I had a CO2 full-face laser procedure done five days ago - maybe I'm a fast healer but the scabbing is already gone and my skin looks incredibly smooth and tight - so far I love the results! I had dermabrasion 20 years ago that made my acne scars WORSE and I've been unhappy since then, had bad cystic acne with deep pits and saucer-like depressions.

I used Retin-A for years prior to this, maybe that's made a difference in my healing and results. Also, it seems like you need to wait until you've been acne-free for many years to get good laser resurfacing results.

After doing lots of research I have come to the conclusion that fraxel is the same as N-Lite with out the peel. So have N-Lite which is half the price of fraxel and then do your own home peel. I used this (see the link) [link removed]
Just buy the test peel very cheap and reuse it, it can be used about 5 times before the acid effect stops working. The makers will tell you that you can only use it once but they would so that you buy more. Weather you use peel 1000 or peel 4000 it makes no difference it’s the same stuff ya just get more of it with 4000.

To get rid of scarring all you need to do is force your skin to produce more cologne and N-Lite does this the same as fraxel and so does a home skin peel.
Hope this helps for those that don’t want to spent thousands unnecessarily

Ive been reading these review sites for awhile trying to decide if I want to have laser resurfacing done to firm my face a little bit & try to smooth out a few acne scars.. I havent tried anything as of yet Except Oxylight.. I bought the Oxylight in hopes of firming my face but so far It hasnt done anything in that department. Of course its only been a week ... BUT BUT BUT It is WONDERFUL for acne! I still have a few pimples here and there and let me tell you, The Oxylight will get rid of them & the redness within a day or so. And it will make your skin glow..

I started to send it back because It didnt do what I bought it for but hey... Its came in handy anyway for the breakouts.. Try it .. If you dont like it you can send it back.

It's been 3 weeks since I underwent a CO2 full-face laser procedure. All I can say is that I absolutely love the results! My acne scars are at least 50% improved, the lines around my eyes are gone and the deep lines on my forehead and between my eyes are not nearly as deep. My skin feels tighter, my pores were minimized and I've started using Jane Iredale mineral skin care products and makeup which are fantastic! My skin still has a splotchy pinkness but that improves and gets lighter daily. I would highly recommend my doctor, Dr. William Allison of Dunagan, Yates & Allison, Costmetic Surgery Center in Huntsville, AL.

I'm glad I didn't read all the negative feedback about it on this site or I may never have had it done.

I had laser resurfacing one year ago. I had moderate acne scars and hated the appearance of my skin. I am THRILLED with the results of my surgery! I would do it all over again in an instant! I had the Co2 laser. The recovery was not as bad as I expected. I am happy to share more info with anyone who wants it. I feel like a new person! It was a bit expensive (about $5,000) but WELL worth it.

I had a combination of CO2 and Erbium laser resurfacing done in November 2003. I had a terrible blistering reaction which occurred 11 days after surgery. It is now almost three years later and I am still going through treatment to correct the damage that resulted from the laser. I don't recommend laser resurfacing! It is too risky. My doctor is now doing Fraxil treatments on me which have greatly improved my skin texture.

I started having acne around 12-13 years of age. I talked to a dermatologist about Accutane at 22 and he said I could try it even though my acne wasn't severe. ACCUTANE IS NOT FOR MILD-MODERATE ACNE REGARDLESS WHAT THE DERMATOLOGIST SAYS. I AM GRADUATING IN MAY WITH A DOCTOR OF PHARMACY DEGREE. Anyways, at 22, I took Accutane for my moderate acne and IT MADE MY ACNE 10X WORSE! I got off that crap, healed and was left with scars. Then I went down to MIAMI TO SEE SOME HOT-SHOT DERMATOLOGIST WHO GAVE ME NON-ABLATIVE TREATMENT AND PHOTODYNAMIC TREATMENT AND THAT MADE ME FLAIR OUT BAD! Then, I had to go on Accutane for real (12 months), and was left with even more scarring. All this crap, ruined my self esteem and left me feeling very fragile. I THEN WENT TO DR. NEMETH IN CLEARWATER, FLORIDA TO GET ERBIUM YAG LASER TREATMENT AND ALMOST 1 YR AFTER THAT I HAVE A 50% IMPROVEMENT. ALL I CAN SAY, IS THAT I WILL PROBABLY GET ONE MORE ERBIUM YAG TREATMENT AND ACCEPT MY SCARS. MY BEST ADVICE FOR ANYONE CONSIDERING ANY TREATMENT, DO YOUR RESEARCH, GET A SECOND OPINION, AND GO TO A REPUTABLE DERMATOLOGIST. GO TO A REPUTABLE DERM IS MY BEST ADVICE. Anyone who wants to talk to me can email me at [email address removed]

I am 17 and i had systic acne for last year and it was horrible, i went on accutane and it cleared up in about 6 months, but then i had deep acne scars. Over this last summer i had the laser resurfacing done and it was red for weeks and i didnt really see a lot of improvement, after consulting my dermantologist she told me that it can take up to a year to see its full results and its been about 8 months and it looks really good (scar wise). It is still red because im using tazorac to continue to fill in the scars. I have had three additional V-beam treatments and just had one a week ago today, they help with the redness and help stimulate the skin to grow into the scars. The hard thing about laser treatments is that they take a couple weeks till you feel like you can go out in public again. But you just have to remember that when it does heal it will look great i do suggest The laser resurfacing, Tazorac to help with pimples and smoothness, and V-beam treatments. Oh and by the way for anybody that has had acne and was on acutane did you feel depressed when you were on it? I did peace guys

I live in LA, and there are places you can go to get cooltouch for about $175/treatment. Cool touch helps clear the acne. There are places you can go to get V-Beam for $250 -- V-Beam reduces redness. I recommend getting cooltouch or smoothbeam for acne reduction and V-beam to clear redness. LA laser center has good prices.

Also pads with salicylic acid kill bacteria, fade red marks and clean pores. I like sensitve skin stridex or oxy.

I tried the fraxel for the first time, and it made me break out in a rash of pussy zits all along my jaw line. Consequently, that rash left me with indented scars. I never had acne scars on my jaw line before -- so I'm upset.

As for enlarged pores, clinique has a makeup called pore minimizer that really works.
