2 laser. It's been all downhill from there. I'm 32 and I still find myself taking antibiotics for acne. My skin was never this way before the laser peels. Bottom Line: I've had two co2 laser peels and 2 fraxel laser peels. After my second fraxel peel I've been continously fighting acne and my skin is blotchy. If you have ance scars try microdermabrasion first, I wish I would have. Pros: Cutera Pearl Laser: Smoother skin, scars less obvious, discoloration Cons: The 3 days of downtime, 20 minutes of pain, 90 minutes of face burning Bottom Line: I have moderate/severe acne scarring and had my first pearl treatment 3 weeks and the experience was positive. You should plan to home for 3 - 4 days. I am getting 2nd treatment in February Recommended: Yes Usage: Zoe has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: My skin is soft. Some blotchiness/redness is gone. Some brown spots are gone. I had some broken blood vessels, which are almost completely gone. Cons: I have rosacea, and the last fraxel laser treatment I had made it worse (I had 3). I also had clear skin for the most part before my treatments, but now I feel like I'm constantly battling pimples. My skin is more sensitive now, too. Bottom Line: I paid a lot of money for disappointing results. I did do a lot of research before I did this. I went to a dermatologist that specializes in laser treatments. If you're thinking about doing this, keep in mind you may just end up trading some skin problems for other kinds of skin problems. I wouldn't do the fraxel again, just the pulsed light laser to even out my skin tone and get rid of some sun damage. Recommended: No Usage: Brandy has used this item for a few months. Pros: pain, get someone to drive you home so that you can have something to help with the pain during the treatment. I paid 500.00 for the Active FX and had "agressive" treatment. I was told that it does get better over a year... we will see. Cons: downtime, itch and pain for a week, oh and a lot of showers with the water running down my face. Bottom Line: I hope to see the skin color blend a bit better. I may still be 'red' in certain spots that make me look uneven for now. It did pull a lot of sun damage, some of the wrinkles are already smoother... but, I still wait for my face to heal completley. I have a lot more acne and also hope this will go away. Cons: Down time has been over a week, where my doctor stated I could return to work in 3 to 4 days, Not. Have one more week off work, not sure what to do after that. Pros: None so far. Cons: Red lines, dark skin around my mouth, ACNE break out! Bottom Line: I had some wrinkles and age spots I had hoped to diminish. The age spots have not faded at all (today is day 5), I have HUGE zits on my chin from the petrolatum goo I have to use to keep my skin hydrated, I have red spots and am still swollen and I was supposed to go back to work today but I just couldn't go out looking like this. Five nightmare days so far-it was a laser micropeel-it was supposed to heal over 3-4 days. If I'm stuck looking like this I don't know what I'll do. My doctor is on a vacation in the mountains and can't be reached! PLEASE CONSIDER THE CONSEQUENCES. I had very nice healthy skin! Recommended: No Usage: Lizzypoo has used this item for a day or two.
