| Pros | Overall, skin looks fresher, BUT--I could have gotten that with good facials. |
|---|---|
| Cons | I just had "deep" laser skin resurfacing done exactly one week ago, today for some acne scarring I had...the procedure was EXTREMELY painful and you know what? My acne scars are STILL visible... |
| Bottom line | I didn't expect my acne scars to fully disappear, but after all that pain, not to mention the $$, I expected to at least see a dramatic reduction...and it looks like the same d***m scars are around and I'm feeling really frustrated and helpless as to what to do. |

| Cons | Down Time and cost |
|---|---|
| Bottom line | I had laser resurfacing with the erbrium laser about nine years ago and I was very disappointed with the results. The cost was $4,500 and I saw very little improvement in my acne scarring. I don't recommend it to anyone who wishes to improve moderate acne scarring with pitting. There was also a week of down time and the day after the laser resurfacing my face swelled up like a balloon and it was very uncomfortable the first few days. My face was still as red as a tomato when I returned to work- a week later! |

| Pros | Easy recovery time |

| Cons | Price |
| Bottom line | I had c02 abot 12 years ago and saw a fair amount of improvement in my skin. I decided after careful consideration to pursue Fraxel treatments. I have rolling scars which apparently respond well. After the first treatment, I did not notice much improvement. My derm had warned me not to expect much. I had my second last week and can already notice a marked improvement. I can't wait for my third. They are becoming more aggresive with each treatment. I had little discomfort with treatment 1, but I did breakout and swell considerably. My Dr said it was because of ointment used afterward. This time, I felt it more but cleared up quickly and did not swell as much. The doctor feels that post treatment ointments may contribute to swelling. My family is noticing a difference in my skin already. I really am anxious to have it done again. I recommend people be patient with this treatment. It works. |

| Pros | slight improvement - elation for awhile due to hope. |
|---|---|
| Cons | nothing really removes scars. |
| Bottom line | I have deep, disfiguring scars on my forehead and cheeks from nodular cystic acne the I suffered from the age of 11 until I went on Accutaine in my early 20's. I've had 4 subscisions and 3 TCA Cross treatments and the scars have all sank back down because there was no filler injected underneath and no collagen stimulating laser used. I don't think anything really works for deep, severe scars except cutting them out and resurfacing the tiny, white, hairline scars until they basically blend in with the rest of your skin... I took out a loan on my 401K for scar treatments. I can't believe they aren't covered here in America under any medical insurance...These things are disfiguring and they affect every aspect of one's life. I have a very pretty face but I never get asked out on dates. My scarring is so deep, so awful that I've never had a real boyfriend...And I know the reason why! I feel like an outcast or a criminal. It really is a heavy burden. |

| Pros | feels really good to have it done |
|---|---|
| Cons | May not be available in your local store |
| Bottom line | I only get pimples once every month or so but usually I don't have any pimples. I used to have pimples all the time and I've tried everything. Anyway, this item is called Eskinol. It's a product from the Philippines. I usually use the Calamansi which is like lemon . By the end of the day, I usually take a shower since I feel nasty from all the sweating and everything and I couldn't sleep if I don't take a shower. So before I take a shower, I put some of this Eskinol in a ball of cotton and I would try to clean my face with it. Usually it would take me several balls depending on what I did that day. And usually the cotton would be dark which is surprising since I didn't know how dirty my face was until I used this. I always thought it would be clean once I wash it but it's actually not so that's why I get acne. Anyway, after I take a shower, I use Eskinol again on just one cotton ball to apply it on my face. This will make keep your face from drying out. This is the only time i use it. |

| Pros | I'm hoping that this will eliminiate my malasma patches that aren't severly dark, just had it done 3 days ago....... |
|---|---|
| Cons | My face has been sore, swollen, blotchy red; I also broke out in white-heads all over my face. I feel like I have a thick mask on; it would have been intolerable if they had not given me shots of anastetic. |
| Bottom line | Still unsure, on 3 days into the healing but have yet to notice any significant improvement in my pigmentation, if anything Im scared because my skin looks even splotchier & is covered with pimples. Time will tell. |

| Cons | need advice |
| Bottom line | I just came back from Kaiser's dermatology dept. First, they charged me 100 for half hour consultation. Then, gave me a quote for $1000 per treatment. They probably only have Fraxel Laser Treatment. I hope you guys can give some advice how well it works? I see that there is a CO2 treatment, how is it? My scar is not very bad but I just want to make the pores smaller. |
